Once it was quiet, King Frederic cleared his throat and said loudly, "The battle between Saville Roc.h.e.s.ter and Caelian Elysium had been interesting, at least the first half of it anyway. As we did not know what happened after that, nor could the participants tell us the truth themselves, we have no choice but to make a decision. Since both of them were found unconscious, the judge and I have decided that this battle is a…"

He glanced around the arena slowly for effect before saying loudly, "TIE!"

"A tie?!"

"No way!"

"Oh boy, I'm dead!"

The spectators either complained or cried as devastation set in. Only a few of them betted on a tie, which gave them huge winnings, and this group of people were jumping around in joy. After all, since the bookmaker did not expect a tie, there was a 40:1 payout. And these people, who betted on tie just for fun, earned a windfall!

As for the rest… Most of them lost everything they betted with, and they slumped on their seats with tears rolling down their cheeks.

"Dumba*ses…" Cyrus scoffed. He then looked over at the noble who hit servant girl earlier, and to his disappointment, the noble seemed unaffected.

Juin noticed Cyrus' expression and looked over at where the little beast was looking. "He probably didn't bet much. If he's colluding with Saville, I don't think he would want to do it so openly. In which case, he probably just bet a small amount earlier."

Cyrus looked at Juin and sighed. After a while, his ears pricked up. "He bet against you, just so you know…"

"What?" Juin frowned as he narrowed his eyes at the noble. "No wonder he's stupid enough to collude with Saville. My opponent is a kid, and he bet against me?! I don't like this feeling of being looked down upon."

"Let's counter bet then…" Tucker said, standing up. He took out a wad of cash and said, "There's a few minutes left before your turn. I'll be right back."

When he came back, he sighed. "The rate isn't that good. They said that as there's a lack of information on both parties, there's a 50:50 chance of winning for each party, so it's only a 1:1 payout. I tried to tell them that you are absolutely useless, but they… Well, they bought it, but they also don't have any confidence in your opponent."

He seemed extremely disappointed by it… And he was. He wanted to earn some quick cash here, and maybe change them into gold bars or something that he could bring back to Earth with him.

He then looked at Juin, who had a somewhat annoyed expression. At first, he wanted to say something, but in the end, he turned to Cyrus instead. "Win, but make it look like Juin's super weak. If others can collude, we can do some sneaky things as well. And maybe in the next round, we can get more money out of this."

Cyrus understood his plan and gave him a thumbs up. "But what do I get out of this?"

"I'll buy you anything you want once we are back. So, deal?" Tucker put a hand out, palm facing up, as he grinned broadly at Cyrus.

"Deal!" Cyrus grinned and slapped Tucker's palm.

Meanwhile, Juin, who had been reduced to being an invisible teenager, merely rolled his eyes and muttered, "If this kid becomes a gambling addict, you are responsible for it, Mr. Tucker."

And not surprisingly, Tucker merely gave him an unapologetic shrug.

"Ah, we came too late," Lann said with a sigh. When she found out who Saville's opponent was, she immediately went to look for Luca, hoping that he could learn a thing or two about another Wind user. By the time Luca finished off his opponent and they rushed back, they were only in time to see the layers of ice falling off from the protective dome.

"It's alright…" Luca said as he patted the wrinkles on his shirt. The battle earlier caused him to move a little too much, and wrinkles had formed on his shirt. Usually, he did not care much about his clothes, but Lann gave him this shirt, and it even had a "Go, Luca" embroidered on the shirt pocket, so he treasured this immensely.

Looking at his teacher, he smiled and said, "That Caelian kid is probably strong, if he can shut Saville's mouth up."

"But he fainted as well…"

Luca shrugged. "Saville might be weaker than me, but he's not all that useless. And for Caelian, who's here for the first time, to be able to grasp the surroundings and use it to his benefit… I think that speaks a lot for him. President Presley would be very pleased to know that we have another strong prodigy in our generation."

Lann nodded. "Indeed. Presley has always been fond of the strong."

When she looked at Luca, she noticed that his eyes were focused elsewhere. Following it, she saw that he was looking toward one of the seating areas, where Juin, Cyrus, and Tucker were at.

Those three seemed to be discussing something quite intently.

"Why are you paying so much attention to him?" Lann asked out of curiosity. "You have always care naught for anyone else…"

"I care about you," Luca said as he looked at her. He then blushed and looked away. "I just want to fight him, that's all. A full-on, no holdback kind of fight."

"Why?" Lann continued to ask. When Luca did not answer, she continued pressing, "Is it because of the demon within him?"

Luca's eyes twitched slightly, which was caught by Lann.

"Luca," Lann said as she placed a hand on his shoulder, "I know you are looking for a way to revive your parents, but this is not the way to go."
