The megatsunami was getting closer, and everyone had barely evacuated the city when the megatsunami arrived and hit everything on the path. The entire city was covered in dust and debris as the megatsunami hit the palace.

BAM!!!

The palace shook, but it did not break at all.

"There's a protective ward," Luca explained when all of them looked back as they flew toward the surface. They were safely out of the protective dome, so the sound caused by the megatsunami within the dome was greatly muffled.

"They would have expected tsunamis and built wards around the houses. If the tsunami happened outside the main dome, it wouldn't have been something to even worry about, but this one came from within the periphery of the dome…"

"It's manmade," Juin mumbled. "Someone used the first explosion to create the megatsunami. But why..."

They then turned and continued to fly up for a few seconds before Juin stopped again.

"What's wrong?" Wolfe asked. His ears had stopped bleeding, but the pain was still evident on his face.

"I didn't see Cyrus…" Juin said in horror. "He wasn't in the groups of evacuees, and I didn't see him with Tucker as well."

"Maybe you missed him. He's smart, he will know what to do. And I'm sure he heard Presley's order as well, so he has probably gone up before everyone else," Wolfe tried to console Juin.

Juin frowned. He had a bad feeling about this. He sent Cyrus to watch outside the royal jail, in case Cecile was right and that King Frederic might do something dishonorable while Renaud was stuck in the friendly battle. And he knew that Cyrus was smart, so he probably found a reason to leave the battle stage earlier without alerting anyone.

But he wasn't sure if Cyrus would have left Arconia without meeting with him first.

"Let's just go to the surface first," Luca said. "Speculating is a waste of time…"

"Luca's right," Wolfe said to Juin. "He might have already gone up before everyone else. The explosion earlier is painful even for someone who is older like me. To him, as a pet, the sound from the explosion would be excruciating. He would have looked for a way to escape from the sound."

Juin hesitated for a moment before nodding. He then told himself that Cyrus would be fine before following behind Wolfe.

When they came down to Arconia on the first day, it took them 3 hours because they took their own sweet time. But when they moved at full speed, burning some of their soul power reserves to give themselves a speed boost, it only took them less than 1 hour to get to the surface.

They saw a lot of people waiting at the surface. Ignoring the Atlanteans that were standing on the platform, they went to regroup with the Order.

"Thank god you guys are finally here!" Lann said as she hugged Luca. "Are you hurt?"

"No, Master, I'm fine!" Luca said with a smile.

"Juin!" Tucker went to Juin and asked, "Where the hell were you?!"

"We had to make sure that everyone had left…" Juin said. He then looked around as he said, "Anyway, did you see Cyrus?"

"Isn't he with you?" Tucker asked. When he saw Juin's pale face, he immediately understood what had happened. "Sh*t…"

"I need to go find him!" Juin snapped as he turned around, but before he could leave, he felt something binding his body.

It was a purple whip.

"Luca!" Juin snapped as he glared at Luca. "Let me go!"

Ignoring him, Luca gave the whip to Tucker and said, "Control him. We don't have enough time for his bullsh*t."

Tucker nodded. "Thank you."

He then looked at Juin and said, "I'm sorry, but we have to leave soon."

He then pointed at the portal and said in a hurried tone, "The portal has gone unstable for some reason. Someone must have cast a spell on it, and none of us has any method to stop it!"

Juin looked at the portal. Tucker was right; the portal was a lot smaller than before.

"But Cyrus…"

"Oh, Cyrus?" Lann suddenly said. She smiled and said, "I saw him earlier. He went through the portal with Caelian just now…"

"Really, Ms. Lann?" Juin asked with a brow raised. "Is there anyone else with him?"

"Yeah… He's with Caelian and Caelian's guardian just now." Lann nodded. "I told him that I would be waiting for you, Wolfe, and Luca, so I told him to go first."

Juin looked at Tucker, and the latter shrugged. "I didn't see him, but I arrived later than Lann…"

"Fine…" Juin sighed in relief. He then looked at Tucker and sighed. "Can you release me now?"

Tucker gave the handle of the whip back to Luca, who then released Juin.

"Let's go now…"

"Where's President Presley?" Wolfe suddenly said. "Did he leave without us?"

That did not seem like something that a president would do.

"Come to think of it…" Tucker scratched the back of his head. "I didn't see him at all…"

"Yeah…" Lann frowned slightly. She then looked behind Tucker and said, "Oh, there's the man!"

"Sorry, I'm late," President Presley said when he arrived in front of them. "I left an important artifact in the palace and had to go to grab it."

He then did a headcount and checked with Lann on the people who had gone ahead first. "There's only us left."

Looking at the portal that was getting uncomfortably small, he then said, "Let's go now."

Leading the way, he then went into the portal, followed by Lann and Tucker.

Luca and Wolfe were about to go in when they felt that something was wrong. When they turned around, they saw that Juin had gone back into the sea.

"What the hell is wrong with him?!" Luca snapped as he facepalmed.

"We can't just leave him!" Wolfe said as he looked at the portal and back at Juin's slowly disappearing back.

Luca thought for a moment before saying, "Why not?"

"Luca!"

"I can't give up my life and my goal just for him!" Luca said as he went closer to the portal, but before he went in, he turned around, looking at Wolfe. "Are you coming?"

"No!"

"He's not even that close to you!"

"I can't leave him!" Wolfe said as he rushed down toward the sea as well.

"You idiot!" Luca yelled after him. "You are weak here!"

Luca was right. Of the three of them, Wolfe, being a werewolf that could not turn, was the weakest and completely out of his element.

He wanted to leave them to their fate. After all, he knew that if the portal closed, he would be missing a huge opportunity.

But when he was right in front of the portal, looking at it, he could not take the next step to go through.

"A leader never abandons his people…"

Lann's voice reverberated in his mind. That was what she told him after he woke up from his long sleep following the battle with Juin.

Cursing loudly, and after some hesitation, he clenched his fists and went after them.
