"You can't leave once you joined," John said with a serious expression, interrupting Juin's thought process. "This is not a high school drama club, this is a group with a bunch of powerful creatures and powers. The only way to leave is to sacrifice something, and most of the time, it's a part of your power."

"And once you sacrificed a part of your power, you'll be significantly weakened. Joining another group will mean being on a lower rank," Patrick added with a shudder. They were already at the bottom of the Order. If they joined the other supernatural groups, they would only fare worse than now.

Juin recalled Mr. Thompson's words, that "once you joined one of the factions, you would never be able to leave without paying a heavy price for it".

"Did he pay with his power?" Juin thought as he glanced at Lucifer, who was floating behind the two.

He narrowed his eyes as he thought of the conversation that he had with Mr. Thompson, and he vaguely recalled that Mr. Thompson once mentioned that he was a lot weaker now. At that time, Juin thought that it was because of his age… but he felt that he might have deduced wrongly.

"Ask about the other groups," Lucifer said. "We can read about the history of the Order from the book that the Thompson guy gave us. For now, focus more on things that we don't know yet."

Juin nodded, but before that, he asked, "How do you sacrifice your power?"

Patrick and John exchanged glances, and after a while, Patrick shook his head while John said, "I'm not too sure about it, but my mum said that President Presley has an item that can suck away your power."

"What happens to the part of power that was taken away?" Juin asked. All those powers that were taken away had to go somewhere.

John glanced around before answering, "I heard that the parts would then be infused into weapons, to be used by members of the group."

"Do you guys have any?"

"We aren't strong enough to qualify for any weapons," Patrick said with a sigh. "You need to be able to use your soul power before they would give you one. After all, the weapons are there to help you control your soul power."

Hearing their explanation, Juin nodded slightly. He then looked at the other two teenagers and asked, "There are more than the Order and the Nakamura Clan, right? Tell me more about the others."

Patrick and John whispered among themselves for a while before nodding. They then looked at Juin, and John said, "It would take forever to tell you everything about the other groups, and recess is almost over, but if there's something that you must be aware of, then it's the Dark Night Clan."

"Dark Night Clan?"

"Anymore?" Juin asked curiously.

John shrugged and explained, "I guess you can say that they are like the human Ku Kux Klan. Well, used to be. They hated supernatural humans because they believed by diluting the bloodlines, the supernatural humans had committed travesty. Thus, in the past, they would attack any supernatural humans they could find… Until one day, the Order got way too strong and forced them to stay away."

There was also the situation with the unfairness during the Battle of the Underground Beings that caused the rift between Dark Night Clan and the other groups to widen significantly.

"So the relationship between the Order and the Dark Night Clan is quite murky…" Juin murmured.

"Each to his own. It's the same as in Alercane," Lucifer muttered nonchalantly. "Different groups are only allies if they have the same goals."

Juin sighed. He just wanted to live in a world where everyone was nice and kind and there was no stupid war to be fought… But that world would never exist, not even in any of the multiple dimensions that Lucifer told him about before.

"Purity of supernatural bloodline," Juin repeated in a murmur. He then looked at John and said, "So they won't come after me, right? I'm just a supernatural Earth human."

"By convention, no," John said. "But it's hard to say."

"Why?" Juin asked, feeling annoyed that he was always a special case.

John glanced at Patrick before saying, "Because of what happened at the museum. Some people are looking for the book and the sword that disappeared from the room when you fainted are, and they believed that you took it."

He then narrowed his eyes and asked in a whisper, "Did you?"

"What?" Juin gasped. "No, I didn't! I haven't seen it since I last saw it at the museum, and I'm not even sure if I saw it correctly. I still think that everything's just a dream."

"Well, they disappeared, and you're the last one who saw them," Patrick interjected before John could say anything. "It would be hard to convince people that you're not responsible for it…"

RRRrinnngggg!!!

At the moment, the school bell rang, indicating the end of recess. Patrick and John looked at Juin, who then waved a hand nonchalantly and said, "You guys can go."

The two then ran down from the rooftop while Juin slowly walked down.

"Those two have completely submitted themselves to your mercy," Lucifer remarked with a chuckle as he floated down the stairs in front of Juin.

Juin smirked. "Power is fun…"

He then thought of something and looked at Lucifer. "Your Majesty…"

"What?" Lucifer asked without looking back.

What he did not know was that Juin had stopped walking when he called him earlier. When Lucifer turned back upon hearing no sound, he saw Juin standing at the top of the stairs with a complicated expression.

Mustering his courage, Juin looked Lucifer in the eye and asked, "Did you take the book and the sword?"
