"She has been found to be colluding with our worst enemy, the Wisterions. We found letters from the king of Wisterian, and the content of the letters suggested that Cecile has been sending confidential army information as well as our defense system to them," the king said in an anger tone and a disappointed expression. He then sighed and said, "I know the girl is still young and upset about the loss of her brother, but how could she betray our country like that?"

He then shook his head dramatically as he mumbled loud enough for everyone to hear, "I have always believed in her despite her origin, but this…"

His remark caused some of the guards to glance at each other, and the two that were blocking Arthur glanced down at the boy with a disdainful gaze.

"Your Majesty, Her Highness would never do something like that! Please let her go!" Arthur cried as he continued to kowtow to the king. His forehead was already badly bruised and blood was even trickling down from it.

Hearing him, the king glared at the boy. "Take the... thing away."

He then turned around as if he could not bear to see the boy. King Frederic continued coldly without so much of a glance at the pleading boy, "Keep him away from others until I know what to do with him."

"No, Your Majesty, please--" Arthur wanted to beg more, but one of the guards carried him up and muffled his voice with his hand as he dragged the boy out of the hall.

Meanwhile, the king's expression softened as he smiled at Juin. "I'm sorry you have to see that, but what are you doing here?"

"I…" Juin watched from the corner of his eyes as the guard dragged Arthur out roughly and said, "I came to find the president."

"He was here earlier, but he left through my private door a few minutes ago."

"He left?"

The king nodded. "A maid came in to report that you are on the way back, so I think he went to look for you. If you go in this direction…"

He pointed at a door that was next to the throne and said, "Go through that door. If you are fast enough, you should still be able to catch him."

Juin nodded politely. He took a step toward the door before turning back to look at the king. "Your Majesty… Cecile, she…"

"Juin." The king smiled, but at the same time, he was exerting pressure on Juin through his emotionless eyes. "As much as I am impressed by your strength, this is a matter of national security, and she is my niece… I can tell that there's something between you kids, but I would advise you not to mingle too much with her. My niece… She's not good for you. If you like, I can introduce you to my daughter."

Juin gulped. Just from the king's aura alone, he could feel the power that was coursing through the man's body, and it was definitely above his.

He then quickly smiled and said politely, "I'm sure Princess Iris is a wonderful young woman, Your Majesty, but you have gotten it wrong. There's nothing between me and Princess Cecile. My heart has already been taken."

He then bowed and turned around, walking straight for the door before the king could even say anything else.

As he walked quickly, Juin thought, "Cecile colluded with the enemy? I don't know much about her, but she doesn't seem like a stupid woman to be caught that easily. This is a princess who used a brothel and promiscuity to cover her real activities…"

He then mumbled, "Lucifer, what do you think?"

"..."

"Are you still mad at me?" Juin sighed. "Come on…"

"..."

"Fine…" Juin g.r.o.a.n.e.d and shook his head in defeat. "I'm sorry, alright? I'm sorry, Lucifer. Can you please talk to me?"

"..."

"Come on! You--" Juin was about to continue when he saw a few guards who were posted on the hallway look over at him with curious gazes. He then sighed and quickly walked on, hoping to talk to Presley as soon as possible.

However, at one point, he arrived at the end of the path where it split into two different directions. After asking a maid nearby, he then walked into the left path.

"Are you trying to kill him?!"

"Tucker?" Juin thought as he slowed down his steps. He inched closer to the wall, quietly, until he was near the origin of the sound. He then leaned against the wall as he eavesdropped on the people arguing.

"He won't die from this. He woke up, didn't he?" a charming voice replied. It was a voice that could send shivers down the spines of weaker men and women, albeit with different effects.

"Presley?" Juin recognized the voice immediately.

"He just woke up a few hours ago! And you want him to fight against Renaud, one of the strongest in Terre D'eau? What if he gets injured again?" Tucker said in a frustrated tone as he paced around. "We still don't know the extent of his injury."

"If," Presley pressed on the word "if" as he said, "he's even injured. Besides, he's strong enough. You should believe in your student… Or do you not believe in him at all? Despite all your care for him. You were fine with it previously, so what has changed?"

"Do not twist my word, Presley… And you know clearly what has changed," Tucker hissed. Even though he said otherwise, Juin's physical changes did scare him slightly. The boy basically grew from a barely fit teenager to a fit young man right in front of him while being in a comatose state.

And Tucker wasn't sure if there was other changes, namely the changes in Juin's soul power. If he could, he would want to have a few days to test Juin out first before throwing him out into another battle.

"Not only Juin, but Luca as well," Tucker said. "You knew for a fact that he hasn't fully recovered from his backlash, and you want him to go up against Renaud now? Luca and Juin are in the first team for the Battle! What if they can't recover on time?"

King Adam even remarked that Renaud would one day surpass all the previous kings and that it was a shame that he wasn't his son.

And based on what Tucker saw when Renaud stopped the fight between his younger sister and Cecile, it was clear that Renaud had improved leaps and bounds since the last time he saw him. As such, he did not feel confident at all to let Juin fight against him, not when he knew nothing about Juin's body condition.

"Renaud will go easy on them. This is just a friendly spar, and Lann has already agreed to it," Presley said with a dismissive tone. "Besides, you should consider asking Juin. I'm sure he has an opinion in this. Right, Juin?"

He then looked over to where Juin was hiding.
