"A dragon as a spirit beast?!" Lucifer roared so loudly that Juin could not stop himself from wincing. "This b*stard!!! Merge with me, Juin! I'm going to kill him!"

As dragons were rare in the Nightmare Rift and were considered sacrosanct, they were often treated with respect. No one in their right mind would dare to treat a dragon with such disrespect as to turn them into a spirit beast.

"No…" Juin said since he doubted he could win against Tucker. The man easily got rid of his Phoenix Arrow. Even though Juin had never used it before, he knew that his Phoenix Arrow was not something trivial, so the fact that Tucker could easily get rid of it actually meant something.

Even so, he was not really happy about seeing such a majestic creature being turned into a spirit beast. He looked at Tucker and asked in a cold voice, "You turned a dragon into a spirit beast? Why would you do something like that?"

"Eh, not me" Tucker shrugged, and there was a look of disgust on his face as he defended, "This jerk was already a spirit beast when I found him…"

He then jumped up into midair before he was hit by another tailwhip. With a smirk, he moved to Juin before standing in front of his new student.

Tucker then took out a necklace that was previously kept hidden underneath his shirt. On the necklace, there was a silver coin-like pendant with multiple engravings on them, and these engravings seemed to be moving around the pendant, as if each and every one of them was alive.

"This is an artifact from ancient Egypt…" Tucker explained. "I found it by chance during an expedition in Egypt over 20 years ago. You can imagine my surprise when I found this guy hiding in it."

He might have not obtained the artifact legally, but that was not something that he would tell his student at the moment.

Juin looked at the dragon, which seemed to be quite chill and was now swinging its tail around while Cyrus chased it, and decided to let the matter go. The dragon seemed happy as it played around with Cyrus.

"I didn't know that spirit beast can be passed around…" Juin said while watching the two.

"There are methods for everything," Tucker said as he inched closer to Juin. "But whether or not the spirit beast can be compatible with the new owner is a different matter. If they are not compatible, the new owner will receive a backlash from trying to form a bond with a higher creature."

"Anyway," Tucker waved a hand nonchalantly as he said, "that's a nice skill that you have there. Who taught you the spell?"

Juin thought for a moment before saying, "I learned from a friend."

"A friend?" Tucker raised a brow. "Like the little friend that possessed your body?"

Juin blushed slightly and nodded.

"Well, when I heard about you, I was surprised… It's not that often that a possessed person could still have full control over their body. And there's definitely no rot on you, so that means that it's a proper possession, and you're not rejecting it, so that means that your soul and the demon's soul are compatible and probably of equal strength." Tucker Lee suddenly chuckled and said, "Looks like my decision to accept you as a student wasn't wrong."

"Huh?"

Tucker clasped his hands behind his back and said, "When Presley asked me to be your teacher, I thought the old man had finally lost his screws. Everyone knows that I don't take students, but he kept saying that I won't regret it. And I'm glad I gave you a chance."

"Erm… Ok?" Juin raised a brow at him, not knowing how to respond to this. "So, did I pass?"

"Of course! You're not as strong as me when I was your age, but given the amount of time and the informal training that you received so far, it's understandable. Your potential to be strong is there, so I'll train you," Tucker Lee said. Someone has to inherit the spells that I created anyway…"

He patted Juin's shoulders, then patted his arms and moved all the way down to his legs.

"What the…" Juin stiffened up.

When Tucker Lee stood up straight, he nodded solemnly. "And your body is strong too… Good, good… Alright, it's almost lunchtime. Go get your lunch, take your rest, and come back here for your evening training. That's when your real training begins…"

Juin was slightly confused, but before he could say anything, he was already pushed out of the room, along with Cyrus, who was pouting because he did not manage to catch the dragon's tail even once.

"That's…" Juin sighed. "I don't think I'll ever meet normal people in this world…"

He then walked back to his bedroom to get a change of clothes, before meeting Cyrus and heading down to the dining room. When he arrived, even though he had experienced it last night, but he was still surprised to see the amount of food on the table, which looked like they could feed an entire football team with the amount of food on it.

Seeing his facial expression, Mr. Spencer smiled and explained, "The trainings take a lot of energy, so it is advisable for everyone who is in training to be well fed."

Hearing his explanation, Juin suddenly realized that he was famished. His stomach started to grumble loudly, so he asked, "Can we begin or should we wait for the rest?"

At the moment, only him and Cyrus, as well as some of the staff of the house, were in the dining room.

"Soren brought the food up to Young Master Luca, and Young Lady Maris said not to wait for her…"

Juin nodded before taking his seat next to Cyrus, who was already happily devouring an entire chicken by himself. The way the little beast tore off the leg of the roast chicken was as if he just tore something made out of tofu instead.

"Don't choke…" Juin said before taking a chicken leg from the platter of chickens onto his empty plate.

Without even realizing it, Juin ate more than what he usually ate, almost three times the portion actually. And by the time he was done, he could barely move.

"You have two hours before your next training. Please take a rest now…" Mr. Spencer said when Juin and Cyrus stood up.

The two nodded before heading back to their respective rooms, both eager to start the next session of training.
