Juin glanced down at him coldly. He would actually prefer to stay out of this, but as they were walking away, Cyrus asked him a question, "If you were being treated like that, would you want others to stay out of it?"

That question hit a nerve, and he soon found himself walking back toward the building.

He took a quick glance at Romi before saying to the slave trader, "Sell these slaves to those fine gentlemen there, at half price."

"What?!" the slave trader gasped. "No, that's-- ARGH!!!"

The pain in his leg grew ten times, and he quickly nodded. "Yes, sir! Whatever you want!"

Romi nodded at Juin as appreciation. He then looked at Lem, who walked forward with a few doc.u.ments that he took out from his bag.

After the signatures were exchanged and the slaves were sold, Juin and Cyrus were already gone.

"Those two…" Romi thought to himself. When they walked away from the building with the new slaves, he then looked at Lem and asked in a low voice, "Is he the boy that she talked about previously?"

Lem nodded, clearly understood who he meant by "she". "I think so…"

"He doesn't… look like a boy. And he's a lot bigger than what she mentioned."

Lem agreed as well. "But the description was correct. Black hair, black eyes, always have a kid tagging next to him. And I know that kid. One of the clients painted him out in a battle scene and showed it to me. He definitely looked like the one I saw in the painting."

Upon hearing him, Romi frowned slightly. With his hands behind his back, he wondered if this boy actually knew about what they wanted to do. A while back, the princess, who was under tight watch by Crown Prince Renaud, managed to send an encrypted message to him to let him know that the runner-up of the Elimination Battle knew about their plan.

"Should we get rid of him?" Romi thought to himself as he smiled at some of the female citizens, who were stealing glances at him.

Meanwhile, after watching the slave trader signed off on the first doc.u.ment, Juin and Cyrus strolled back to the palace leisurely, and Cyrus' mood was significantly better after that short fight.

He was feeling more like himself, especially now that he was away from Presley, that he kept doing flips and handstands while walking.

And while doing one of the handstands, the young beast looked at Juin and asked, "Why did you change your mind?"

"They are going to be safe with those two men…" Juin said as he looked down at the young beast's eyes while walking.

He did not explain further. Truth was, he recognized those two. Even though he had only seen them for less than a split second from back when he was at the brothel, he remembered their faces clearly.

While Cyrus suddenly flipped back onto his foot and jogged a distance ahead, Juin thought to himself, "If they are involved in the rebellion, they would either give those slaves a chance to fight for their freedom or keep them safe. Either way, they would be safe from others. I have done more than what I should."

As he jogged up to Cyrus, Juin whispered, "Lucifer!"

"..."

"Lucifer!"

"..."

"Are you still mad at me?"

"..."

Juin sighed and decided to talk to him later. He quickly caught up to Cyrus, and at the same time, he saw Lann and Luca.

He wanted to call out, but when he saw Luca's pale expression, he stopped himself.

Cyrus stared at Luca for a while before saying in a low voice, "I think his soul power is badly injured."

"What?"

"I overheard one of Tucker and Lann's conversations. It was when you were still in a critical condition. That evil man said that Luca was fine and that he just needed rest."

"What happened to him?"

"He was bleeding out quite badly, but that man said that his body was physically fine, so he spent his resources saving you… It's a little fairy thing…" Cyrus said, touching the ear stud that Tucker made for him using the ball that was made from the fairy ash.

"I know…"

With a brow raised, Cyrus asked curiously, "Wait, what?"

"Focus, Cyrus. What happened?" Juin asked, looking at Cyrus with a frown.

Cyrus thought for a while before continuing, "Luca did heal, but it took him longer than expected. And I'm not sure if this is true, but from what I heard, Luca seems to have trouble with using his soul power above a certain level. Something about it being blocked."

"Blocked?" Juin frowned as he tried to recall the event of that day. He clearly remembered falling from a great height as well as the pain that followed when he hit the ground. It was so vivid that he subconsciously touched his ribs, as if he could still feel the intense pain that spread throughout his body that day.

He remembered before he fully passed out and after he uttered the word "Surrender", he saw Luca lying c.h.e.s.t down not far away from him, and at that time, he thought he saw wrongly when he saw the blood on Luca's face…

But it looked like Luca was really injured as well.

"But how?" Juin mumbled. "Lucifer didn't manage to hit him, did he?"

Before he could think further, he felt a killing aura and quickly looked up, only to see Luca darting toward him at an incredible speed.

After a blink of an eye, Luca's fist was already an inch away from his face.

Juin felt a push on his waist and landed on the ground while Luca landed on the ground where Juin was standing earlier.

"What the hell!" Juin yelled at Luca as Cyrus stood in an offensive position in between them. "What did I do this time!"

"What. The. F*CK. Did. You. Do. To. Me!!!" Luca spatted as he released a murderous intent while stepping closer toward Juin.
