Juin watched, agape. "Did that butterfly just come out of Taka's skin?" he muttered to himself before quickly shaking his head. Things were getting weirder, but he had no time to overthink about this matter at the moment.

"Kid, create a protective shield. Things are about to get fun here," said Zheng, the mysterious boy, as he cracked his knuckles; his mischievous-looking yellow eyes glowed slightly at the same moment. He then said in an arrogant manner, "You, the papa kid, fight me! Let me see if those spirit beasts you own…"

Taka looked at Juin for a second before looking at Zheng, and he quickly got into a defensive position. He then mumbled something under his breath, upon which one of the praying beads that he wore as a bracelet glowed in a golden light.

Juin watched with his jaw almost reaching the floor, as the image of a magnificent yellow bird covered in electricity flew out of the bead. It was translucent when it first appeared, and only as small as the bead, but within seconds, it grew bigger and bigger, to almost 10 ft tall with a 20 ft wingspan, and its body became more and more solid until it became a "real" bird that was flying behind Taka.

Its four wings flapped about, creating heavy gusts of wind that were tinted with small amount of electricity. Even its eyes seemed to have bolts of electricity that danced crazily within its pupils as it flew in circles.

At the same time, from the moment the bird appeared, Taka's body seemed to be covered in electricity at the moment, as small bolts of electricity moved across his body, like snakes that were about to attack.

"What the…" Juin muttered in disbelief as he felt Taka's strength rapidly increased.

"That's a spirit beast… A Thunderbird," Lucifer muttered as he watched. "When I heard that some humans from other dimensions have learned the method to control mythological beasts, I thought it was a joke"

Unlike those two, the little boy merely stared at Taka with disdain in his eyes. A heavy gust of wind caused by the bird's flapping wings caused the boy's blonde hair to move wildly. "Weak humans… To get power, you did that to such a beautiful creature…"

Without warning, the little boy suddenly disappeared and appeared in front of Taka with his little fist raised. Taka, who was used to battle, immediately crossed his electricity-charged hands in front of his face, taking the fist head-on.

BAM!!!

Taka was thrown back a few miles. Thankfully, the bird acted as his cushion, absorbing most of the impact, and stopped him in midair.

When he stood back on his feet, Taka sneered and clasped his hands together before pulling them apart again. And when he did so, a golden Hossu appeared. With the golden Hossu at hand, Taka looked exactly like a young Taoist.

"A Hossu?" the little boy sneered as he disappeared from where he was standing at again.

When the little boy appeared again, the Thunderbird managed to block him before he could reach Taka. As the little boy's fist connected with the bird's body, a bright spark of golden yellow light almost blinded all of them.

"Argh!" Juin quickly covered his eyes. When he opened them, he could vaguely see that Taka was moving his weapon around quickly.

In fact, Taka, who had managed to close his eyes on time, had recovered within a few seconds from the burst of light. He then quickly drew a diagram out in midair with the golden Hossu. When he was done, the diagram that was comprised of old Chinese characters glowed in bright golden yellow.

Taka raised his right hand, upon which the diagram moved with it. He aimed it at where the little boy and his spirit beast was fighting at.

"Electric Bombs!!!" Taka snapped before cutting the diagram in midair with the golden Hossu.

The moment the diagram was cut, a series of round lightning balls revolved around the Thunderbird and the little boy, trapping them within.

"Trying to trap me?" the little boy scoffed and jumped up. However, he was soon slammed back into the ground by the huge bird and was pinned under the ground. The lightning balls then started to bombard the little boy's body one by one.

"Urgh!!!" the little boy screamed as he was assaulted by the lightning balls. He could not focus his strength in his arms. Every time he tried to move the bird's foot away from his chest, he was hit with unbearable pain.

His

His yellow eyes soon turned orange-red as tails started to appear behind him.

"ARGH!!!"

The scream caught Taka's attention, and he looked up only to see Juin dashing toward the little boy, completely ignoring his own safety.

"NO!" Taka yelled, as he was sure that Juin would not survive the attack. However, he was too late.

Juin had jumped into the rain of lightning balls, and using Nightfall, the dagger that Warlock gave him and which he took from his backpack when no one was paying attention to him, he slashed at the huge bird that was pining the little boy down.

"SHRIEKKK!!!" the bird shrieked loudly in pain before slamming Juin across the dimension with a wave of its right wing.

Juin flew across the empty dimension in midair for a few miles before falling on the ground, rolling a few times before coming to a stop.

"URGH!" He vomited a mouthful of blood as he clutched his chest weakly. It was as if all his organs had been misplaced as he felt an excruciating pain roaring within him. In addition, his shirt, where the bird's wing had connected with, was now completely charred by the electricity on the bird's wing… Even his skin was charred by the electric shock that he received from the bird's wing.

"Pain…" Juin groaned as he tried to fight back the tears.

He then looked over at the bird, feeling slightly relieved when he saw the bird flying in midair with a hateful glance aiming toward him.

When he attacked the bird, he managed to get the boy a chance to escape.

Juin did not know why he did it, but when he heard the little boy's painful screams, he thought of Wesley, and his body just moved on its own.

"You idiot!" Taka yelled, "You could've died!"

An angry voice appeared in Taka's mind. "Taka, you're the idiot!"

When Taka heard it, he looked at his spirit beast. Juin's dagger had cut the bird's abdomen. By right, as a spirit beast, it should have healed… but it did not. The bird looked at its wound before looking at Taka, wondering what was going on at the moment.

"What did you do?" Taka mumbled in disbelief when he felt his spirit beast's lifespan getting weaker.

Unable to take the pain anymore but refuse to concede, Juin mumbled, "Merge…"

Lucifer merged with Juin, but instead of attacking, he merely stood there quietly, conserving energy while sharing the pain with Juin.

There was no need for him to attack.

The little boy was already up… and he was furious.

Five tails moved angrily in the air behind the little boy as he glared at the Thunderbird.

"I don't like to be pinned down!!!" the little boy yelled as he jumped high in the air, even higher than the bird that was in midair. And he then headbutted the stunned bird in the head, slamming the magnificent bird down into the ground.
