"Wha-"

"What did you say?", now Jay was surprised yet again.

Will his surprise ever end? Well, maybe not, at least not until Jake kept speaking.

But the fact was that, even if Jake didn't open his mouth, he would still end up surprising Jay, at least his stats would.

Whatever it may be, now what was important was about the thing which Jake mentioned.

Jay thought that he was the only one who had heard a mysterious voice asking for help, however after hearing Jake say that, he had to think again and wonder if Jake was also asked to help.

Who knew, he was quite strong and had tons of secrets, so he might have been asked to help!

"I said, go and help the ones that need you right now instead of thinking about those creators who would stay put unless the world got destroyed!", Jake raised his voice and said this.

He was annoyed because Jay had been asking him to repeat himself, at least he had done two to three times earlier too.

"Y-yes..."

"But..."

"How did you know that someone called me for help...?", Jay asked.

"..."

"Do you really need to know that now? Shouldn't you go and save them first?"

"Don't you know that even a second matters?"

He did make sense, Jay couldn't just waste his time right now in questioning Jake when someone was genuinely in need of help!

"Yes, I know that, but I don't know where and whom to help...", Jay replied by saying this.

"..."

All of a sudden a weird silence occupied the entire room, not that any noise ever entered from outside, it was only them speaking all this time.

"You are right about that..."

"They didn't mention their identity after all...", Jake nodded his head as if he was agreeing with what Jay had said.

"Hmm, fine then, I will help you this one time...", Jake said in a low voice.

"Huh?", now that was confusing.

What did he mean by helping him only this one time? What was he going to do?

"Here...", he raised his right hand and posed it towards Jay.

'Wha-'

'What is he trying to do?', Jay asked himself while having an awkward expression on his face.

Right after he raised his hand, Jay could feel a weird aura. The pressure changed in the room a bit right after which a notification suddenly popped up.

"What the-"

"Why is my system showing this?", Jay panicked and asked in a raised voice.

"Interesting, you don't have 'that' key yet...", Jake said in a low voice as if he had concluded after seeing those details.

"Ha?", now Jay was even more puzzled and baffled.

"Wait, what key?"

"And before that..."

"You can see the screen?", Jay asked.

"..."

"Of course I can see after all I was the one that asked the system to display the message...", Jake said as if it was nothing but for Jay, it was a big thing, probably bigger than knowing the secrets about the System Creators or Jake's stats.

"H-how can you look at the system?"

"Wasn't it supposed to be my personal belonging?", Jay was scared.

He was indeed terrified which anyone could see by taking a look at his trembling body and shaky eyes.

The reason was simple, all this time when he faced his opponents he thought that he had an advantage and that was because he could see their stats and descriptions thanks to the system.

However, now the situation was quite the opposite. Though he could still see Jake's status, he couldn't feel safe. But that was not all, Jake could use the system as if it was his own.

Just what was the identity of this human, Jake? Wait, was he even a human, to begin with?

Well, the system didn't show the race or species, so it was probably hard to say, or probably not.

Whatever Jay felt insecure now because Jake was able to use the system which he was quite fond of as if it was nothing.

Jay had tons of items inside the inventory of the system so he was worried about those too.

"Oh my God, stop with your questions!"

"Rank up and get stronger, you will know by yourself everything!"

"For now, complete this mission, with this you will get the key that will take you to the place where the ones that were asking for help are present..."

So basically, Jake meant that Jay had to go somewhere with a key, and probably that lace would be the place where he would find the ones that contacted him or asked for his help!

He would probably learn more about the Dark Overlord at that place. But why would he be required to complete a mission to gain the key?

It was almost as if Jake saw the future that the reward for the next mission would be the key!

'Ding'

[ Mission XGCD01: Blood Moon ]

[ -> Gain the knowledge about the blood essence from Vampires ]

[ -> Create Blood Essence [  0/1 ] ]

[ Appropriate rewards will be given on the completion of the mission ]

[ Failure would lead to a decrease in all stats by 30 ]

And the mission popped up just when Jay kept wondering about Jake's identity.

"You can see that the mission has no time limit..."

"This means that you can complete the mission either today, tomorrow, or even after a year..."

"It would not affect it at all...", was what Jake said.

For a moment it seemed like a good thing because Jay wouldn't have to worry about the time limit, however after hearing Jake's next statement, he understood that the time limit wasn't provided just because there was no need for one, since a real timer had already started long ago!

"Well, if you delay too much, you won't be able to save them..."

"So it's entirely up to you, whether you complete it and save them, or delay it and take as much rest as possible..."

*gulp*

Jay swallowed a large amount of dry saliva while thinking about that. Oh well, one thing for sure, he wasn't completely aware of the so-called key that would take him to the place where he would be able to help the ones that called him.

'And, why am I wanting so much to help them?'

'Is it too common to be this eager to save someone unknown?', Jay questioned himself.

Well, he wasn't wrong, he had been agreeing to everything when the matter came about saving the unknown ones, however not once did he think if this could be a trap or something else.

Though that was probably because he had felt the pain with which they had asked for help, also, just hearing the word Dark Overlord made him excited.

Regardless, the bottom line was that he wanted to help and now the first thing that he had to do was complete the mission.

"Tsk, I will ask you about other things later..."

"For now, I am leaving!"

'Ding'

[ You have used the skill Stealth ]

[ Your presence and- ]

Right after saying that, he vanished from the place by using the skill stealth and dash simultaneously.

Perhaps, he didn't want to waste even a single second despite the fact that he had tons of questions.

Well, the mission seemed somewhat easy for him and that was probably because it involved the vampires. Since he had tons of vampires under him, he could ask them whenever he wanted.

Of course, having some low leveled vampire could end up failing his mission, but he had some pretty high-level bastards which included a Vampire Overlord, which was no small thing!

"Just wait for me..."

"..."
