Daedalus had left the planet with Andromeda. They both desired knowledge and so that's what they would seek. With that in mind they split up and headed in opposite directions.
Daedalus had a feeling they wouldn't see each other in a long time but they would always be able to find the other.
Daedalus had decided to start at the basics once more. He left everything behind with Reginn and Rose, Ronin didn't want any though as he liked to get his own things.
With that Daedalus had no items to use only his cultivation which he had recently reset and would only allow basic abilities in space. Like that he left the planet and began travelling. The first thing he did was start gathering rocks that flew past him.
That is how, over the course of a year, Daedalus built a basic stone platform to sit on as he traveled. It also widened the area he could grab space debris from, he could also do basic body weight exercises.

Two years later and Daedalus' Platform was about ten times larger with basic smithing tools. Unfortunately most fires didn't burn well in space so he was experimenting near a star.
He was using glass like debris to fashion a simple magnifying lens so that he could focus the heat directly from the star at a metal he was trying to melt. If he succeeded he would be able to start work on making his platform into a moving ship.

Half a year later, Daedalus managed to melt down one of the smaller segments of meteor he had found in his journey. His platform had also gotten larger though not by much, he had mostly been strengthening the platform to resist the gravity of the star he was orbiting.
It looked to him like the asteroid field he was in was compacting around his platform as well. So he was kind of curious if it would start forming a planet, if so he was going to stay and claim it.

With the beginnings of a planet forming around him Daedalus took it as an opportunity to gather materials. He still hadn't decided what he was going to do with the planet if he did stay, he had even considered taking the planet as his spaceship.
For now though Daedalus was working on his star forge as he had taken to calling it. He estimated that it would take about a decade for the materials he needed to be collected, and using his current primitive star forge, processed into the desired material.

As luck would turn out the sender materials seemed to be gravitating towards the center of the planetary storm. So the time it took to gather base materials was significantly lowered. however to keep the asteroids nearby Daedalus had created chains to attach them to the platform.
This inevitably led to the planet forming a little quicker than expected and soon he had to deal with the new gravity the forming planet had produced. Though he immediately began using the gravity to his advantage and incorporated it into his plans for his star forge.

Seven years later Daedalus stood in the center of a relatively high tech spherical room with a heavily reinforced stone platform suspended in the center. The platform had a pipe that ran through the dense stone outside the room and had lens made of a strange see through metal which amplified the heat of the star it was orbiting. Another thing on the platform was a forge which was powered by the heat of the star that the pipe brought down.
Every few years while he was building the pipeline Daedalus had had to dig through new layers of stone in order to make sure the pipe didn't get blocked but it all worked out. The planet that had formed around Daedalus' platform had finished forming, having been sped up by Daedalus.
The surface while molten lava was not an issue for Daedalus as he knew it would cool eventually but now he just had to spend his time preparing materials and other things to help him make his planet move more easily.
Yes he had decided to make the planet his base of operations while he explored. It also gave him a chance to see the forming of a planet from nothing but asteroids and space dust.
