When the gong was hit, their eyes moved to look toward the area where the royal family was sitting, and true enough, while they were talking, the royal members had already moved to their seats.

"Let's talk about this later," Tucker said, signaling the boys to sit down and be quiet.

"Good morning!" the king greeted once the noisy crowd died down. He then started to give a speech on the battles that he witnessed yesterday as well as how spectacular those battles were and how he hoped to see more of such battles, especially among the young Arconians, taking this opportunity to lecture the Arconians on the importance of getting stronger and to maintain the status quo.

After about 5 minutes, he said, "As there would only be four battles today, all of them would be held here at the royal arena so as to make it convenient both for the participants as well as the spectators…"

"Woo!!!"

"Yes!"

"Ah, I shouldn't have spent money hiring people to get me good seats!"

"Thankfully, I came here and got a good seat!"

The spectators cheered when they heard that they could watch all the battles without leaving their seats.

While the king was talking, Juin did not take his eyes off Princess Cecile at all, staring at her so intently that she finally noticed it and looked in his direction.

"Oh, look at that… You have a fan…"

Princess Cecile glanced to her right side, where Princess Iris was sitting, but she ignored her and kept her eyes on Juin while thinking, "Why is he staring at me with such confused gaze?"

"Really, I don't know what he sees in someone like you," Princess Iris whispered to Cecile. "Someone like you who would have been sent to a brothel if your mother--"

"Iris!" Renaud hissed at his sister, having overheard her words. He glared at her and whispered harshly, "Don't create trouble today!"

"I know where you went to drag her back last night," Iris whispered back while glancing at her father's back. She then looked at Cecile and sneered in a lower volume, "At least you are the one getting served…"

"Iris… This is my last warning," Renaud said, his eyes turning thunderously blue, almost as if there was a thunderstorm about to happen in it.

He had tried his best to keep everything under wrapped, but with so many people seeing Cecile walking into the brothel in the middle of the night, it would be hard to completely hide it from people.

The fact that this was not the first time only made it worse.

Even so, he was not about to let anyone talk about his cousin like that, not even his own sister.

"You're always overprotective of her! Don't you know who your sister is!" Iris hissed.

"Don't start this with me!" Renaud hissed back, making sure that his voice was low enough as to not disturb his father's speech.

"And so," the king said, taking care to say the words loudly, as if he were telling his kids that he heard them and that he wanted them to shut up. "Let's begin today's battles!"

When the judges sitting inside a special seating area within the battle arena, right inside the protective dome, and who were presiding the battles today heard him, one of them, the Head Judge, stood up, bowed at the king, and turned to the spectators.

"First round! Luca Rockefeller vs Caelian Elysium!" the judge announced loudly.

"Yes! Rockefeller! I'm betting on him!"

"Are you kidding? Were you not here during Caelian's fight? That kid might win!"

"Rockefeller won the last one!"

"Who cares? I'm betting on Caelian!"

The spectators talked among themselves as they waited for the participants to get on the stage. They cheered loudly when they saw Luca appearing at one of the entrances with Lann.

"Oh god! Rockefeller, Rockefeller!"

"That's his teacher, right? Ms. Lann! Marry me!!!"

Those spectators who were making suggestions to Lann immediately shut up when they saw the murderous gaze that Luca directed at them.

After a long time, however, the other participant, Caelian Elysium, did not show up at all. Out of patience, the Head Judge directed one of the guards to go look for him.

A few moments later, the guard came back and reported to the judge, who then walked up onto the stage and declared, "Unfortunately, Caelian Elysium has chosen to forfeit the match! This round's winner is Luca Rockefeller!"

"What?"

"What the hell!"

"My money!!!"

The spectators either cried or laugh at the fall of their fortune or the easy windfall.

As for Luca, despite being displeased, he did not say much and merely left the stage with his teacher quietly.

"What happened?" Juin murmured to himself. He then looked at Tucker, who then shrugged.

"That's unfortunate, but we should move on," the Head Judge said loudly. He then continued, "The next round would be the battle between Augutine Sterling and Wolfe Sterling! Let's…"

He was about to ask the participants to come on stage when another guard ran into the battle arena and went to whisper something in his ear.

"Err…" The Head Judge looked dumbfounded as he exglanced glances of disbelief with the guard. He then looked up at the king briefly before clearing his throat and announced, "Augustine Sterling has chosen to forfeit this match. The winner for this round is Wolfe Sterling!"

The entire battle stage turned silent; so silent that if someone were to drop a pin now, it could be heard clearly by everyone.

A few seconds later, there was an uproar.

"What the hell is happening?!"

"Why the f*ck is everyone forfeiting?!"

"What's the point of having a match then!"

"Hey, you people from the Order! Is 'surrendering before the match' part of your motto?!"

"I wasted money for nothing!"

"Fight!"

"Fight!"

"Fight!"

The Arconian spectators were threatening to revolt if this continued, and Renaud had to dispatch more soldiers to get the scene under control.

"President Presley?" The king looked at President Presley, who was sitting next to him, and asked, "Is this… normal?"

"I can assure you that it's not…" Presley said with a wry smile, "I'm not sure about Caelian, but for Augustine… I kind of expected it. He's the doting older brother type…"

"Ah…" The king nodded. "While I disagree with his action, as that just means that he's looking down on his younger brother, this is not my place to say anything. Let's just hope that there's no more forfeit."
