Back on the battle stage,

Taking in a pill to repress his physical pain slightly, Saville glared at Caelian from the thin ice bridge while rubbing his c.h.e.s.t. That impact earlier hurt more than he expected.

"That was… fun," he sneered, wiping away the blood from his mouth. All of a sudden, the ice bridge disappeared, and Saville fell to the ground while holding the falchion tight in his hands. However, his eyes were clear, indicating that this was not an attack.

About a few meters away, the weapon in his hands glowed in the coldest blue ever imaginable.

And the moment he reached the ground, he immediately stabbed his falchion deep into it, further decreasing the temperature of the battle stage.

The moment the falchion stabbed into the ground of the stage, even the air caused by the movement started to freeze. The fact that the "air" was actually water made the scene even more dramatic as everything could be seen clearly.

Ice cold ripples spread out quickly from the contact point of the falchion, and when it hit the sides of the battle stage, it caused the entire arena to shake slightly before sending another layer of frost all over the dome.

Even Caelian began to feel the chill from the battle stage, especially since the "air" around him started to get colder and colder. Luckily, the ward that surrounded this city under the water was an ancient yet extremely strong ward, to the point that no one could fully freeze it. Otherwise, he would be dead by now.

With the falchion still planted in the frosty ground, Saville suddenly shouted, "Frost Stalactites!"

Caelian immediately looked up and saw hundreds of sharp ice growing from the ice above and piercing toward him quickly.

"Damn it!" Caelian immediately conjured up a few more tornadoes, jumping from one to the other as he dodged the "stalagmites". He glanced at his weapon, which was still hovering an inch above the ground, and shook his head. "No, I won't use it," he muttered, more so to himself than anyone else.

He had to come to a halt when a stalactite nearly pierced through him and turned back, where hundreds of stalactites were blocking his way.

While jumping from one mini tornado to another mini tornado, Caelian put out his right hand, upon which a golden symbol appeared on his palm, followed by leaf-like wind daggers that were visible to the n.a.k.e.d eye.

He then turned around, taking a few steps backward, and made a slanted horizontal cut motion, followed by a push motion, with his right hand.

Swoosh!!!

The wind daggers on his hand cut across the distance between him and the stalactites, breaking those closest to him and giving him some space to move about.

Thud!

Thud!

"The air…" Caelian narrowed his eyes and quickly sent a few more. It seemed that even though the "air" here, which was made of water, was supposed to simulate the air above ground, but no matter what, it was still water. As such, there was a heaviness in the "air" that slowed down his attack, thus reducing the effectiveness of it. Furthermore…

"Something's not right with the air!" he thought as he created more wind daggers. "Wind Leaves!"

He had to expend more energy to throw out a couple more Wind Leaves.

Swoosh!

More and more broken stalactites fell to the ground, but none of them hit Saville, who had somehow found the time to create an elegant yet sturdy roof-like shield made of ice, which appeared a little like an igloo that was cut in half.

"Come on, young Elysium!" Saville laughed as he made a slashing down movement, upon which the stalactites that had been cut into stumps began to grow again. "Is this all that is to your power? And everyone said that you were a dark horse! I think you are more like a pig about to be slaughtered!"

Saville put both his hands forward, one palm facing upward and one facing down. Both palms glowed in blue as he slapped them together and snapped, "Frost Bite!"

Immediately, the ground area around him started to rumble as hundreds of sharp ice "stalagmites" rose from the ground around Saville, heading toward the young boy who was still dodging and running in midair.

At the same time, the "stalactites" grew from above, forcing the young boy to get closer and closer to the ground as he skipped from one tornado to another.

There was less than 5 meters between Caelian and the stalactites and stalagmites, and nowhere to run.

And he also noticed that the tornadoes were getting harder and harder to form.

"He's freezing the air!" Caelian thought to himself as he tried to dodge the longer "swords" while breaking whatever he could with his Wind Leaves. His breath started to get uneven as he created more and more tornadoes, even sending some to break the "ice swords", but doing so only expended his soul power faster.

He glanced at his weapon, which was trapped by the "bottom swords" now. There was less than 1 meter on both top and bottom before he would be pierced to death.

"Caelian!" someone shouted from the spectators' seats. "Use your weapon!"

No one paid attention to the person who shouted. Everyone's eyes were glued to the scene; no one wanted to take their eyes away in case something interesting happened.

Caelian also ignored the person who shouted, who was also his guardian. He shook his head, refusing to call upon his weapon.

"50 cm left!" he thought to himself as he quickly formed a spell in his Soul Dimension.

All the air particles from his surroundings were collected, and they rushed toward him, surrounding him, until he was encapsulated in a tornado-like sphere.

"Not so easy!" Saville roared as he slammed his hands on the ground, palms down. It was harder to breath, with Caelian dragging away all the oxygen molecules to form his "sphere", but he still managed to do it.

In a few seconds, the entire battle stage was covered by another thicker layer of frost.

"I can't see!"

"The ice is too thick!"

"Can someone from the other side see what's happening inside?!"

Some of the spectators complained aloud, and some even slammed on the protective dome that separated them from the participants, but they still could not see through the thick layers of ice.

Within the dome, the stalactites and stalagmites grew even faster than before, until they touched the wind sphere that was protecting Caelian.

"Do you think you can hide in that stupid ball?" Saville roared as he increased the output of his soul power.

The two ice "swords" stabbed the "tornado sphere" from both top and bottom, causing two indentation points on the sphere.

A bright light leaked out from the sides of the sphere as the ice "swords" pressed further down.

BANG!

The wind ball burst from inside, and huge powerful ripples surged out, causing the "air" around them to be pushed outward as the ripples cut the "swords" cleanly.

"Sh*t!" Saville cursed as he blocked his eyes, trying to protect them from the falling ice particles.
