The Crown Prince nodded.

"Princess Cecile is indeed shrewd enough to be a queen. It's too bad that her family is destroyed in such a manner," Crown Prince Warwick said with a sigh. "She could have been a queen in her own rights or supported her brother as an advisor. Either way, I sincerely believe that Terre D'eau would have been more prosperous under her watch."

He then shrugged. "But her family lost the internal battles…"

"So you took this chance to manipulate your way in…" Luca said with a brow raised.

"Well, someone has to claim this fallen kingdom… Or about-to-fall kingdom," Crown Prince Warwick said innocently. "Why not me?"

The boys looked at him, and they all had one thought. "This guy's confidence level is off the charts!"

"But how did you manage to force the portal to close earlier than usual?" Juin asked.

"I have my ways," Crown Prince Warrick said with a cryptic smile. He then yawned and quickly added on, "I need to take my beauty sleep. A pretty face such as mine requires plenty of rest. I will give you guys two hours to rest and think about my proposal. Of course, as you can understand, I can't let you guys out of this library. If you intend to fight your way out, just know that my entire team of Water Hunters is stationed outside the library. I know that you think you are stronger than them since you defeated Shawn earlier, but I have to tell you this. I told Shawn to only use, at most, 50% of his true strength."

"What…" Juin glanced at Master Shawn, who remained expressionless.

The Crown Prince continued, "Even if you think that you can fight against a few of them, let me remind you that I have an army outside and you guys only have… 3 teenagers and 1 kid. So… Do the math."

He then patted the shoulders of Juin and Luca, nodded at Wolfe, before walking out with Master Shawn, who gave them an expressionless nod as he walked past them.

After they left, Luca activated a Silence spell that covered a small area. "What do you guys think?"

"We don't really have a choice, right?" Wolfe said as he placed Cyrus down on the study table. "It's not like we know how to get back, so we are kind of at that guy's mercy."

"I don't like how he knows more than us…" Luca sighed. He then glanced at Juin and mumbled, "If only you are less predictable…"

When Juin glared at him, Wolfe immediately stepped in and said, "This is not the time for a fight now. You saw what happened. Internal strife between family members has cost this kingdom dearly. Do you guys want to follow their steps?"

Hearing him, Juin and Luca both called a truce temporarily. There was no point getting into a verbal fight now.

"So, what are you going to do?" Wolfe asked as he looked at Juin with a worried gaze. "I feel like, this is your decision to make. Your life will be at stake, so I can understand if you don't want to go."

Juin sighed as he leaned against the study table. C.a.r.e.s.sing Cyrus' fluffy blonde hair, he thought for a while before shrugging. "I kind of don't have a choice here, do I? It's either I go and fight for a chance for us to go back, or stay and be nagged by that guy over there for the rest of my natural life."

"You can just ignore Luca," Wolfe said, avoiding Luca's sharp gaze. "Make your own decision."

When Juin looked at Wolfe, the latter added, "This is your life. You are no longer an orphan who has to wait for people to make your decisions for you. Let's take a short break and recuperate our soul power reserve. Maybe a little quiet time will help you think better."

All of them agreed, and they all took turns to fall into a deep sleep where they could recuperate in their Soul Dimension. Juin was to take the first watch.

After the two had fallen asleep, he turned around and looked at a corner of one of the bookcases. He then made a signal with his hand and whispered, "Come here…"

A little ghost boy popped out from behind the bookcase and looked at his feet shyly. When he lifted his eyes a little and saw Juin smile at him, he then slowly walked over to him.

"What are you doing here…" Juin said when the kid was in front of him. The kid was in a more solid form when he was nearer to him than when he saw him by the bookcase, where he was almost a see-through being. "Tomas."

Tomas sighed and said in his prepubescent voice, "You failed. Sissy didn't give up her plan…"

"She loves you too much…" Juin said as he reached out. He hesitated for a while before slowly placing his hand on Tomas' shoulder. To his surprise, Tomas felt solid under his hand.

But Tomas himself did not notice it. He merely sighed and jumped up onto the table. Looking down at Juin, he then folded his arms and said, "You should have tried your best to stop her…"

Without waiting for an answer, he then continued, "But then again… Sissy is too smart for a young, inexperienced boy like you."

Juin's eyebrows twitched slightly at the thinly-veiled insult, but he decided to be the bigger man. After all, the kid had died in a painful manner.

"So…" Juin hesitated for a bit before asking in a soft voice, "Is what Warrick said true? King Frederic used this portal to kill your parents?"

The boy sighed and nodded.

A few years back, when King Adam and his queen were away on a trip, Tomas was sleeping in his room when he heard a rustle.

"Who's there?" he asked sleepily without even opening his eyes.

Suddenly, he felt someone c.a.r.e.s.sing his forehead.

"It's me, my dear nephew…"

Opening one eye, Tomas saw his uncle sitting by his bed and smiling down at him in the darkness.

"Royal Uncle, what's wrong?" Tomas asked, attempting to sit up so that he could face his uncle appropriately in a manner that befitted a crown prince. However, when he tried to do so, his uncle put his hand on his shoulder and made him lie back on his stomach.

As he gently c.a.r.e.s.sed his nephew's back, which made the young boy yawn, Prince Frederic said, "I'm just here to have a look at you, my beautiful nephew… Go back to sleep…"

Back to the present,

"After my parents' death, I was too deep in pain and didn't remember that visit. And I fell into a really bad sickness. When I was finally healed, I was immediately coronated, and I had to learn how to be a king and deal with many national affairs. Cecile tried her best to help, but she was still a young woman too…" With his hands clasped behind his back, the little king slowly paced around in front of Juin.
