"Do you remember that?" the human silhouette asked, but its voice came from everywhere instead of from where its mouth was supposed to be.

"No! How would I remember that!" Juin snapped as he glared at the human silhouette. "Who are you? Why are you doing this to me?! And where the hell am I?!"

The human figure chuckled, and it was as if there were thousands of people chuckling at the same time.

"Shut up!" Juin roared, closing his ears with his hands.

The human figure then shifted, and it soon took over a more humanized appearance, albeit still glowing in red. "This is not me, but you are too weak to see the real me… I should settle for this appearance for now…"

When Juin saw his own face staring back at him, his hands slowly fell from his ears as a look of disbelief was reflected on his face… his real face.

"You…" Eyes widened with shock, Juin stared at the red-eyed version of himself as he stuttered, "You're him… No… You're me… No!"

He shook his head hard and said, "No! You are the shackled soul that Lucifer told me about! The one that Mr. Warlock placed in my body!"

"Yes, Lucifer… and Warlock," the other Juin said with a look of disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. He then smiled and said, "It's been a while, and with the Goldenglow Shackle, I was unable to talk to you properly, but now that it has been partially broken… I guess I should introduce myself… Hi, Juin, my name is Hades."

"Hades…" Juin nodded. He relaxed slightly. For some reason, he felt a strong connection to this "Hades", and something within him was telling him to let down his guard.

"I didn't realize that you'd be lucky enough to meet so many people who helped you control me," Hades said as he paced around Juin. "When I chose that baby's body, I thought that I would be able to wake up one day…"

His glowing fingers clenched into fists as he said, But that stupid man…"

He spread his arms to the side and released a few red, powerful beams of lights out. Once his anger subsided, he dropped his arms and looked at Juin again, "I didn't know that my soul would split because of the shackle, and a strong soul such as yourself would be born from me, and I definitely didn't know that Lucifer and I would one day occupy the same body… Then again, I doubt that anyone would ever believe such a thing…"

"Do you know Lucifer?" Juin asked him curiously upon hearing the mention of that name. He had a feeling that Lucifer knew who the shackled soul was, but the latter never mentioned anything about it.

Everytime he asked, Lucifer merely gave him an odd glance and dismissed his question.

Hades raised his chin as he looked at Juin. "You're the only one who doesn't know the whole truth, Juin…"

"What do you mean?"

"If I were you, I won't trust anyone. Not that stupid man, nor Lucifer. Well, except me…" Hades stepped closer to Juin until he was right in front of him. He then raised a hand and c.a.r.e.s.sed Juin's face as he said in a soft, gentle voice, "The only one you can trust is me… After all, we are the same… I am your father, and I am you."

Juin shivered when Hades touched him. It felt as if every cell in his body was hit with a wave of coldness, and all he wanted to do was to slap Hades' hand away and make the coldness go away, yet he seemed to be unable to control his own muscles as he stared at Hades.

And Hades could sense his fear clearly.

He then laughed out loud before pulling his hand away and continued to walk around Juin slowly, as if he were admiring a piece of art.

Juin's eyes followed Hades as the latter paced around him.

"Are you… awakening?" he asked after a long moment of silence. A huge part of him was afraid; afraid that he might lose the battle and be swallowed by Hades.

"In a way…" Hades answered after a short moment of silence. "I have always been awake…"

Staring into Juin's eyes, Hades then added, "Through you."

Outside, on the battle stage, Luca had a premonition of imminent disaster as he stared at the red-eyed Juin through Boreas' eyes. His years of training had heightened his sense, and at this moment, his body was telling him that if he did not act soon, he would regret it.

"Retreat! Retreat!" The word kept repeating itself in Luca's mind as the tornado that he sent out through Boreas was completely covered by the black veins. Even though he was unwilling to admit defeat, Luca quickly told Boreas to step back.

However, before Boreas could retreat, "Juin", or Hades, (Author's note : To avoid confusion, I'll just use Hades whenever he takes over Juin's body from now on) snickered and said, "It won't be long now…"

He snapped his fingers, upon which the tornado was completely engulfed by the black flames that were created by the veins, blocking everyone else's view. In addition, the veins did not stop there. It followed the tornado and reached the ground before spreading out to the stage and climbed up the protective dome.

Seeing that, Luca immediately jumped and used the power of the wind to keep himself in midair.

Beads of sweat were starting to form on his forehead quickly as the previously freezing cold environment was replaced by the heat generated by the weird black veins.

"Time to play with some fire," Hades said with a chuckle before snapping his fingers again.

"ARGGGHHH!!!" Boreas roared as he felt his body being burned by the black flames.

"How is this possible!" Luca snapped as he watched Boreas suffering from the pain. "Boreas' body is ethereal, so how… Arh!"

Luca's body suddenly heated up to an unbearable level, and he quickly fell on one knee as he tried to disperse the pain. At the moment, he was feeling what Boreas was feeling. "This power… What the hell is this! This couldn't be happening!"

He was a separate entity from Boreas, and unless Boreas was killed off, he would not suffer any backlash nor share the pain. Therefore, he could not understand why he was feeling so much burning pain at the moment.

To the spectators, they were unable to tell what was happening to Luca at the moment. All they could see was the teenager actively called upon a few layers of wind and ice particles to surround him, as if he did not want anyone to see him.

"His power could not only hurt the soul, but the owner who called upon the soul as well?" Luca suddenly thought in pain as he quickly tried to make Boreas leave.

Boreas was real.

He wasn't just a god created solely by humans' imagination. He was a human himself; one of the first powerful Wind Elementalists, who upon his death, had his soul turned by Aeolus, bringing him into the ranks of the Wind Gods of Earth.

And Luca was similar to Juin, in that he was the vessel of some of the Wind Gods. The only difference was that he had been chosen by the Wind Gods even before he was born.

"It's a form of ranged soul attack!" Luca thought with a horrified expression. "Impossible! How could a human—"
