When Juin got down to the front door, he was surprised to see Luca Rockefeller standing by the gate and talking with Mrs. Martin. He immediately walked over with Wesley, as well as a very upset Cyrus, and greeted the teenager gruffly, "What are you doing here?"

"Uncle Presley is busy. He has to attend to the parents of one of the kids," Luca said with a deadpan expression, as if he had just mentioned what he ate for breakfast.

Mrs. Martin shook her head with a sigh and said, "It appears that one of the kids who were killed is the child of a family friend of Mr. Presley. Did you know about it, Juin?"

Juin shook his head. "Who… was it?"

At the same time, he was wondering about something else. President Presley knew that he and Luca Rockefeller were in bad terms with each other, so why did he send the teenage Elementalist over?

"Could he not find someone less murderous to pick us up?" Juin thought in his mind.

"Jon Smith," Luca replied impatiently to Juin's earlier question. He knew Jon Smith, but only briefly, so he wasn't affected by the teen's death. He was just impatient at being ordered to pick up the guy who beat him up.

"Jon Smith…" Juin mumbled, but after some thinking, he still had no recollection of that name, so he merely shrugged and said, "I'm sorry to hear that."

However, a frown remained on his face because his suspicion was correct. This was a retaliation. He just needed one more confirmation. "Do you know about the identities of the other two kids?"

Luca looked at Juin, and after a while, he nodded. "Two boys from a branch of the Nakamura family…"

His answers confirmed it for Juin, that the murders were part of a retaliation. "From the Dark Night Clan…?" Juin thought to himself as he clenched his fists. His eyes narrowed when a name that he just heard recently popped up in his mind. "Welshon…"

The last thing that Welshon said to them was a threat directed toward Mika Nakamura. It made Juin wonder if that was the reason why two of the Nakamura kids were killed, and only one from the Order.

This was basically a declaration of war.

"Nakamura?" Mrs. Martin gasped when she heard the surname from Luca. She immediately looked at Juin with a worried expression. "You are friends with one of them, no?"

Snapping out of his thoughts, Juin nodded slowly. "My friend is fine…"

"Then you better send your condolences to her. Even if the poor kids were from a branch family, your friend probably knew them…" Mrs. Martin sighed as she shook her head slowly. "Three young lives were gone just like that… Their parents must have been devastated."

Juin nodded, but he wondered if he would actually do that. He hadn't even sent a message to Mika Nakamura ever since she saved him from the Dark Night Clan.

"Let's go… We have a schedule to follow…" Luca Rockefeller said. He then turned to Mrs. Martin and put on a charming smile as he added, "Nice meeting you, Mrs. Martin. Don't worry, I'll take good care of Juin and Cyrus. VERY good care..."

Juin shivered slightly from the fake smile that Luca Rockefeller had on before giving his and Cyrus' bags to the driver. After making a mental note to always stay alert around Luca, he then looked at Wesley and said, "Remember what I told you?"

Wesley nodded as he touched the leather bracelet on his hand, feeling the braids pattern on it as well as the metal magnetic clasps.

Suddenly, he ran into Juin and hugged him tightly. "I'll miss you," he mumbled into Juin's c.h.e.s.t. "Remember your promise!"

Hugging the younger boy back, Juin smiled and nodded as he whispered, "I will…"

Once they let go of each other, Juin went to hug Mrs. Martin. "I'll come back and visit whenever I can, Mrs. Martin. Until then, please take good care of yourself."

With tears in her eyes, Mrs. Martin nodded. She lightly patted his back as she muttered, "You too, kid. Take good care of yourself there. If your adopted father mistreats you or Cyrus, let me know immediately, and I will go and beat him up."

Unknown to her, Luca, who was standing behind her, rolled his eyes when he heard her words. He was thinking to himself, "Hit Presley? He could kill you from miles away, woman…"

Shaking his head at the woman's silliness, he then said with a bored tone, "Alright, it's time to go…"

Without waiting for their answers, he got into the front seat of the BMW first, clearly indicating to everyone that they were out of time.

Meanwhile, Juin released Mrs. Martin so that Cyrus could say his goodbye as well.

"You be good, alright, Cyrus? Don't get into too many mischiefs…" Mrs. Martin smiled as she hugged the little beast.

"No promises…" Cyrus mumbled sadly. He had no way of seeing his family again, and probably not even someone from his race, and just as he had bonded with this middle-aged woman and grown fond of her, he had to leave, so obviously, his emotions were a little unstable at the moment. "I'll come back soon…"

"Bye bye…" Cyrus stuck his face to the window as he waved at Mrs. Martin and Wesley, as well as the other teenagers who were watching them departing from the second-floor windows.

Once everyone was out of sight, Cyrus sat back down and pouted.

After a long while, Luca Rockefeller said suddenly, "I hate the idea that I have to be in the same group as you…"

"Likewise…" Juin said, loud and clear.

"I heard that the kid is a little beast that you luckily found. It must be nice to be you, having things go your way all the time. First, a strong demon. Then, a weapon. And now, a little beast… How. F*cking. Nice."

Instead of backing down, Juin scoffed, "Jealous? Go get yourself possessed then."

Their snarky words caused Cyrus to pay attention to them and temporarily forget about his sadness over the sudden separation. The little beast looked at Juin and Luca Rockefeller curiously, wondering what was going on here.

"Did you guys get into a fight?" Cyrus asked inquisitively, even leaning closer to Juin.

"Yeah, and I won even though I didn't know how to fight at that time," Juin said, looking at Cyrus with a smile, upon which Cyrus smirked proudly.

However, Luca was displeased when he was reminded of his unexpected defeat. He glared at Juin through the rearview mirror and hissed, "I went easy on you the other day. If I used my whole strength, you'd have been dead by now."

"You went easy on me?" Juin rolled his eyes and sneered, "I think you are speaking on behalf of me, right? You should count yourself lucky that I was feeling merciful that day."

"Just wait… When we are at a place without any restrictions, I'll show you who's the stronger one…" Luca gritted through his teeth, praying for the day that he could kick Juin's a*s to come sooner.

"You aren't the only one who has been getting stronger…" Juin replied, narrowing his eyes at the teenage boy in front. "If you think I'm easily bullied, think again, or you'll make the same mistake as Taka Nakamura..."

They both glared at each other with the help of the rearview mirror while Cyrus secretly cheered Juin on. The little beast had never seen Juin speak in such manner before. All of a sudden, he felt that maybe being bonded with Juin wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Since Presley had always traveled around using portals, it made most people think that he lived in the same town as them.

Truth was, Presley lived far, far away. In fact, he lived close to Canada, somewhere within the forest area of the border between the States and Canda.

And Juin only knew this when he saw, after about an hour of driving, that they arrived at a hotel. At first, Juin and Cyrus thought that the hotel would be their new home, until they arrived at the helipad of the hotel, where a black helicopter was patiently waiting for them.

They had to take a 2-hour flight, upon which, Juin had to constantly hold onto Cyrus because the latter was too scared and had turned completely pale from fear. When they landed, it took them another hour of driving before they arrived in front of a mansion.

"Didn't you ride Taka's bird the other day? Why aren't you scared then?" Juin said in a low voice as they waited for someone to open the door, occasionally shooting dirty glances at Luca.

"That's different," Cyrus pouted. "I wasn't locked in a metal box!"

"That's called a helicopter… And I'm pretty sure it's a lot safer than riding a bird…" Juin pointed out. At least there was less risk of being thrown off a helicopter.

"No, it's not!"

Juin sighed and decided not to press the matter further. He could somewhat understand Cyrus' fear. After all, Cyrus was a terrestrial beast from a world that had no modern technology, so it was only natural for him to be afraid of something like a flying "metal box".

"Oh, someone's here…" Cyrus remarked and looked at the huge front door as his left ear wriggled slightly.
