Jay was lost in his own world after summoning the hammer while Res was completely shocked after looking at the hammer.
His jaws had literally dropped just by feeling the intense energy that was being liberated from the hammer.
Also, the black cloud that surrounded Jay made him look like a necromancer for a moment.
But when he too heard the voice, he paused and inevitably ended up staring at the statue.
Jay too had his glance fixated on the statue that was right in front of him.
"That is..."
He was too surprised to even say anything.
"Master...? Is that you?"
The voice was of a female and it was quite gentle and soft.
It felt as if the voice was filled with sorrow and sadness.
For a moment Res thought that he was hallucinating, but when he looked at Jay who was also staring at the statue, he understood by his gesture that this was no hallucinating.
Though, the mouth of the statue didn't move, it was evident that the voice was coming from the statue.
'This voice...'
All of a sudden a memory of some distant past flashed in his mind in which there was a young girl who was sitting in a garden while someone with a black armor arrived.
The moment the person with the armor arrived, she stood up and bowed her head while saying, 'Welcome master...'
Right now Jay heard a similar voice, though it felt a bit matured, but it was same.
"Master...? Can you here me? Are you here?"
"Please respond..."
Jay was by no means her master, and he couldn't possibly answer to her.
But whenever he heard her voice, his heart started to beast rapidly and his brain seemed to show many images of some unknown girl who had orange hair.
So he failed to resist no matter how hard he tried and ended up answering, :Yes... I'm here."
Right after he said that the statue paused.
It seemed like it was satisfied just by hearing the voice but it seemed too easy and too less.
A moment ago the statue was trying to call out to him and now all of a sudden it was quite again.
Jay thought that he had done something wrong when all of a sudden the statue started to move again.
"Master..."
"I'm sorry..."
"I'm so very sorry."
The statue kept saying this and that too with a loud voice which echoed in the room.
"That's..."
Jay was quite for a while when all of a sudden he found that the hands of the statue moved.
The fist opened and the staff which she was holding slowly started to fall towards him.
"Huh...? This..."
Jay could see the staff falling and he was right under it. If he were to stand there then without a doubt he would end up getting crushed under it.
"Jay! Get away from there!"
Res shouted at the top of his voice as if he had already seen the staff falling before hand.
But Jay didn't move from the place. On seeing this Res rushed as fast as he could by using the portals.
He entered a portal which he created and placed right in front of him and then exited the portal that was just next to Jay.
He wanted to pull Jay inside the portal when all of a sudden he realized that the staff was already going to crush him since it had almost touched his head.
"Jay!", Res shouted at the top of his voice when a loud sound was heard.
'BAM'
It was as if the staff hit the ground or something.
But then that didn't actually mattered to Res right now. What he wanted to check was if Jay was alright.
His eyes were quite bulged and he waited for the dust cloud to move away which happened in a few seconds.
"Wow... unbelievable...", Res had no other word to describe what he was looking at.
Jay literally held the entire staff as if it was nothing in his left hand just like that.
It seemed completely weightless to him and that was without a doubt something like a miracle that had happened.
The loud noise that was heard was just from the contact of the statue's legs and the floor and the dust clouds probably came from there.
Res couldn't understand anything that had happened and wanted to ask Jay when he found Jay smiling while looking at the staff.
"Now will you return to your normal size or do you still want to remain big and fat?", Jay said jovially.
"What is he trying to say...?", Res asked in a low voice when finally he realized what had actually happened after taking a look at another spectacular scene.
The staff which just feel suddenly transformed right after which it's size decreased and it turned orange color instead of the stony body that it had earlier.

He didn't see the info about the staff since he just heard it's voice and probably decided to keep it for later.
Jay didn't know much about the staff and it's owner but that didn't mean that he would distance himself from that.
He had thought of getting to know it self slowly and steadily which would be the best.
But he did end up saying just one thing, "Welcome home Veronica..."
To which he got a reply which only he could hear.
'Thanks master...'
Till now Res didn't understand anything that had happened but more than that it seemed like he was quite satisfied to see Jay smile.
All of a sudden after this happened the dungeon started to shake which showed the signs that the dungeon was probably cleared.
"Jay, let's go back... the dungeon will vanish anytime soon...", Res shouted and asked Jay to come with him.
Jay nodded his head right after which he cancelled summoning of the hammer which was probably just for show and walked towards him right after which he created a portal through which they exited.
But just as they passed through it, a weird system notification popped up for Jay.
'Ding'
[ Ancient Soul detected ]
[ Do you want to extract it? ]
