The next day,

Juin waited until recess before talking to Mika Nakamura.

"Mika, I'm sorry about yesterday. I totally forgot about it…" Juin apologized as he looked at Mika awkwardly.

To his surprise, the girl merely smiled and said, "Oh, I left after 10 minutes. It's not like I waited for hours for you."

However, in her mind, she was stabbing Juin a thousand times as she thought, "You b*stard! I waited three hours for you! What do you mean you forgot about it? Who the f*ck forgets about a date with someone like me?!"

She should have left after one hour, no… after 15 minutes! But no, she waited like an idiot. If it weren't because of Juin's special circumstances, she would have left immediately.

It took her brother the entire night to calm her down, but when Juin said that he forgot about it, her ego was bruised again. No matter what, she was one of the prettiest girls at school. How could he forget about a date with her?!

"Is he blind or something?!" Mika Nakamura thought as she smiled gently at Juin.

"Are you sure?" Juin mumbled as he scratched the back of his head. He was hoping that she would get mad at him a little. After all, he stood her up. So he felt a little uncomfortable that she did not seem mad at all. "Look, it's my fault. I feel really bad about it."

He took out his meager amount of allowance and said, "Erm, how about I buy you lunch?"

Mika looked at the money in his hand and sighed. "It's fine… My meals are covered as part of the tuition expenses. How about you just buy me a drink?"

"Ask her out on a date, you dumba*s," a voice said from above Juin. Lucifer rolled his eyes at Juin's lack of charm and wondered if Juin would remain a virgin for the rest of his life if things had remained the same.

"A date?" Juin gasped softly, but his words were heard by Mika. He immediately looked away shyly and glanced back to see if anyone else heard him. Thankfully, most people had left the room, and the person he worried about the most was having lunch with her boyfriend at the moment.

"A date?" Mika cocked her head.

Juin cleared his throat and said, "Erm, yeah… I'll make it up to you. How about tonight after school? I'll buy you dinner and we can talk about whatever it is that you wanted to talk with me about yesterday."

Mika thought about it for a moment. She had missed her training yesterday, so she wasn't sure if she could miss it again today. However, when she thought about how her brother wanted her to ingrain herself to Juin, which would be good for her standing at home, as well as her own lack of time in terms of her own destiny, she relented.

Therefore, Taka was absolutely sure that Juin had something to do with the disappearance of the Book of the Daemon. Up until now, they still could not find the whereabouts of those items. The Nakamura Family had people who were deeply embedded with the underground world, but so far, there were no news from the black market yet.

And when the book and the sword first disappeared, the Nakamura Family had actually sent someone to search the museum for any traces of magic that would give them some answer. But there was nothing.

The room was protected by anti-portal magic, and it was strongly warded to prevent supernatural beings from getting in by tricks. So, whoever took the stuff must have gone in through the front door and took it out of the front door as well.

And everything pointed to Juin, the only person seen walking in and out of the room at that time.

Mika, who loved her brother dearly, wanted to help him find the book and the sword since it would raise her brother's rank in the family. Besides, their father had been looking for them as well.

The patriarch of the Nakamura Family had actually wanted to buy the book and the sword from the person who donated them to the museum, but that person strongly objected to it, citing that only the fated one would be able to use the sword and the book.

This caused the patriarch to feel suspicious. Those items were pretty much useless to someone like him and he had only wanted those items for decorations, but the way that person kept rejecting him made him feel that there was something more to the sword and the book.

And apparently, to protect the items, he did not tell anyone which museum he placed them in. There must be a reason why he did not want any supernatural beings to get their hands on them and why he placed them in an insignificant museum in a small town.

If the Nakamura Family had known about the right museum early on, they wouldn't have allowed anyone else to get their hands on it.

"Dad said that the donor was looking for a fated person. If Juin is really the fated person, then it will be great if he can join us, Mika, because I'm sure that the 'fated person' the donor talked about is someone that will, one way or another, bring the 'new king' to this world," Taka Nakamura said to his sister during one of their training.

It was a prophecy that was passed down among all supernatural creatures, that one day, a king would arrive on Earth and unite every supernatural being, taking them to where they truly belong.

No one knew when this king would arrive, but everyone had been preparing for it ever since the prophecy appeared a few hundred years ago.

As a family of exorcists, the Nakamura Family was trying to prevent that prophecy from coming to fruition. And if they could not, they wanted to bring the "king" into their ranks so as to control him or her better.
