The situation in the castle was no less exciting than the journey to it. When everyone arrived at the castle, they greeted President Presley, who had finally arrived, before they were brought into the castle by Crown Prince Renaud himself.
Along the way, loud trumpets sound could be heard, seemingly indicating that someone important was about to join them. However, most people's attention was on the decoration of the palace. Everything felt surreal, as if they were in some sort of fairyland.
"Damn, is this an aquarium or a palace?" a pockmarked teenage boy murmured to his friends as they stared at a red whale the size of a Boeing 777 that just flew past their heads. "I've been to Singapore's aquarium, and it's not even half of this!"
His friends nodded in agreement.
"The wards in this place are more unique than I thought," a pre-teen girl suddenly said in a timid yet excited voice as she held her father's hand tightly. "They are all water-related wards with space expansion…"
Hearing that, her father smiled and nodded. "There are more fascinating and weirder wards in the worlds in other dimensions. If you do well in the elimination battle, you can go to the other dimension and learn more there. Come, we need to walk faster. It's not good to keep the king waiting..."
Everyone was brought to the banquet hall, where a group of nobles had already seated down at their own respective seats. It was a rather small banquet, with about thirty round tables set around the room.
When the nobles saw the new group, they nodded in acknowledgment before returning back to what they were doing earlier. However, their servants all nodded respectfully at the group.
Some of the nobles looked at President Presley and nodded respectfully. They seemed like they wanted to talk to the man, but in the end, after a quiet discussion among themselves, they decided to approach him later.
"Please sit whenever you like," Crown Prince Renaud said with a gentle smile to the younger members of the Order as well as their parents. He then turned to President Presley and said, "President Presley, please follow me… My father has asked me to invite you to join him at his table."
As he spoke, he pointed to an empty table that was right before the throne, which was on a raised platform. Unlike other tables, which had simple golden tablecloths, this one was covered in a red tablecloth with gold threadings.
Crown Prince Renaud then looked at the various teachers behind President Presley and said with a smile, "As well as all of you respected teachers as well… My father would love to hear more about what all of you have been doing since we last met."
"Of course, it won't be polite of us if we reject His Majesty's invitation," President Presley said with a smile before walking ahead toward the King's table, as if he was used to this kind of invitation.
Some of the members of the Council, who were also here with their students, followed behind him.
"Be good!" Tucker whispered to Juin and Cyrus before walking off with the rest of the teachers.
"Sit with Juin, alright?" Lann said to Luca with a smile. When she saw that he was about to protest, she quickly said, "Don't make me worry alright? Don't fight with him. Use this time to learn patience."
She then nodded at Soren, silently telling him to watch over Luca. After that, she glanced back at Luca with her usual gentle smile before joining Tucker and the rest of them.
"I wonder what the king looks like," Cyrus thought out loud as he quickly picked a seat at one of the tables nearby. Almost immediately, he reached out for the fried fish snacks that were in the middle of the table, completely forgetting the manners that he learned the last few weeks.
Sighing, Juin sat down next to him, but at the same time, he aslo wondered about the same thing. Crown Prince Renaud was obviously a good looking man, and some might even consider him better than Lucifer, if they could see Lucifer… And First Princess Iris was also beautiful in her own way… So the king himself had to be quite good looking as well, right?
"Hey guys, we would be joining you guys, alright?"
The person asking the question was Maris Aegean, the Siren, and standing behind her was Saville Roc.h.e.s.ter, the snobbish disowned royal. Without waiting for an answer, she quickly sat down next to Juin, who had his soul power shield up immediately, and signaled Saville to sit down next to her.
"I think it's better that us 'Presley's kids' stay together," she joked. "You know, after all, we are family…"
She then looked at Luca, who was also sitting down at the same table, but with empty seats on either side of him. "Aww, Luca, come on, sit closer to us."
"No, thanks," Luca said gruffly. "I'm fine here…"
"Better control your nightmares tonight, Rockefeller," Saville sneered as he leaned back in the chair. "Won't want to have those normal accidents of yours to happen here, right? It would be really embarrassing for the Order and for President Presley, if someone were to find out about it. Oh, maybe your teacher will give you some milk to help calm your nerves?"
"Shut up, Saville. No one's talking to you," Luca retorted, with his eyes narrowed at Saville as he sent a warning aura over. "If I can beat the sh*t out of you during the last elimination battle, I can do it again now… Unless you want to admit defeat with tears in your eyes, AGAIN, I'd recommend you to keep your mouth shut…"
Saville's eyes turned murderous as he hissed, "You cheated on the last elimination battle… I'm sure of it…"
To that, Luca retorted with a scoff, "Cheat? The elements here are to your advantage. Even so, you can't even win against me, who's younger than you and in a disadvantaged position. Why don't you just stop making excuses and spend more time training?"
