"I don't even know what you are talking about!" Juin snapped, pushing Cyrus aside, as he stepped forth and faced the angry Luca. "Tell me clearly!"

His action did not go unnoticed by Cyrus, who felt that Juin had slightly changed ever since he woke up. At the very least, the Juin he knew would have never been so bold as to step up to Luca like that. On the other hand, Juin had never backed down from a verbal fight with Luca.

"Maybe my sense is wrong?" Cyrus thought as he watched those two from one side.

"Luca!" Lann arrived at the moment and placed a hand on Luca's shoulder to stop him. "It's not Juin's fault."

"This happens after the fight," Luca hissed as he tried to move, but Lann's grip on him stopped him. "Master!"

He was considerably upset. Ever since he woke up from the battle, his body felt uncomfortable. In order not to worry her, he had never mentioned it to his master, but other than unable to use his soul power like before, he also felt that there was something lingering in his body; something that seemed to want to devour him the moment his guard was done.

"The battle was done honorably…" Lann said with a stern expression. Yet she kept her eyes on Juin as she added, "Right?"

It was obvious to Juin that Lann did not really believe her words. Perhaps she too felt that Juin had done something to Luca.

"Err… R-right," Juin stuttered, feeling somewhat wronged. He did not even know what had happened after he handed over the control of the body to Lucifer.

"Did Lucifer do something to Luca?" Juin thought, yet that did not seem like Lucifer. The demon king was so arrogant that he would have never done anything in the dark. He would have preferred to torture his enemy openly.

"Argh!" Luca roared so suddenly that he startled everyone there. He then glared at Juin, and with his fists bunched tightly, he hissed, "This is not over! I know it's you!"

With one last death glare, he then ran off quickly before his temper got the better of him.

"I'm sorry, Juin…" Lann said apologetically. She was about to rush off when she thought of something and looked at Juin. "By the way, Juin, you, Luca, and Wolfe would be in a team to fight against Crown Prince Renaud. I thought that you might want to know before the announcement."

"Huh?" Juin blinked, confused.

"Remember, before the Elimination Battle, His Majesty made an announcement that the top 3 winners would be able to spar with Crown Prince Renaud? Previously, because you were unconscious, the king talked to President Presley, Tucker, Wolfe's father, and me about it. At that time, Roman felt that his son had no right to fight for the rewards, so he withdrew Wolfe's right of participation…"

She then chuckled and shook her head at the annoyed expression of Wolfe's father, Roman Sterling, that day. "And we agreed that if you were unable to wake up in time, Luca will be the default winner. But now that you are awake before the time to leave, Presley said that we should keep going on. Since Roman is not here, Presley said that Wolfe can join you guys in the team, if he's not busy reading those questionable books of his."

Juin thought for a while before nodding slowly.

"Anyway, if you think you are not up for it yet, then you have to tell Presley quickly. We only have a few days left, and the king has the intention to make the announcement in the next two days."

She then smiled and said with a gentle tone, "I'm really glad that you are finally awake, Juin."

"Thank you, Ms. Lann…" Juin replied with a smile. He then watched Lann run off to go after her student. After they were gone, Juin looked at Cyrus and asked, "So, should I?"

"Do you think you are strong enough?" Cyrus asked back, giving him a look that said "I won't bet on you".

Juin frowned. "If I'm not wrong, the rewards are gold and… a bead? Arcon Water Bead?"

Tucker had told him of the significance of the bead before, but…

"Do I need the bead?" he mumbled.

"Don't forget about Wolfe. You and Luca might still be weak from your previous fight, but Wolfe has plenty of time to get better," Cyrus pointed out as they continued to walk back to the palace. "And with Luca's condition unknown, I think your biggest obstacle would be the nerd."

He then thought for a while and said, "But at least you don't have to worry about him killing you."

Juin nodded. After all, this battle would be the three of them fighting against Crown Prince Renaud instead of each other. And Wolfe seemed to be somewhat… protective toward him? At least he was one of the few people who had never shown any form of hostility toward him.

"A beast, a Wind Elementalist, and me, a Flame user…" He thought for a while before saying, "Alright, let's go tell Presley that--"

When he saw Cyrus' fearful face, he quickly changed his words. "I'll go tell Presley that I will join the battle, as well as thank him for his help. As for you, don't run around. Go back to Tucker."

Cyrus quickly ran off after sticking his tongue out at Juin.

A while later, Juin stood outside the door to the main hall. According to the guards he asked along the way, apparently, there was an important matter going on, and Presley was called by the king for a consultation.

After a long time, Juin heard footsteps coming from inside the hall and quickly looked alert. He walked slightly away from the door so as to give way to whoever it was that was about to come out, and when the door was opened, he heard a child's crying voice.

"Your Majesty, Your Majesty! There must be a mistake! Please investigate thoroughly before you punish Princess Cecile! I'm sure there must be a mistake!"

"Huh?" Juin mumbled to himself, "This crying voice… Arthur?"

He leaned to the side and glanced into the hall, upon which he saw the king, who was standing in the middle of the hall. Little Arthur was kowtowing nearby. His little forehead made a loud bump every time he did so.

Bump!

Bump!

Bump!

"What's going on?" Juin frowned, feeling uncomfortable with what he was seeing yet couldn't go forward and stop the boy from cracking his forehead open on the floor.

Behind the king, he could see four male guards with their swords pointed at someone who was hidden behind the king.

"Who's that?" Juin wondered.

"Hummph!" The king turned around.

"Cecile!" Juin gasped a little too loudly.

The king turned and saw Juin. His eyes widened slightly, but he quickly turned around and said sternly, "Guards! Take the traitor away! Lock her up until I decide on the punishment! And send this order out; anyone who is found to be involved in this traitorous action will be heavily punished!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" the guards said loudly.

Juin then watched as the guards dragged Princess Cecile out of the hall. Their eyes met for about a second before Cecile looked away. She was then taken away.

"Your Majesty…" Juin said in disbelief, "What's going on? Princess Cecile?" She'sSh
