President Presley placed his hands into his pant pockets and waited a while for Juin to give it a thought. After a moment of silence, he continued, "If you haven't heard about it, the Nakamura Family is a family of exorcists. They can tolerate the existence of humans who are possessed by demons, but only if they are pledged to a group and are following certain rules. For those who chose to remain free, the Nakamura Family would go after them like hellhounds…"

He bent and leaned forward slightly so that he was on eye level with Juin. "And let me warn you, Mr. Juin, having a contracted demon exorcised from your body is not a fun experience…"

"What do you mean?" Juin asked, his voice thinning without him knowing it.

President Presley stood up straight and looked down at Juin as he answered, "Let's just say that the pain level is equated to having your skin cut off while you are alive…"

Hearing that, Juin could not help but shiver slightly, especially when he looked into President Presley's piercing silver eyes that unnerved him. He could almost swear that the eyes were rippling!

"S-stop scaring me!"

Turning around quickly so that he could clutch his slightly trembling hand without the man seeing it, Juin kept telling himself in his mind to stay calm. He then glanced at Lucifer, who was standing on the ground right in front of him.

After his outburst earlier, Lucifer was still in a semi-translucent state, and there was no way he could fight at the moment. Therefore, Juin had to be careful with his words as not to anger the man.

Clearing his throat, Juin counted to five before turning around. His heart jumped wildly as he asked President Presley with a serious expression, "What about the Order? If I say no, would you come after me as well?"

"No…" President Presley said as he stared at Juin. "But I can't guarantee that the members of the Order won't go after you."

Hearing that, Juin's eyes widened slightly. "That's a threat, right?" Juin thought to himself. Basically, President Presley was insinuating that Juin had no choice but to join them, not if he wanted to live a peaceful life.

Before he could finish thinking, President Presley added, "And the longer you stay at that house, the more danger you would be bringing to the residents of that house."

Prior to visiting Mrs. Martin and asking about Juin, he had actually been keeping tabs on Juin, as well as those who were close to Juin, and he knew that Juin was quite close with the woman as well as a kid who was living in the same house.

When he talked to Mrs. Martin, President Presley figured out that Juin wasn't someone with huge ambitions, and most likely, the teenager did not care much for money and fame. Hence, he had to strike where Juin felt strongest about -- the people he cared for.

The moment he said that, Juin's mind was filled with images of Mrs. Martin and Wesley, with whom he was closest to. As well as Max. He had seen firsthand what it was like to watch someone he cared about getting hurt because of him.

And when he thought about the men who had been watching him from the dark, he knew that President Presley was right. More and more people would come after him. At least Max had her father that could keep her safe at home, and she would be safe at school too… but Mrs. Martin and Wesley… They didn't have such luck.

At his current state, if he continued to stay at Mrs. Martin's place, he might bring danger to them. And after what he found out today, a part of him was afraid that the danger might come from the shackled soul within himself instead of someone else.

What if he lost control? And Lucifer couldn't control him?

"Would they be safe if I leave?" Juin thought to himself sadly as he looked down at his hands. All his life, he had to sit by the side and wait for Ashton or someone else to save him… But he really wanted to be a hero too. He wanted to protect the people he cared about.

"As much as I hate it, it might not be a bad idea for you to pledge to a group," Lucifer suddenly said with a serious tone as he floated to next to Juin, still keeping a distance away from President Presley. He had a feeling that the man could somewhat sense his presence, but he could not see him for real. As such, Lucifer did not want to take the risk of getting too near to him, in case he had some weapons that could attack him.

Lucifer looked at Juin and continued, "I can protect you for only a short period of time… Until you learn everything, your life would be in constant danger. So, this is a choice that you must make carefully."

Juin agreed with Lucifer. He had seen how close Lucifer was to disappearing earlier, and despite the latter's constant bullying, Juin actually liked him. At the very least, Lucifer was someone who was trying to make him stronger.

But at the moment…

Juin looked up at President Presley. With a determined yet respectful tone, he said, "Thank you, President Presley. Please give me a few days to think about this."

The man's eyes widened slightly, but he soon nodded. "Alright then. You know how to call for me. If you lost the card, for whatever reason, then you can just let Luca know."

Juin nodded.

Vrooom!

A Porsche suddenly stopped in front of the bus stop.

President Presley smiled and said, "Would you like a lift?"

Juin shook his head and declined politely. "I can get back on my own."

"As you wish… I hope I'll be able to hear from you soon, Mr. Juin, and with good news," President Presley said before entering the car. When he closed the door behind him, he said to the driver, "Send someone to keep an eye on the boy. Until he makes his decisions, I don't want anyone from other groups to approach him. And if someone does approach him, I want to know immediately."

"Yes, sir," said the driver.

After the car drove off, Juin asked Lucifer, who was standing next to him, "Your Majesty, did you notice something strange?"

Lucifer nodded. "He doesn't have any scent or anything that can alert me of his presence…"

"Erm…" Juin glanced at Lucifer and said, "I'm talking about something that's easier to see…"

It wasn't like he was strong enough to sense whatever it was that Lucifer could sense.

"What?"

"He didn't sweat at all…"

"So?" Lucifer raised a brow, wondering what that had to do with anything.

"You can't feel it, but it's actually quite warm at the moment…" Juin wiped his forehead with the back of his hand and looked at the beads of sweat on it. "He's fully suited up, but he didnt even sweat. That's not weird to you?"

Hearing Juin's observation, Lucifer frowned and nodded slowly. "Alright, maybe a little…"

Thus, based on their mutual observations, he had a strong feeling that the man was from that exiled race. But why would someone from such a proud race lead a group of supernatural humans?
