Mei Li was waiting for Ryn at the airport when the plane arrived. Ryn who was chatting with Mika was speechless to see her energetic manager waving both hands at her. She turned to the back and looked at her boyfriend but Jeremy just shrugged.
Yes, he was the one who told Mei Li about their arrival time after the woman begged him. She even explained to him why she really needed to speak with Ryn.
"I thought I am still on holiday officially," Ryn murmured to Mei Li as they walked together. Jeremy was following behind them like a gentleman while Jason and Mika went to their driver who was already waiting for them to bring them back to the Wu's mansion.
"I'm sorry but you have a recording in an hour," Mei Li apologized.
Ryn's eyes widened. In an hour? Why wasn't she been informed about this? Who approved it?
Mei Li ran her eyes from looking at Ryn's face. It was not as if she deliberately hide this from Ryn but the model already warned not to send anything related to work during her holiday. Hence, she came here waiting for Ryn.
Ryn sighed as she rubbed her temple. Even if she was mad, it was already signed and she was expected to appear.
"I need food," she said finally. She turned and looked at her boyfriend.
"I guess I will pick up my car tomorrow," she told him.
"Do you want me to accompany you?" He asked.
"No. I'll go with Mei Li. Tell the others I will come tomorrow," she decided firmly.
"Aren't you going to change your clothes?" Mei Li asked.
Ryn looked at her outfit and pursed her lips. She thought she would take a shower once she reached home and then if she was not too hungry, would go straight to sleep.
She guessed she had to change her lazy plan. And she might need to change into another suitable outfit.
"I don't think we have time to go to my place to change?" she asked with a frown.
"No, you don't. I'm sorry," Mei Li apologized. If only the plane came according to the schedule, she thought. Nothing could be done now so they needed to use the available time as best as they could. If she allowed Ryn to go back to change her clothes, there was a possibility for the model to automatically go to the bed and in her words to have 'a five minutes nap only'. And it would make them so late because Ryn would refuse to wake up, citing she was exhausted from her flight.
Work first and then Ryn could have as long as rest as she needs.
Mei Li did not think that she was being heartless. She only wanted the best for Ryn and for this third episode, she wished Ryn would let loose and reveal the side she only showed to those close to her.

"Just make-up and hair," Ryn decided finally. She did not plan to ask for Mika's help. She knew her best friend was exhausted from the trip as well as it was not proper when Mika was supposed to meet her in-laws once she came back. And later, she would meet her family too with Jason. It was what was expected from the couple.
"Okay," Mei Li nodded. They could do that. She would call a hairdresser and a makeup artist that she knew could take a last-minute job. Basically, once they reached the studio, Ryn would get her make-up and hairstyle while Mei Li explained what she was expected to do during the recording. As this was the second episode that Ryn would be involved with at the studio, Mei Li was hoping Ryn knew what to expect and to do.
Jeremy just followed them. He was waiting for a suitable time to buŧŧ into the conversation. But it seemed like he was not needed at all. He frowned.
Ryn turned to look at her boyfriend. Jeremy quickly approached her.
"J, is it okay if you go first? Mei Li will bring me to the studio and then send me home," Ryn asked.
"I can send you," he said quickly.
"No. You must be tired. Go home and sleep," she said as her hand automatically reached to stroke his nape. She knew he was exhausted too. Having to plan and make sure everything went well during the holiday and at the same time, she knew he was trying to win her heart without being so obvious. It must be tiring especially for a perfectionist like him.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Hmm..." she nodded. "The driver must have been waiting for you for long. Go. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Are you sure?" he asked again, hoping she would change his mind.
"Yes, I'm sure. You should go now and have a rest. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night, J," she leaned for a light kiss.
"I'll see you tomorrow. Make them dazzle of you," he whispered against her lips. "I love you. Good night."
He waited for a while but she did not repeat those three words to him. He sighed but covered his disappointment with a smile. He rubbed her bottom lip gently before her cheek before leaning for another kiss before he looked at Mei Li.
"Take good care of my girl here, Mei Li," he reminded the manager before he said goodbye again to his girlfriend before he left with their luggage.
Mei Li and Ryn watched as the man finally left, along with the luggage. Ryn's lips were twitched when she looked back at her manager.
"Let's go," Ryn said before sighing. "I need coffee first. Tell me we still have time to get a cup of coffee... or two."
"Yeah, we can," Mei Li nodded. They still have time to stop by at the coffee house to get Ryn her stock of caffeine. And she needed a cup or two too.
Mei Li carried the coffee while leading Ryn to where she parked the car. She then asked Ryn to hold the coffee for her while she unlocked the door. Then, she took her cup of coffee while Ryn took hers before they got into the car.
"I hope we reach there in time," Mei Li murmured after she started the engine.
Mei Li tried to drive as fast as she could and they finally reached the company in no time. The security let them in and Mei Li quickly parked the car.
Ryn and Mei Li went to the room that was prepared for them and there, the makeup artist and the hairstylist already waited for them.. Ryn quickly sat down, placing her second cup of coffee on the counter after she greeted the two of them cheerfully.
