Juin glanced at Cyrus, who was looking up at him as well, as if he was wondering who this black-haired boy was and wanted Juin to tell him quickly, and said, "This is Cyrus. He's a beast, and he'd be my partner."

"A beast?" Wolfe stared at Cyrus, who also stared back at him with his eyes narrowed.

"You smell familiar…" Cyrus said with uncertainty. "Have we met before?"

Wolfe and Cyrus looked at each other with curious gazes.

"No, I don't think so," Wolfe said with a shrug. "I don't have the habit of hanging out with little kids outside of my family…"

"But you smell familiar…" Cyrus kept saying as he leaned closer to Wolfe to take a sniff. "I'm sure I have smelled your scent before."

"Maybe you smelled his scent from me?" Juin volunteered, trying to diffuse the situation. He could see that Wolfe was starting to get annoyed at Cyrus, who now had his nose pressed against the guy's shirt. He quickly pulled Cyrus back and said, "Wolfe was my classmate, and at St. Xavier, we occasionally bumped into each other every now and then, so that's probably why…"

Cyrus looked up at Juin, unsure about Juin's explanation. However, since he could not remember it, he decided to put it aside for now.

"Guys!"

"Mr. Tucker," both Juin and Cyrus greeted him while Wolfe nodded at the man respectfully.

"We are heading to Atlas' grave now. Almost everyone has arrived, so it's better that we head there as soon as possible," Mr. Tucker said. He then looked at Wolfe and continued, "Mr. Wolfe, nice meeting you again. Hope you will take pity on my student during the elimination battle."

Wolfe Sterling smiled politely. "No guarantee, Uncle Tucker. I don't have any intention to hurt him, but if we are paired off against each other, I have to take my family into consideration. Besides, it's against my family values to cut slack on someone just because he's new in this world."

Tucker chuckled. "As expected of a son of the Sterling Family. Maybe you should go back to your family. Your elder brother was about to cry when I passed by him earlier. It seems that your mother can't stop nagging him."

Wolfe sighed, and he nodded at Tucker before bidding farewell and going back to his family to save his elder brother their mother's nagging.

Juin and Cyrus took their bags and followed Tucker, and along the way, they saw a lot of the members of the Order, who disguised themselves as families who were here for a holiday.

"It's always crowded here during this time of the year… And this is the least crowded month," Tucker said as they passed by a crowd of tourists.

"Mr. Tucker, do you know Wolfe?" Juin asked after they passed by the hordes of tourists.

"Of course," Tucker said as they continued to walk down the white pathway. "I was there during his birth."

"Oh?"

"His parents and I were on an exploration together in another dimension. Because of some mishaps, the portal that we used collapsed due to instability, and we were stuck in the dimension for a few years. During that time, Wolfe's mother, Gwenna, got pregnant with him and his twin, and despite our attempts to get home before the birth, we failed to do so… So him and his brother were actually born in another dimension."

Juin's eyes widened slightly at that piece of news.

"The birth was difficult. His older brother came out easily, but Wolfe's neck was wrapped by the umbilical cord, and after a few hours, when he was finally born, he wasn't breathing at all," Tucker continued without any prompts as he thought about that day so many years ago.

The pink sky of that particular dimension turned crimson red when Wolfe was born, and there was a loud eerier howling that came from different directions, bringing an ominous feeling to everyone present. And when he finally came out, he did not make any noise at all and was as limp as limp could be, which was a stark contrast to his older brother who came out kicking and screaming.

Just when his parents cried and mourn the loss, the little fellow finally took in his first breath. And something odd happened at that time, and Tucker told this to Juin.

"Something odd?" Juin asked. "What happened?"

"When he was born, he had a tuft of brown hair on the top of his head, which as you can see now, is something that's very common in his family. His parents, his twin, and his younger siblings all have the same features…"

"But his hair is black now…" Juin said. "It changed?"

"Yes," Tucker said with a shrug. "When he finally took a breath and made a small squeaky noise, the tiny strands of hair on his little head turned black in front of our eyes, and when I first looked into his eyes, and I was the first person who saw them... At that time, I thought I was looking into the abyss of hell…"

And when Tucker saw the look on Juin's face, he immediately put on an affronted expression and said, "I'm telling the truth!"

"O… k…" Juin said in an "I don't know if I should believe you" tone. "Anyway, I heard that Wolfe can't turn… Is that true? Some of the kids at school seemed to be afraid of him, but they also said that even though he was an alpha werewolf, he was unable to turn."

Wolfe might be his opponent in the elimination battle, so he wanted to know as much as he could about him.

Hearing his student's question, Tucker thought for a moment before answering, "Actually, there's that problem with Wolfe. We figured that it was because of the circ.u.mstances during his birth. That perhaps something went wrong that caused him to be unable to turn into werewolf form."

"How can he be considered an alpha then?"

"You don't need to turn to be an alpha. The main branch of the Sterling Clan has always been a family of alphas. From the first generation until now, every child born within the family has been alpha. With that and the fact that Wolfe has the scent and aura of an alpha, no one suspected it at first…

"But for outsiders who have never spent any time with him, it's easier for them to believe the rumors, that the main branch of the Sterling Clan finally has a beta wolf and that the patriarch of the Sterling Clan is trying to hide the fact from everyone else. There was even a stupid rumor about Wolfe's parents putting him in his brother's clothes to give him the alpha scent."

There was a look on mockery on Tucker's face when he thought about the time he heard such stupid rumors.

"Then have you ever believed the rumors?" Juin asked with a curious glance.

"I don't care about the rumors," Tucker said, placing an arm around Cyrus' shoulders as they walked. "To me, he was just a kid with unique birth circ.u.mstances. Whether or not he's an alpha, he's still the little brat who constantly pooped his pants. But if you really want a confirmation of his status, when I was at his 5th birthday party, I witnessed, along with his parents and the rest of his clan, how he subdued a much older boy.

"Even without turning, he managed to defeat the older boy, who had taken on his werewolf form, and made the boy kneel in front of him. That was how everyone started to believe that he inherited the alpha blood."

The memory made Tucker smile, as he was secretly happy that the kid that he helped to bring into this world was strong enough to handle everyone. Even though Wolfe had chosen to remain behind his older brother most of the time, Tucker still believed that the boy was destined for greater things.

Suddenly, as Tucker glanced back and saw Presley, who had finally joined them and was now talking to Wolfe's parents, an image of Presley trying to carry Wolfe during that birthday part flashed past in Tucker's mind.

At that time, for some reason, Wolfe, who was usually fine with being carried around by random a.d.u.l.ts, suddenly burst into tears and seemed to be genuinely afraid of Presley. And the boy was inconsolable, stopping only after he completely exhausted himself in his mother's arms.

Since then, Presley had been pretty generous when it came to rewarding the main branch of the Sterling Clan, and the president even occasionally gifted Wolfe and his brother with some soul strengthening pills.

Remembering that, Tucker suddenly stopped on his track. There were tourists who grumbled when Tucker suddenly stopped in the middle of a narrow pathway, but he ignored them.

Instead, he looked at Juin and Cyrus, and with a stern voice, he said, after activating Silence, "The two of you need to remember that a werewolf has the ability to rip a human apart with their b.a.r.e hands without even breaking a sweat. Even if you are friends with them, you need to be careful."

He might have been the one who helped to bring Wolfe and his brother into this world, but to Tucker, his student was more important. After all, this would be the only person he would personally raise and oversee.

"Do you understand me?" Tucker stared at them solemnly, upon which the boys both nodded.
