A loud resounding noise could be heard from miles away when the bird crashed into the ground, headfirst.
The little boy, Zheng, laughed out madly as he jumped onto the humongous bird's back and started punching its back in, making a loud cracking sound with every punch.
"Shriek!!!" the bird cried as it tried to shake the boy away but to no avail.
"It's fun to be at the receiving end, no?" Zheng yelled as he continued to punch. Even though he had the body of a 6-year-old boy, each and every one of his punch was packed full of strength that could even dent the most solid metal.
Confused from having its head bashed by the little boy and coupled with the wound that was inflicted upon its abdomen earlier, the bird had no power to resist at all and could only take the punches silently as it looked at its owner with pleading eyes.
"Lei!" Taka yelled out in worry as he raised a fist that was surrounded by nimble bolts of lightning. "Get off him!!!"
He punched the ground, upon which a brilliant, dazzling golden light appeared in the otherwise white dimension. From his fist, a snake of lightning was formed, moving toward the bird and the little boy in a zig-zag. As a creature with the power to control electricity, Taka knew that his bird would not be harmed, and it would only act as a conduit that could amplify his power.
Thus, he was going to take this chance to teach the little boy a lesson that apparently no one had taught him before.
The little boy was too busy punching the defenseless bird to notice the lightning snake that was moving toward him, but someone else did.
Just as the lightning snake was 50 meters away from the bird and Zheng, a ball of red flames was thrown at its head. And when the ball of flames connected with the head of the lightning snake, it quickly burned and moved past its body, toward its real target--Taka!
Sparks were ignited as the flames moved along the lightning snake body.
Upon noticing the true target of the flames, Taka quickly cut off the tail of the lightning snake, which was connected to his fist that was still on the ground. With that, the flames extinguished upon reaching the cut tail.
When he looked up, Taka saw Juin, who had moved nearer to between him and his spirit beast.
"How…" Taka was sure that Juin was still miles away earlier. How did he move so fast?! What kind of demon was in Juin's body?!
Placing his palms together with his Hossu placed between his thumbs and index fingers, Taka quickly made up a few hand seals, before sending a few bolts of electricity toward Juin.
A shield appeared in between him and the returning bolts of electricity.

A series of "bams" could be heard as the electric bolts hit the shield one after the other. And when the last of the bolt hit the shield, Lucifer could hear a soft cracking sound.
"Oh oh…" Lucifer gasped and his eyes widened as a fist that was hidden behind the electric bolts appeared. That was when he saw Taka, who had transformed himself into electricity and hidden at the last electric bolt.
CRACK!!!!
The shield cracked, and Taka's fist lightly connected with "Juin"'s face.
Yet the light punch still sent "Juin" flying in midair.
"F*ck!" Both Lucifer and Juin, who was watching everything in his Soul Dimension, cursed.
Lucifer quickly righted himself in midair and stopped himself. He then roughly wiped the blood off the corners of his lips as he glared at Taka.
"I can see why he warned us of you…" he said with a sneer. Compared to when he was fighting Luca Rockefeller, he could tell that Taka had more combat experience, thus making him a more dangerous opponent.
But it did not matter. After all, Lucifer had war-style combat experience!
Lucifer laughed as red flames started to appear all over him, covering his entire body as if he were being burned. "Interesting! It works!" he snapped as the red flames burned even harder, before pulling away from his body and transforming into a giant lion.
Each and every part of the lion was made from flames; from its dancing, flaming mane to its tail.
On the lion's back, two huge black burning demon wings appeared, bringing with it an intense feeling of darkness.
"ROAARRRRR!!!"
The roar was so deafening that it attracted the attention of the little boy and the poor bird. The little boy even jumped off the bird and moved closer to the fiery lion. To him, the fiery lion was more attractive than the bird, and he could feel an immense power coming from the lion.
Watching the giant flaming lion crouching at the feet of "Juin", Taka's eyes widened in shock. "That's not a spirit beast…" he gasped in fear as his body shivered slightly.
An exciting voice appeared in Taka's mind at the moment as the butterfly that was spectating everything flew above all of them. "That's a Soul Beast!!!"
Both Soul Beast and Spirit Beast used the same form of energy; their owner's soul power. The only difference was that Spirit Beast was a real beast that was tamed and had its spirit torn from its physical body before being merged with the body of another being, thus allowing the other being to gain the power of the Spirit Beast.
A Soul Beast, however, as its name implied, was a beast born from the soul. It was a beast that was part of the being, and unlike a Spirit Beast, there was no possibility of a mutiny or true death… not unless that owner was dead.
And anyone who could control a Soul Beast was someone extremely valuable.
"I change my mind! Capture the kid alive!" the voice said again. "No matter what, I want him back in my office!"
