Soft, calming music soothed everyone's heart and mind, calming them down before their big battle tomorrow. The ballroom was soon filled with laughters and noises as everyone mingled around, chatting with the nobles that came all over Atlanteans, as well as the extended royal family members of Arconis.

However, on Juin's table, they were pretty quiet. As the only table without any a.d.u.l.ts, naturally, the teenagers did not feel the need to mingle around. Well, except for Saville, who not long after his meal, went over to the nobles of Arconis and started to converse with them.

"He seems at ease around those nobles…" Juin remarked as he placed a piece of crab into his mouth.

"That's normal. He did receive royal teachings after all," Maris explained with a shrug. "Royalties are all alike, disowned or not, on Earth or on another world…"

"I wonder what they are talking about," Juin mumbled.

Chuckling, Maris immediately said, "Don't bother to try and listen. There are wards everywhere that will prevent you from eavesdropping on conversations on another table."

Juin sighed. "I wasn't going to, I was just wondering…"

He then looked at Luca, who was sitting at his seat with his eyes closed. "This guys has been real quiet for a while now… I wonder what's in his mind," Juin thought to himself.

Cyrus, who was sitting next to him while stuffing his face full with seafood, suddenly sat up straight and tensed up. He quickly sat closer to Juin, alerting the latter of what was going on.

"Hi, President Presley," Juin said as he stood up to greet the man who was approaching their table. "Good evening, King Frederic."

Seeing the man that he had only heard about so far, Juin suddenly thought of Arthur. After all, while there was no proof that this man harmed his brother and sister-in-law, as well as his young nephew, there was indeed proof and plenty of witnesses who saw the execution of Arthur's brother.

As such, Juin could not help but wonder if Arthur was alright. After they came into the palace, a young servant boy came over to them and whispered something to Arthur, upon which the boy happily bid goodbye to everyone and left with the older servant boy.

"He should be fine, right?" Juin thought as he looked at the king and Presley.

Not knowing what was on Juin's mind, Presley smiled and said to the king, "This is the boy I told you about, our latest addition, Juin. And that's his newfound shapeshifting pet, Cyrus, who seems to be uncomfortable with my presence…"

"Please, President Presley," Juin said as he placed an arm around Cyrus. "He's just nervous…"

"Death…" Cyrus thought as he looked up meekly at Presley and the king. He then buried his face in Juin's side like a shy kid instead of a legendary beast that he was. "They both smelled like death…" he thought with a shiver as he refused to look at them.

"Sorry about this, King Frederic," Juin explained patiently. "Cyrus here has a hard time bonding with people…"

"It's alright. He reminded me of my son when he was that age. Boy, was Renaud a shy little boy… He used to run away whenever Presley wanted to hug him. I was worried that he would never grow out of it. Thankfully, everything is fine now," the king said before laughing out loud.

"I saw him earlier, during the… erm…" Juin wasn't sure if it was appropriate to talk about the fight between Iris and Cecile earlier, so he looked at Presley, hoping that he would be able to help him out with this.

However, King Frederic knew what was on his mind, and he waved a hand and said, "Don't be shy, Juin. You saw him when he's dispersing the fight between Iris and my niece, Cecile, right?"

With his hands on his back, he then glanced back at the table where Iris was sitting opposite Cecile, with Renaud between them. With a soft chuckle, he looked back at Juin and said, "My daughter and my niece have always been in a rivalry of sort, even back when they were babies. These youngsters have too much energy, that's all… Feel free to ask questions if you have any…"

Juin nodded. "I saw Crown Prince Renaud just now, and he seems quite strong. I was just curious to know how strong he really is…"

"Hmm…" King Frederic thought for a moment before answering, "My son is a naturally talented person… I would say that he's pretty strong…"

He then looked at President Presley and said, "But maybe not as strong as you huh, Presley,"

Presley chuckled softly as he shook his head. "You flattered me, Your Majesty. No matter what, I'm still the president of a supernatural group, so it would be slightly embarrassing to lose to a young crown prince. But I can see that Crown Prince Renaud has improved a lot in the last five years. It would be nice if we can take a look at his fighting skills this time…"

"Hmm…" King Frederic nodded as he scratched his chin. Despite being a father to two a.d.u.l.ts, he still looked like he was in his 30s. With his clean shaven look, Juin could see why he was popular among his people.

"Maybe we can have a spar with Crown Prince Renaud?" Luca suddenly asked; his eyes full of anticipation.

King Frederic looked at him, and after a while, he laughed. "I remember you. Luca Rockefeller, Lann's precious student. The last time you were here, you were just a tiny little thing, but look at you now! You are so much bigger!"

"I have hit puberty, Your Majesty," Luca said respectfully, but in a deadpanned manner.

The king laughed. "Yes, puberty. I heard that you almost reached the finals during the last Battle of the Underground Beings?"

Luca nodded. "But I was still kicked off the stage…"

"As I recall, at that time, you haven't been with the Order for long, right? To think that a young inexperienced child like you was able to go so far is already an achievement. Don't beat yourself up," King Frederic said with a smile. "I heard from Lann earlier. She said that you have been practicing really hard the last few years, so I'm sure that this time, you would be able to do go further, maybe even winning the battle."

"Thank you, Your Majesty, I will…" Luca said as he shot a glare at Juin.

While he had no idea what was the extent of Juin's power, but his gut feelings told him that Juin was stronger, or was capable of growing stronger, than anyone else. At such, Luca could not get rid of the feeling of wariness when it came to Juin.

From all the intelligence he gathered, Juin was the wild card. He was new, so except for the fight between the two of them, there was nothing else that could indicate Juin's battle strength. And even that fight wasn't won based on Juin's own strength.

Luca could not help but twitch his lips slightly as he thought about the incoming elimination battle. As he glared at Juin, he thought to himself, "You better reach far enough so that we can meet on the stage…"
