"Well, other than your freakish growth…" Cyrus teased with a smirk. "There was a celebratory party that the king threw to celebrate Luca's victory,

Now that Juin was awake, his expression had gradually gone back to that before the competition. The last two weeks had been hard on him, being in an environment that was utterly unsuitable for his kind and that he was so near Presley without the protection of his guardian.

He then glanced at his hands, which caught Tucker's attention. Cyrus gave him a brief glance before looking away. While Juin was in a coma, Cyrus' emotions were badly affected.

Even though Tucker kept him close and tried his best to make him feel safe, but Cyrus could not trust him enough to tell him about Presley's attempt to take him. The only ones he could trust was the man who saved him, as well as Juin.

And in an anger-induced moment, Cyrus' innate nature took over, and he committed mass murder.

One night, after everyone had fallen asleep, he snuck out of the palace and went for a walk.

As he walked, the bells on his ankle rang softly.

While walking past an empty street, he suddenly heard shouting and crying coming from one of the houses, so he jumped onto the roof and took a look.

Their backs were badly torn open by the vicious whip, but this only made their master smile wider as he enjoyed his cup of wine.

Cyrus' eyes turned red, and the next thing he knew, he had completely transformed into his true state and was standing on all four above the mauled man, with multiple dead bodies around him, and the only survivors were the three young slave girls who had already fainted from the whipping.

The man, who had barely any energy left and had all limbs torn off, pleaded as he looked into the angry eyes of the horrifying beast. He was angered by his losses and had been taking them out on his slaves when out of nowhere, a beast with five tails came in and killed almost everyone on sight.

All he could hear was the soft sound of bells before he was splattered with warm, hot blood.

The scene was so brutal that everyone was frozen in place, and by the time they wanted to call for help, their throats had been torn out.

And their master tried to reach for his weapons, only to find that his arms had been torn off. In the agonizing pain, he completely lost his thinking faculty, and it was only a matter of time before the beast killed everyone and stepped on him.

"Grrrrr!!!" the beast growled as it bared its sharp teeth at the man.

"No, please, I will--"

That was his last words.

The beast then glanced at the unconscious slave girls. With his enhanced hearing, he could hear sounds coming from far away, and he quickly jumped onto the roof, grabbed the clothes that he discarded earlier, and rushed to a few miles away, where he smelled fresh water.

After he washed himself clean, he turned back into his human form and ran back to the medical room that Juin was in, before anyone even realized it.

When the news broke out, Presley had come for a visit, and he had glared at Cyrus for what seemed like forever, until Tucker lied and covered for Cyrus by telling Presley that Cyrus was asleep the whole time.

With no witnesses, Presley could not prove anything, so he merely warned Tucker against keeping things from him and left.

After Presley left, Tucker took a look at Cyrus' body. He did not say anything, but once he made sure that there was no wound on the beast's body, he made Cyrus take another bath, reminding him to wash his bells thoroughly.

"To not affect Juin's rest, I have cast a spell to keep this place well-scented…" Tucker said when Cyrus looked at him with a confused expression upon being told to wash his bells.

He knew, and Cyrus knew that he knew. That explained why the room smelled like lavender not long after he returned. Tucker had known that Cyrus had done something bloody and tried to cover up the scent that he brought back with a scent spell.

But none of them spoke a word about it since then.

However, Cyrus also knew that he had attracted Presley's attention with his action, so he had been living in fear since then.

But now that Juin was awake, he felt much safer.

"A lot of people had gone back to Earth," Cyrus said as he sat on the bed with his feet dangled off the floor, creating the soft bell sound. As per Tucker's instructions, he had washed his bells thoroughly, and when he was washing them, he found bloodstains on two of them.

And he knew then that was how Tucker found out about his action that night.

"Other than us, only that… man, Luca, Lann, Wolfe, and Caelian and his guardian are still here," Cyrus said, pushing the memory of that night away from his mind.

"They left?" Juin raised a brow. He then nodded to no one in particular. "I guess life must go on. I can understand why Presley is still here, but the rest?"

"Lann felt bad since you were injured during the battle with her student, so she decided to stay behind and wait until you wake up. And Luca… Well, he's not about to leave without his beloved teacher, so he's staying here as well," Tucker explained before heading to the door to tell the nurse about Juin.

"What about school?"

After the nurse ran off to find the doctor, Tucker went back to stand next to Juin's bed as he continued, "There were three more weeks till the new term, so we weren't worried about it. Well, one more week now."

"Ok, what about Wolfe?" Juin asked, wondering why that guy would stay. There were no mangas here for him, he presumed.

"Wolfe…" Tucker laughed. "He felt safer here since his father wouldn't whack him that badly in front of so many people, so after his family went through the portal, he snuck away and told another candidate that he would be staying back until you are awake. I guess he wanted to wait till his father is completely calm before going back."

Upon hearing that, Juin's lips twitched slightly. He had somehow grasped Wolfe's personality. That guy was using his comatose state as an excuse not to go home. He wondered if that guy even visited him in the last two weeks. He was probably enjoying himself during the last two weeks.

"As for Caelian, it seems that he hasn't recovered after his last battle, so he and his guardian decided to stay as well."
