"But he didn't seem like much," Welshon thought as he looked at the dagger-wielding teenager in front of him. Thin, short, and looked as if a gust of wind could easily topple him, Juin really did not possess a threat in him.

"Still… To be able to defeat Luca Rockefeller and Taka Nakamura, there must be something about him…" Welshon thought to himself with a serious expression.

He glanced at the body of the dog-headed creature and thought, "At the very least, he has the power to attack one's soul… And that dagger of his… That would make a good addition to our weaponry."

Welshon could not tear his gaze away from the flaming dagger. Whether it was the artistic work or the aura exuded by the dagger, everything told him that this dagger was at least an A-rank item. How did a human orphan boy like him get his hands on something as valuable as this dagger?

He wondered if the rumors were true, that Juin had stolen the Book of the Daemon and the Sword of the Daemon King. It was said that the book had plenty of spells in them and ways to summon ancient and powerful demons from the multiple dimensions that were scattered around the universe. If true, Welshon wondered if Juin summoned a demon using the book and that the demon helped him get the dagger…

His eyes narrowed with greed as he raised them and met Juin's eyes. "To answer your question, a negative answer would be somewhat unfortunate for you and your little partner there."

Juin gulped. He looked at each and every one of the ferocious looking creatures in front of him, and his fingers tightened around the dagger to the point that his knuckles had turned white. Truth be told, he had no confidence in fighting against them, not without merging with Lucifer.

Even then, with the numbers of creatures present, he was also worried that his body might be unable to last that long during the merge. There was no telling if more enemies might come, so he could not risk getting incapacitated now.

"Stupid Juin, you aren't that strong yet," he scolded himself in his heart as he placed his hand around his ribcage. He was almost fully healed by now, but he could still feel a slight pain from moving too fast just now. "Wesley is here with you. Don't play with his life…"

With a sigh, he then made a show of "giving up". He then smiled at Welshon and said with a defeating tone, "Alright, I'll join you."

"What?" Lucifer gasped and raised a brow at Juin. That was all it took to make him change stance?

"Just leave us alone, and I'll join you guys," Juin said with a smile, ignoring Lucifer for now. "I don't want any trouble."

Welshon's eyes widened slightly upon hearing his answer. "That was… easy?" he thought as he stared at Juin unbelievably. Was this really the guy who fought with Taka Nakamura because he did not want to join the Nakamura Family?

Welshon quickly became alert and signaled one of his men to block Juin's path. When Juin turned to look at him, Welshon scoffed, "Do you think I'd fall for your simple human trick?"

He pulled a contract out of thin air and floated it between him and Juin. "Sign it with your soul power and I'll let you go."

Juin frowned. He had yet to sign the contract with the Order yet. If he were to sign this one now, he would be bound by it.

"Why aren't you moving?" the creature that blocked Juin's path sneered. "We'll treat you nicely once you are one of us."

Juin glanced back at him and put his body in between the creature and Wesley. He then looked at Welshon and said with a wry smile, "I can't sign this now. We must negotiate the terms of the contract first. After all, negotiation is the first rule of contract."

Welshon smiled back at Juin. "You're delaying… Let me guess… Are you trying to call Presley?"

Juin frowned. He was indeed trying to call Presley using the calling card. However, unlike before, it seemed to have taken Presley a long time to respond.

"See, our Dark Night Clan has a technique that can interrupt the effectiveness of the items such as the Order's calling cards. As long as you're in our alternate dimension, you won't be able to contact someone from outside, and even if you can, they won't be able to pinpoint your exact location. So… Maybe you should take a look at the card that you kept in your pocket," Welshon said as he paced around slowly.

Juin took out the calling card, and he saw that, despite having infused his soul power into the card, there was nothing going on with it. It was as if the card were just a normal namecard.

"What the…" Juin gulped. Welshon was telling the truth. The calling card had been rendered ineffective by their ward.

"So, the contract…" Welshon waved his hand nonchalantly and the contract flew to the front of Juin. "Sign it, and the both of you can leave. If you don't, then the two of you will be leaving here as dead men."

Juin's body trembled, mostly out of anger. "Fine… If I have to take the risk…" He glanced at Lucifer, and his mouth opened slightly.

However, before he could say the word, he saw the change in Welshon's facial expression.

The man suddenly looked up at the sky, and Juin did the same.

At multiple points in the sky, lines of light appeared before pulled apart, until they were big enough for adult humans to pass through.

"F*ck! Prepare yourself!" Welshon suddenly yelled as he got onto an offensive position.

And the moment he did, humans, or humanoid creatures, who were fully dressed in black, jumped out from the holes that had just been torn into the warded sky.
