Mika drove the car calmly. Not a word came out from her mouth even though she was a chatterbox between them. And she always has something to talk about, every single time. But this time, she just kept quiet.
Mika glanced at her silently seething best friend. She pursed her lips thoughtfully.
After ten minutes, Ryn let out a heavy sigh.
Mika glanced at her but still did not say anything. She waited more.
"Is this normal?" Ryn asked finally.

"A rich man thinks that he owns all women?"

Mika saw the smile. She smiled back. She did not speak because she did not want to ruin the happiness. Let Ryn happy first with whatever she read in her phone. Later, once they reached the restaurant, she would make her best friend happier by treating her delicious steaks.
Mika's finger tapped the steering wheel happily as she drove toward the restaurant. In just fifteen minutes or so, they would arrive.
Ryn threw her eyes at the window and sighed. Mika was right. It was not worth it to be angry when nothing could be done. The only thing she could do if the next time she faced this kind of thing again, she would harden her heart and refuse him seriously.
They chose to eat at the upper floor facing the lake. Mika rested her cheek on her hand and looked at the lake appreciatingly. Oh, maybe next time she should ask Jason to bring her here. A candlelit dinner, maybe?

The waiter waited for their order after introduced himself and handed the menu. He stood there politely with a smile. His hand was holding a phone to take the order.
Ryn immediately ordered her favourite steaks (three portions) and drink while Mika had to take some time to choose what she wanted to eat and drink.
Finally, she chose a bowl of cranberries greek salad and fresh orange. She handed the menu back and thanked the waiter.
The waiter repeated back their order before he excused himself. The order was already printed in the kitchen, so he would go check if other customers needed help.
"So, what is your plan for your practical?" Mika asked once the waiter left. She knew that Ryn would do her practical soon. She was waiting for Ryn to say that she would work with her, her dearest best friend.
