Juin quickly flipped through the book he was currently reading, but there was nothing on vampires. So, he took a second book. When he was about to start flipping through the entire book, he realized that it would be easier to just read the index, so he flipped to the index page and read through the list.

"Ah ha!" Juin pointed to the word "vampire" before quickly flipping to the corresponding page.

"Vampire is a creature from folklore that subsists by feeding on the vital essence of the living…" Juin slowly read out the words on the page as he flipped through it. He had already known about most of the things he read, such as "sucking blood", causing "mischief", and afraid of sunlight.

When he was done reading, he looked up at Lucifer and asked, "Why do you want to read about vampires?"

Lucifer frowned. He looked at the words "feeding on the vital essence of the living" and felt uneasy. "The vampires that your people know, and the vampires that my people know are similar… Both of them had to feed off the living…"

Lucifer pointed at the drawing of a vampire and said, "But whereas your vampires feed on blood, the vampires of my world feed on strength and soul power…"

"What?"

Lucifer stared at the picture of the vampire in the book and explained, "The vampires in the Nightmare Rift are extremely strong, despite their smaller number. And the reason being that not only can they use magic, but they can also take someone's magic away from them and incorporate it into their own strength."

"How…"

Lucifer made a biting motion and a sucking motion, which made Juin touch his neck subconsciously.

"What…" Juin gasped softly. "Won't that make them invincible?"

"Almost…" Lucifer said with a serious tone. "You can imagine just how much they are hated by the beings of the Nightmare Rift. And at one point, the monarchs of a few kingdoms, Alercane included, banded together and started a hunt for the vampires.

"But before they could completely get rid of the vampires, a few of them escaped from the Nightmare Rift… After that, the monarchs worked together for one last time and created a spell that would prevent the vampires from ever returning to the Nightmare Rift."

Juin listened carefully as Lucifer rattled on about the history of the Nightmare Rift and the vampires. He was surprised to know that not only were the vampires a scary undead on Earth, but it was also a scary undead on the Nightmare Rift, where demons and other supernatural creatures lived on.

"And you think that President Presley is one?" Juin asked suddenly, recalling how they got to this point.

Lucifer hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Despite being the president of the Order, which is supposedly one of the biggest in the country, he has no scent, no aura, nothing that indicates his strength, or lack of… That's too suspicious."

"If he's a vampire from the Nightmare Rift, then… not really. At least, there's a possibility that he wouldn't kill his victims since it's their soul powers that he would want to take," Lucifer deduced.

The vampires from the Nightmare Rift only took the soul powers, yet for the majority of the Nightmare Rift's inhabitants, their soul powers were their everything, so having them taken away was equivalent to taking their lives away.

But a supernatural human might not have the same thinking. They might even be glad to be rid of their powers so that they could continue living a normal life on Earth. A vampire could suck all of their soul powers away, and they could continue living, just with a shorter lifespan… which was normal for an Earth human.

Lucifer then continued, "Besides, most of the supernatural humans don't have the strength that a vampire would want… If anything, he's probably using the Order as a front for him to look for strong supernatural humans or more pureblooded supernatural creatures. I doubt most of the Order know about his true identity..."

As he listened to Lucifer talk, Juin slowly turned paler and paler, and after a moment of hesitation, he mumbled, "And he has his eyes on me…"

Lucifer glanced at Juin and nodded.

"He doesn't know your true strength yet," Lucifer said nonchalantly, "so that's good…"

Yet it bugged him that the president of a huge supernatural group would come and invite a weak boy himself. Did he miss something? Did Presley know something about Juin? Lucifer could not help but feel that there was something amiss.

"But…" Juin frowned and suddenly said, "I can't hide forever. I don't have full control of him yet… What if he came out and Presley saw it? Do you think we should talk to Warlock about this?"

Lucifer knew that "him" was the demon soul within Juin, the sleeping one.

"I don't think Warlock would tell us anything…" Lucifer mumbled to himself as he crossed and uncrossed his legs before crossing them again in midair. He knew that Warlock wanted Juin to figure things out by himself, with possibly a little help from adults that Warlock placed around him to ensure that Juin did not accidentally kill himself.

For Lucifer, the easiest thing was to just tell Juin whatever lie they wanted him to believe. Lucifer wanted to Juin to avoid self-fulfilling the doomed prophecy, so they could have just told him that he was the savior, so why went through all these hoops just to keep something like this from him?

"Hey, Your Majesty…"

Lucifer looked down at Juin and asked, "What?"

"What if Presley didn't come for me… but for the book and the sword?" Juin asked in a soft voice. The were-idiots told him that people were tracking him down because they believed he had the items… and technically, he had them. "Would you--"

"Don't even think about it!" Lucifer snapped, knowing that Juin was going to ask if he would give up the book and the sword. When he saw Juin's disappointed expression, Lucifer wanted to ignore him, yet he felt bad… which annoyed him as well.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, Lucifer then added in a much softer tone, "It's going to be worse if he got his hands on the book and the sword…"

"Why?" Juin asked curiously, wanting to know more about the book and the sword that got him into so much trouble.
