The king then waved a hand at the Head Judge, telling him to move on to the next participants.

The Head Judge gulped and nodded respectfully. Looking at the spectators, he then announced the participants for the third round.

"Saville Roc.h.e.s.ter vs Juin…" The Head Judge raised a brow at the surname but he still maintained his professionalism by not making any remark openly.

"Why didn't you use your surname?" Tucker looked at Juin with a curious glance and asked, "Come to think of it, I don't know your surname yet, and I'm your teacher."

Juin merely shrugged. "It doesn't matter. It's just a surname that the state gave to me, not something that I care much for. Let's go."

Based on his tone, it seemed that he did not want to talk about this matter any longer. Cyrus and Tucker both exchanged curious glances before shrugging and letting the matter go. Cyrus was because surname mattered little to a beast, but Tucker was because he knew this had something to do with Juin's background as an orphan.

Hence, they both merely kept quiet and followed Juin down to the battle stage.

"Who do you think will win?"

"That kid named Juin of course! His pet is overpowered!

"Hell, I bet a lot on Juin because of his pet!"

"I still think that Saville will win. Unlike Juin's previous opponents, Saville has plenty of battle experiences. Even his battle with Caelian earlier showed that he has improved a lot since the last time we saw him."

The spectators discussed fervently among themselves. They no longer dared to make their bets without thinking deeply, especially with the appearance of the dark horse, and the forfeiting of the previous two battles by two powerful participants.

When Juin got to the battle stage, Saville and his master were already there, and they were discussing something inside the special spectator seat.

"They are probably planning something," Tucker said as he pushed Juin into the special spectator seat on their side of the stage. "Don't worry too much about it. Have you read all the information on Saville's abilities?"

Juin nodded.

"Your flame power will be greatly diminished. So far, you haven't even used it once in a battle, so you need to be alert and learn how to adjust to the circ.u.mstances," Tucker advised.

Juin nodded.

"Participants, please get on stage!"

"Good luck!" Tucker said as he watched Juin and Cyrus walk out of the seating area and up onto the stage. Unlike Juin's previous battle, where he did not even bat an eye once, he could not help but worry for his student. Ice and fire. Which would be the stronger element?

As Juin watched Saville who was standing on the opposite side of the stage, he whispered to Cyrus, who was standing beside him, "I'll take him this time."

"What?!" Cyrus gasped and looked up at him. "But I want to fight him!"

"Be good," Juin said, placing a hand on Cyrus' head. "You have fought a lot yesterday. Let me fight today. Let me prove to people that you aren't unlucky enough to be stuck to a weak owner."

Cyrus looked at Juin, and his lips twitched slightly, but after a while, he conceded, "Alright… You can fight."

He then glanced back at the spectators before grinning. "They aren't going to be happy about this though…"

The Head Judge walked up the stage and stood in the middle. "Participants, you will begin in 3. I'm sure that all of you have known the rules by heart now."

When he saw Juin and Saville nod, he then continued, "In that case, I'll skip the explanation. In 3… 2… 1… Let the fight begin!"

The Head Judge then quickly ran off from the stage, leaving the other three people on it. The moment he was off the stage, the protective dome was activated, and everyone's view of the scene outside the dome was cut off.

"So, kid, you'll be my opponent today?" Saville sneered as he glanced at Cyrus.

"Sadly…" Cyrus shrugged and pointed at Juin. "He will be your opponent today."

He then went to the edge of the battle stage and sat there with his arms and legs folded. "I'll be a watcher today."

...

From outside the protective dome,

"Wait! What is the kid doing?! Why is he sitting by the side?!" One of the spectators stood up and yelled angrily, "Hey kid, go and fight! I have a lot riding on this!"

"Hey!" Another angry spectator roared, "F*ck this! I'm going to double the bet I placed on that stupid kid and put it on Saville! At least let me recoup the loss!"

Unknown to those within the dome, there was a lot of commotion going on outside as people hurried to go to their bookies.

"You?" Saville looked at Juin, and after a few seconds, he burst out laughing. Here I thought I can have at least a few seconds of fun…"

As he spoke, the air around him gradually turned into snowflakes that seemed to be floating in midair. "I don't even feel threatened by your little pet, much less a weakling like you…" Saville said with a sneer as a blue diagram appeared on his right palm.

"Let's see if you can dodge this!" Saville snapped, just as the snowflakes turned on their sides and were sent toward Juin's direction, covering him from multiple angles. "Snow Bombs!"

"Jump!" Juin told himself in his mind, as he jumped up in midair and dodged the snowflakes.

"Danger!"

Juin heard Lucifer's warning ringing in his mind, and he quickly looked up, upon which, he saw ten swords heading toward him at great speed.

"Flame Shield!" Juin quickly formed the required diagram in his Soul Dimension, which was then reflected in real life in burning red in front of him as he crouched his body in midair with his arms crossed in front of him.

He could almost create all the shield spells that he had learned so far in a split second due to all the horrendous training sessions with Lucifer and Tucker, and he was glad about this.

Right before the swords arrived within inches of him, a burst of flames appeared from the burning red diagram, engulfing Juin in his entirety, making him look like a ball of flames.

BAM!

BAM!

BAM!

The swords hit the shield one by one, and if one looked close enough, one could see the condensation on the sword that was caused by the heat of the shield.

KABOOM!

A series of mini-explosions could be heard shortly after, which were caused by the snowflakes that burst upon contact with the flaming shield, hissing loudly before exploding.

"Oh my!"

"That's quite a pretty shield there, Juin," Saville said with a smirk as another dark blue diagram appeared in his right hand. "Let's see if you can fight this."
