"You!" Welshon growled at Mika as he threw the body of a Nakamura man away. "You're that accursed daughter…"
Mika narrowed her eyes at him as she flexed her whip, sending a purple electric bolt toward Welshon. Seemingly alive, the electric bolt dodged those who were standing between her and Welshon, until it was heading straight toward the Dark Night Clan leader. ;
With a hand that had black symbols circling it, Welshon caught the purple electric bolt by dodging to the side at the last second. Once he caught the purple electric bolt, he did not stop its movement. Instead, he turned around, using the original momentum of the purple bolt and coupling with his own strength, he launched it back to Mika after infusing his own soul power in it. ;
Unlike Mika's attack, Welshon's counterattack was far crueler as the purple bolt that was tinted with dark electric arcs did not care about friends or foe, cutting through the bodies of both the Dark Night Clan members and the Nakamura people, until those in between them quickly came into a short truce by jumping to the side to avoid the attack. ;
Mika sneered, and she conjured up a shield that was made of electricity in front of her. The shield was dazzling as it glowed in purple electric arcs that sometimes escaped and hit the ground, leaving burned marks on it. ;
However, while the shield managed to block the purple bolt, it was unable to stop the heavy force that pushed her back a few meters away. ;
"Insolent…" Welshon scoffed as he launched himself at Mika. ;
However, an intense aura suddenly stopped him from moving… That and another portal that was now cut in between him and Mika. ;
Welshon stopped at his tracks and stared at the new portal. The aura was already suffocating him even though the person wielding it hadn't entered into the dimension yet. ;
Sensing a future where his life might be forfeited, Welshon decided to retreat for now. He jumped back, landing a few meters back from where he was. ;
"This is not over, missy…" he warned as he gave a death glare at Mika. He then yelled, "Retreat!!!" ;
His group immediately used their strongest attacks against their opponents, and once their opponents either stepped back slightly or sent backward, they quickly used their talismans and escaped from the dimension at the same time. ;
The moment they left, a man walked out of the new portal. It was someone whom Mika and Juin had not seen for some time, and they were quite surprised to see him here. ;
"Ah…" Looking around at the wounded members of the Nakamura Family and the dead bodies, the man sighed and said, "The game is over already?" ;
Mika looked at the man in surprise. "Mr. Warlock? What are you doing here?" ;
"I was having a meal nearby when I sensed a fight…" ;
"And I came over immediately, hoping that my dearest students weren't involved in anything bad…" Warlock interrupted her. He then looked at her with a frown, "Now, Mika Nakamura, were you fighting with Juin?"
"What?" Mika felt offended by his accusation. "I saved him!"
Warlock glanced at Juin, who was bleeding and on the ground, and said dryly, "You look bad…"
"You think?" Juin sighed, finally relaxed now that Warlock was here. Even though Mika saved him, but given their last encounter, he was unwilling to believe that she was here for him. So, he was unable to relax earlier, and could only truly relax when he saw Warlock. ;
Looking at the trembling Wesley, who was crouching at one corner, Warlock sighed. "Civilian… This is problematic..." ;
With a wave of his hand, he broke the dimension, and everything returned to normal, except for the blood on the ground. He then mumbled something under his breath, upon which his blue right eye glowed slightly.
Roar!!!
The thunderstorm took everyone by surprise, and they looked up, only to be met with a downpour. ;
Warlock then looked at Mika's people and said, "Well, you guys should go home soon… Bring the dead with you and get rid of any body parts. It would be a hassle if someone found them tomorrow. I'll bring my dear students to the hospital."
Those from the Nakamura family looked at Mika, and once they saw her nod, they bowed respectfully before picking up their dead comrades and the members of the Dark Night Clan. ;
Once they left, Warlock walked over to Juin, and after casting a spell to help with the blood loss, he helped the teenage boy up. He also gave a brief glance to Lucifer, but did not mention anything since Wesley and Mika were here.
Upon standing up, Juin held onto Warlock for support, placing his left arm around Warlock's waist when he felt like falling down. "What…" His eyes widened when he felt something was wrong, and he quickly moved his hand up to Warlock's left arm. ;
"Now, I might be a dashing man, but I have no interest in young boys… Especially a scrawny one like you," Warlock said with a chuckle. ;
However, Juin had no mood to entertain his joke nor point out the wrong impression of what he had just said. Instead, he looked up at Warlock and asked worriedly, "Where's your left arm?!" ;
When he touched Warlock's left side, he noticed that Warlock's left sleeve was empty, and his suspicion was proven when he reached up and touched a stump where Warlock's left arm was supposed to be. ;
Hearing Juin's question, Warlock glanced at him with a pained expression, and after a while, he shrugged. "It grew wings and flew off…"
"Mr. Warlock!" Juin snapped in exasperation, and he quickly regretted his action when the pain in his chest caused him to bowl over slightly. Grabbing onto Warlock's coat, he asked with a worried expression, albeit in a softer voice, "What happened to you?"
"Occupational hazard… Let's go," Warlock said in a terse tone, indicating from his tone that he was no longer interested in continuing with the conversation. When he walked past Mika, he said, "Bring that boy with you…" ;
His tone was obvious. Mika was not allowed to say no, so she quickly took a glance at Wesley before nodding. "Yes, Mr. Warlock."
