The little king's face was serious and stern, unlike those of his peers. He was deep in thought for a while before saying, "I didn't pay much attention to it at that time… But when I finally had some time to think, I realized that the day my uncle came to me on the same night that my parents were murdered…"

He then chuckled sadly. "Of course, I didn't have any proof at that time, so I didn't tell anyone. Besides, he was my uncle. How could I suspect him? Furthermore, what was important then was to solidify my position as a king. Given my age, you have no idea how many people wanted to either replace me or control me. One night, while I was studying here, I was bored and decided to look at all the hidden items here…"

He then looked at the spell diagram on the floor and said, "And I found traces of someone using this spell diagram recently. Which was odd since my father said this shouldn't be used unless it's absolutely necessary."

"Why?" Juin asked curiously, looking at the complicated spell diagram.

"Because this diagram requires the sacrifice of one's life force…"

Juin frowned. "Yours?"

"This is a spell that is used to ensure the safety of the royal heirs. And the creator, my ancestor, feels that a king must never abandon his heir and his people, and since only the kings and their first heirs would know, so to activate it, it requires the sacrificial of the kings' life forces, or someone with our bloodline. My uncle would never harm his own children, and my sister was old enough to suspect things…"

"So he chose you?"

"I was the best choice…" The little king nodded. His hands subconsciously formed into fists as he gritted, "I was young, so even if it took 10-20 years of my lifespan away, no one would know."

"No one?" Juin thought. He thought about the boy's words. Tomas mentioned earlier that he fell badly sick, and Juin wondered if Cecile had made the connection and if that was why she was so sure that her uncle was the one who committed the heinous crimes.

Looking at Tomas, Juin said, "Your sister said you were poison to… death."

"I was getting closer to the truth… Too close, yet at a wrong time." The little king sighed. His youthful-looking face seemed tired. Even in death, he was unable to rest peacefully. "I shouldn't have done anything, not even trying to investigate. Unfortunately, as I slowly lost those who I could trust, the easier it was for him to suspect me. Eventually, he acted on his plan after sending me away from the palace. Maybe he found something out, or he wanted to prevent me from talking at all… But..."

He then touched his throat as he remembered the pain that he felt on his deathbed, the loneliness of being separated from his family, of being unable to see his sister for one last time. His feature distorted slightly, turning more and more translucent as he relived his last moments.

Purplish veins peeked out of his clothes, forming a sharp contrast with his pale skin as they climbed up his throat until they reached his cheeks.

He then fell on his knees as he cried, "Help me…"

Juin was startled by his sudden change, and he quickly stood up. The little king looked like he was in unbearable pain as his body stiffened, turning as rigid as rock while his eyes turned completely white.

"Tomas!" Juin placed a hand on Tomas' shoulder, upon which the little king shuddered slightly before looking up, seemingly confused as to what had just happened.

The little king frowned when he realized he was on his knees, and he immediately stood up. "My memories aren't that well… after, you know."

"I want to protect her," Tomas then added. "She's the last heir…"

"She wants revenge…" Juin said with a sigh. "And looking at everything that has happened so far, I don't think she will stop that easily just because I tell her to. Besides, I don't even know where she is now."

"Then help her…" Tomas said. He looked up at Juin and asked with a boyish tone, "You will look for her and help her, right?"

"I…" Juin gulped.

Before he could answer,

"Who are you talking to?"

Juin turned around and saw Luca staring at him with a brow raised. He then looked back, but Tomas was gone. Shaking his head, he sighed and turned to look at Luca. "Nothing, I was just talking to myself."

Luca obviously did not believe him, but he chose not to pursue this matter for now. "Talk to yourself while recuperating. I'm done for now. I'll take watch."

"That's… quick?" Juin said.

"We don't have time for everyone to fully recharge," Luca said as he stood up from the floor. As he dusted his pants with his hands, he said, "Recharge as much as you can."

Glancing over at Wolfe, who was still leaning against a pillar with his eyes closed, Luca then said in a lower volume, "Wolfe's senses were badly hurt, so let him have more time to recuperate."

Juin nodded. He sat on the floor and leaned against a pillar as he quickly cleared his mind. And perhaps he was really exhausted, within seconds, he was out and in his Soul Dimension.

Juin looked around, and he could see something black floating in a distance. With a sigh, he then sat down to meditate while thinking, "Is he for real? I thought he's a 600-year-old demon king, but he's acting like a kid now, holding his grudges for so long."

Yes, the black floating thing in a distance was the pair of pants that Lucifer wore on him; well, the only article of clothing he ever wore despite Juin's complaints.

Juin quickly tried to recharge his soul power reserve as soon as possible while going over the events of the day.
