Juin gulped, slapped his cheeks a few times, before smiling and walking out from where he was hiding.

"Good evening, President Presley," he said politely.

"How are you feeling now?" Presley asked as he looked at Juin's newly-developed body. When he heard about it from the attending doctor, Presley barely showed any reaction, but seeing the young teenager who now sported a young man's body, one that was almost as tall as him, he could not help but raise his eyebrows slightly.

"Just need to get used to the sudden growth spurt," Juin replied politely as he gave a quick glance to his feet. "I've been walking around a little. Other than a little disoriented at times, I think I feel pretty good."

"Good to hear that," Presley said with his usual unassuming smile. "You just woke up from your coma. Even though it's only a short two weeks and we had done everything we could to stop your muscle from atrophy, you still need to be careful. Stay within the accommodation or the palace. If you must go out, take someone with you in case you faint or something."

Not that they actually needed to do much. Even though they feared atrophy might set in, but the opposite happened instead. Juin's muscle grew while he was in a coma, which was baffling, to say the least.

Juin nodded.

Presley then turned his body to face Juin fully, and with his hands behind his back, he asked, "So, you heard our conversation. What do you think?"

Juin looked at his teacher, who shook his head, and then at President Presley. He then nodded. "I think… I can fight."

"Juin!" Tucker frowned. "This is not a game!"

"Mr. Tucker, thank you for trying to protect me, but I want to get as much fighting experience as I can before the Battle. Fighting against opponents with different powers would help me grow faster than anything else," Juin explained with a reassuring smile. "And I think that unlike my other opponents so far, Renaud won't try to kill me.

Defeated, Tucker could only sigh and massage his glabella. "Up to you…" He then walked away while mumbling something about "stupid boy, don't expect me to use my resources on you anymore".

After he left, Presley chuckled and looked at Juin. "Tucker is just a worrywart."

"He's a good teacher. I don't usually get a caring one like him." Juin smiled, thinking about his other teachers, most of which treated him with disdain or as if he were invisible. He then looked at Presley and said, "I actually wanted to talk to you about the battle with Renaud."

Presley nodded, and he signaled them to walk before saying, "What do you want to talk about?"

"How strong is Renaud?" Juin asked straightforwardly. "I mean, I have seen him fought before, but that's for less than a minute. In battles, how strong could he be if he went all in?"

"I suppose there's no foul play by telling you." Presley smiled; his eyes showing some sort of amus.e.m.e.nt in them.

As he walked with his hands behind his back, he said, "Ever since he was born, Renaud has been trained to be the next General D'eau, that's the term for the highest-ranking commander below the monarch. And for a good reason too. While Atlanteans are generally gifted with water manipulation ability, he's far beyond them. As a kid, he could already manipulate a huge amount of water and create new spells, and when he and Princess Cecile were attacked by assassins, he was quick-witted enough to fight back and protect the princess.

"For that, he was knighted as the Brave Knight of Terre D'eau. It was only because of his uncle and cousin's untimely demise that his title changed to Crown Prince Renaud and that people have mostly forgotten his previous contribution. Even so, he has never stopped receiving his training.

"And now, according to his father, he's the second strongest man in Terre D'eau, surpassing all his teachers and quickly catching up to his father. If I have to compare, I'd say he's almost similar to Lann and Tucker in terms of strength."

Hearing that, Juin gulped subconsciously. "So… There's no way of defeating him…"

Presley smiled. "This sparring session is not about winning. It's for you kids to learn how to use your wit and ability to cooperate. I have seen your battle with Luca. If you guys can cooperate, you have a chance of winning against Crown Prince Renaud."

Juin gave him a wry look. "Cooperate? Me and that bloodthirsty guy?" he thought before rolling his eyes slightly. He then looked away, and after a short walk in silence, he said, "President Presley, I heard that Cecile--"

"I think it's best that you don't intervene in matters that are beyond your control," Presley said with a smile. He suddenly came to a stop and placed a hand on Juin's shoulder. "Focus on yourself. Get stronger first before you try to protect someone else. Anyway, I have something that I need to attend to. The details and date of the battle have been set, and since you have already agreed to it, I'll let the king know so that we can proceed with the formal announcement ASAP. After all, the portal is closing soon and we must leave by then or we will be stuck here for a while."

"The portal is closing?" Juin's eyes widened slightly upon hearing this.

Presley nodded. "Tucker didn't tell you? The portal that links Earth to Atlantis will only be open for a few weeks every few years."

He then turned and walked in the direction that would lead him out of the palace, whereas Juin just stood there with a complicated expression.

"I really can't help?" Juin thought to himself as he watched Presley disappearing back. Even if he wanted to, he had doubts that he would succeed, not if the portal was about to close soon.

"I'm sorry, sir, but this is off limit," said one of the two guards who were guarding the main door to the Royal Prison.

"Please? I just want to talk to the princess," Juin said with a smile. He then lifted a basket and said, "I brought you guys some snacks, and this won't take long. At most 10 minutes."

The guards looked at the basket that was filled with Terre D'eau's famous delicacy, but they quickly shook their heads.

"Sorry, sir. This is the order of His Majesty."

"Let him in."

A low smooth voice came from a hidden corner.

"Who?!" The guards immediately got into an offensive position as they faced the intruder.

But when the intruder walked out from the darkness, they immediately put down their spears and bowed to him.

"Your Highness!"

Crown Prince Renaud waved his hand to dismiss the formality. He then glanced at Juin for a moment before saying to the guards, "I want to visit my cousin. Open the door."

The guards glanced at each other, and one of them, the taller one, said, "But His Majesty…"

"I will deal with my father myself," Crown Prince Renaud said. "And I'm the Crown Prince of this country. If my cousin has indeed done the crime that she is being accused of, I won't let it go. I just want to talk to her."

"This…" The guards glanced at each other, and after a few seconds of communicating with their eyes, they stepped aside and opened the door. "Your Highness, please go in."

Crown Prince Renaud then looked at Juin and said, "You, come with me."
