"Caelian? Is he alright? He didn't seem that terribly injured…"

"I think there might be something wrong with his soul," Tucker said with a shrug. "But we can't know for sure. Caelian has been protected his whole life, and up until that fight, we don't know anything about him. Even now, when Presley offered to take a look at him, his guardian vehemently refused to allow him to do so, citing that Caelian was feeling a little down and that he would be fine after a few more days."

Tucker thought for a while before adding, "But I think that Caelian is probably just like Wolfe, in that he wanted some freedom."

"Caelian is nothing like Wolfe…" Juin thought to himself, recalling the conversation that he had with Lucifer about the other "Caelian", the one that took over the kid Caelian's body during the battle with Saville, where the only other spectator was Lucifer.

Juin then looked at Cecile, and after a split second of hesitation, he smiled. "Hi, Princess Cecile. Thanks for visiting me. I'm sorry if I have given you too much trouble."

Princess Cecile shook her head. She then blushed slightly and gently scratched her cheek as she said, "I… I was nearby, that's all."

Hearing that, Tucker rolled his eyes slightly. He saw Princess Cecile pacing outside the recuperation room that Juin was placed in, and he actually stood a distance away while watching her pace for almost five minutes before approaching her and inviting her along.

"Oh puh-lease," Cyrus rolled his eyes dramatically as he said tactlessly, "She's been here almost every day, sometimes twice a day. Oh, and she placed something under your bed too! And--"

Cyrus' mouth was suddenly covered by a water hand that appeared out of nowhere, and he quickly nodded at Princess Cecile when he saw the glare that she was shooting at him. When Cecile released him from her spell, he quickly added, "And she even kissed you!!!"

He then quickly clamped his mouth shut and lay down next to Juin, as if challenging the princess to attack him so close to Juin.

Juin chuckled and waved a hand nonchalantly when he felt the slight change in the air as well as the princess' aura. "I'm sorry… My pet is still wild in nature and requires some taming. Please forgive him…"

He then searched under his pillow and found the thing that she left behind. It was the golden beetle.

"This…"

Princess Cecile blushed and said, "I thought you needed the luck more than me. If you have kept it to yourself, you would have won easily…"

Juin looked at the beetle for a few seconds before smiling at Cecile again. He then signaled her to give him her hand, and when she did, he placed the bug on her hand and said, "I think I have been quite lucky this year, and I want to carve out my own luck instead of relying on a bug charm. In any case, you need this more than me…"

Even though he was also an orphan, the fact that he never knew his parents meant that it affected him less than how it affected Cecile. Furthermore, Cecile lost her family members and friends consecutively and was now completely alone.

Perhaps it was because of that, or perhaps he found a kindred soul in this princess who reminded him of the pre-Lucifer him, but no matter what and no matter whether or not the legend was real, he wanted her to have all the luck that she could get.

"But…"

"Keep it," Juin said with a smile. His expressions changed slightly, and he parted his lips, as if he wanted to say something. But when he heard footsteps approaching, he immediately stopped himself and looked at the door.

The head doctor who was responsible for him, Dr. Wren, walked in with a male nurse. They nodded at Princess Cecile and greeted her before going to Juin.

Everyone else stood at the side quietly as he checked on Juin's body. Once he was done, he nodded and asked, "How are you feeling?"

"A bit tired… and a little thirsty and hungry, but otherwise, I feel… oddly great."

The doctor nodded as he signaled the male nurse to take notes. He then said, "Your body is in great condition. You know, normally, muscles don't grow while one is in a comatose state, but it looks like your body is a special case…"

"I'm… special?" Juin chuckled wryly.

"Not that special actually," the doctor said with a smile. "Just slightly. After all, it's not unheard of among the supernatural creatures. There are some creatures out there who could sleep for years while their muscles continue to grow. It's just that I didn't expect it from a human. However, I heard from President Presley of your… condition, so I suppose that affects your physical body in some way."

Juin merely shrugged.

Suddenly, he noticed a change in the environment, and he watched as the unique water-air quickly filled the environment.

"Ah, it looks like Luca has caught news of this," Tucker said once everything calmed down again. "I guess I should thank him. I don't think you are going to do it. Stay here and get rested… Or go out and fool around. Anyway, I need some alone time now that you are awake."

Juin nodded. After Tucker left, Dr. Wren did a few tests before declaring him fully healthy.

"Just one last test. Try taking a walk around the room," Dr. Wren said as he stood aside, giving room for Juin to move about.

Juin obeyed and slowly got out of his bed, using Cyrus as a crutch. Once he was sure that he would not fall down, he let go of Cyrus and walked around by himself.

It felt weird at first since he wasn't used to the difference in height and view. He felt that his feet were farther away from what he could remember.

"I feel… normal, really… Actually…" He looked up at the ceiling before jumping up.

PAP!

"Argh…" He g.r.o.a.n.e.d in embarrassment as he stood up with a slightly blushed face. Scratching the back of his head, he muttered, "I feel better than usual, but I don't feel like I own this body. It's like I'm in someone else's body."

The doctor smiled as the nurse noted down Juin's remark. "That's normal, given how you experience quite a growth spurt. You should experience some depth confusion as well, but I expect that it would be gone in a few days, once you get used to your body."

Juin nodded. "Can I go out for a walk?"

"Sure, just not too far, in case something happens." The doctor then looked at the princess and said, "Princess Cecile, the king is asking for your presence."
