That night, when Juin was in bed, he could not help but think of his encounter with President Presley.

As he twirled the silver calling card between his fingers, he mumbled, "The Order... the Nakamura…"

Suddenly, he sat up and cursed, "Sh*t!"

"What?" Wesley, who was doing his homework at his corner, turned around and looked at Juin. "Did you lose another marble?"

Juin ignored him and turned his body over so that he was facing the wall. "I forgot about the Nakamura girl…"

Lucifer was floating in midair, thinking about everything that happened today, so he replied nonchalantly, "She probably left after a while…"

"I hope so…" Juin sighed. He felt bad for leaving a girl out there, waiting for him, but he did not think about Mika Nakamura for long. After all, there were a lot more important things in his mind.

Placing his free hand under his pillow, he touched the dagger that Warlock gave him today, remembering the feeling that he felt when he brandished the dagger earlier.

It had felt so right in his hand, almost like it belonged to him, and he could not wait until he could use it again.

"Wesley," Juin suddenly called the younger boy.

"Yeah?" Wesley answered without looking up from his book. His hand continued to move across his notebook as he tried his best to finish all his homework before bedtime.

Juin turned over to face him and asked, "In those mangas you read, what happens when the hero is faced with a choice of choosing between clans or groups to pledge himself to?"

The reason why Juin asked the younger boy this question was that Wesley read a lot of mangas, which might be ridiculous for those living in the normal world, but in Juin's current situation, Wesley's knowledge might be able to help him a little. After all, Juin's current life had somewhat turned into a manga-like situation...

Upon hearing Juin's unusual question, Wesley's hand stopped moving, and he turned around to face Juin with a curious expression. "Since when are you interested in the mangas I read?"

The Juin that he knew would only read mangas occasionally, and he would never ask this kind of question.

Juin shrugged as he said nonchalantly, "I'm just curious…"

Throwing his pen lightly on the desk, Wesley thought for a moment before saying, "Well, usually the hero would see what he could receive from the groups first."

"Isn't that superficial and materialistic?"

"Superficial and materialistic?" Wesley reached over to his bed and picked up a pillow before throwing it at Juin, who caught it deftly. His action did not escape unnoticed by the younger boy. Juin's reflex had been getting better compared to before, and that was not the only change in Juin.

Instead, he scoffed, "Well, if the hero is being recruited into those groups, that means the groups are interested in something in him. Usually, it's his power. So, it's basically a mutually beneficial exchange."

The younger boy then smirked and said, "Do you think those groups will treat the heroes nicely if they suddenly lost their powers? In a lot of mangas and light novels, the moment the heroes suffer some sort of setbacks and lost their powers, the groups that they are in will turn their backs on them. Friends might even become enemies. So, they might as well get whatever they can when they have the bargaining power."

"You got a point there," Juin mumbled as he nodded his head slowly. He thought about Wesley's words seriously. He should ask President Presley, as well as the other groups that would undoubtedly approach him soon, about what kinds of benefits he could get from them.

At the moment, he was thinking more of something that could protect the people he cared for. President Presley told him that they had plenty of weapons, and Juin could not help but wonder if there was any that could protect the normal humans at all times.

Wesley was about to return to his homework when he thought about something. He then asked in a low voice, "Are you involved in some groups? Did you get recruited by some weird people?"

"No, of course not!" Juin replied with a wave of his hand. He then narrowed his eyes and asked curiously, "Did you?"

Wesley shook his head. "But I heard that there have been some weird people going around the schools here… One of my friends said that his older brother was asked to join some… Dark Human Group or something."

Juin frowned slightly. "Dark Human Group?"

"That's probably another group of supernaturals, probably a smaller one," Lucifer said all of a sudden. He had been paying attention to their conversation. "We'll talk to the were-idiots tomorrow."

Juin thought about it and nodded.

"Anyway, don't get yourself involved in things that you can't get out off," Wesley advised in a serious tone.

"Hey, I'm the older one here, I should be telling you that," Juin said with a frown. "Stay away from these groups."

He then sat up straight and said with a serious expression, "And stay away from strangers."

President Presley already came for him, and he met with Mrs. Martin behind Juin's back. Juin was afraid that, in order to get information about him, some of them might go directly to Wesley.

Wesley grinned and said, "Ha! Don't worry about me! I'm the one with more worldly experience… through mangas, anyway."

For kids like them who did not have parents to fret over them, they learned whatever they could from their surroundings… And Wesley learned a lot from the mangas.

Juin rolled his eyes at the boy's words. He then thought of something and asked, "Oh yeah, in those mangas, how would the hero know if the group is a good group or a bad group?"

"Um…" Wesley frowned slightly and scratched the back of his head as he said, "Usually, it's clear cut, but in darker theme mangas, usually, there's no such distinction between good and bad groups.

"Generally, people assume that the groups the heroes are in are the good ones, but in my opinion, there are no good groups. Everyone is just using each other to gain what they want."

He gave a curious glance at Juin as he said, "In the end, it's just a matter of how far they would go to achieve their goal."
