Mika shook her head. "According to the men we posted around the hospital, not yet… "

They had wanted to send someone to grab Juin from the hospital, but when the men they sent got near the hospital, they felt a strong pressure, almost as if they were being watched by an unknown powerful being that threatened to devour them if they so much as moved inappropriately.

And what was weirder was that the moment some of them stepped into the hospital, the men completely forgot about the reason why they were there, only to remember after they long left the place.

As such, the Nakamura siblings could only keep an eye on Juin from far away for now.

"He has to return to his house sooner or later…" Taka said as he sat down next to his sister.

"The person or group protecting him would be there as well…" Mika pointed out.

"But whoever that is, he or she can't possibly protect him forever… And Juin has to go to the school sooner or later… Once he's at school, that's the time you can act."

"Me?" Mika pointed to herself.

Taka nodded. "Honey trap. Advanced version."

He pulled the sleeve of his sweat-soaked shirt down slightly and batted his eyelashes as he asked, "Understand what I'm saying?"

Upon hearing him, Mika rolled her eyes and scoffed, "After what you and Dad did to him, do you think that will work?"

"He knows about your fate… Use that to your advantage… Say things like you don't know about Dad's plan and that you are powerless against him…" Taka grinned as he pulled his shirt up. He then said, "Men are stupid, and they always fall for stuff like that… And for a guy like him, who has been ignored by girls most of the time, it will be even easier to convince him to forgive you…"

He then looked at her with a serious expression and said, "I know that you aren't that kind of person, but we need those Portal Stabilizers, Mika. For you, this is a war against time. Previously, we have no choice but to look for other ways. But now, with the Portal Stabilizers, we can travel straight to Chronos and find Xeel'guth's descendants and renegotiate the terms with them…"

Placing a hand on her shoulder, he added, "Think about it, all you have to do is to get him to join the Nakamura family… Even if you can't, just make him believe that you have no power in the family and that you really like him… Then make him fall for you so that we can use him in the future, even if he's in another group."

Mika gulped as she listened to her brother's advice. She was unsure about that since she was certain that their father would never give them the Portal Stabilizers willingly. But in the end, she still nodded reluctantly.

After tossing and turning around, painfully, he forced himself to get up and walked to the window. Since he was still exhausted, he had to hold onto things to stop his weak legs from crumbling under him.

He did not know how long he stared out of the window, holding onto nothing but the side of the window, but he soon saw a pair of red eyes staring back at him from the darkness.

There was nothing else, just the pair of red eyes.

Even so, Juin did not seem to notice the lack of a body as he continued to stare into the eyes.

Those eyes were so red and bright that it reminded him of Lucifer's eyes…

However, instead of being afraid of them, Juin felt a strange pull toward it, like he had known that pair of eyes for years… Years that were even longer than what he could even remember… Perhaps even tens of thousands of years...

Subconsciously, Juin's hand reached up and he pushed open the window slightly. And in a few seconds' time, his nose was assaulted by a heavy stench of blood that came out of nowhere…

PAP!

Juin jumped up slightly and turned around, only to see Mr. Thompson standing beside him with a stern expression and a hand on the window handle, where he had pulled the window shut and locked it.

"It's cold out there…" Mr. Thompson said with a frown, "And you're not fit enough to be walking about."

At this moment, a loud howling from the outside caught their attention, and they both turned to look out the window at the same time. However, they could not see anything out of the ordinary in the lit street.

Although, they did see a few stray dogs gathering at the front of the hospital.

"Probably a wild dog," Mr. Thompson said before helping Juin back to his bed.

"Not a dog…" A young voice suddenly said.

Mr. Thompson and Juin looked at Cyrus, who was sitting at the couch with a blanket covering half of him.

One of the boy's hands was grabbing onto the blanket tightly while a frown appeared on his face. Cyrus looked out the window as his yellow eyes glowed slightly in the dark, and at that moment, another bone-chilling howl could be heard again.

"What is it?" Mr. Thompson asked with a serious expression.

"Warning call…" Cyrus said with a dark expression. He took a sniff in the air and said solemnly, "There's an odd smell… Blood… and something that I don't recognize. And lots of weird scents that are getting softer and softer..."

Mr. Thompson frowned upon hearing him. He quickly helped Juin onto the bed before asking Cyrus, "Should we move?"

To his relief, Cyrus shook his head and said, "The warning is not for us… It's to warn those coming into this place. At least… That's what I think it is..."
