Michy would turn 18 in less than a month, and the moment would be special for the idol. 18-year-old was a legal age in the country, and Michy wouldn't be considered underage anymore after the birthday.

It wasn't like he wanted to do something naughty after officially being an adult, but Michy was just happy because he would be responsible for himself without his uncle treating him like a kid anymore.

His 18th birthday would be special, but Michy didn't expect that his uncle would prepare a birthday party for him.

Michy grew up in an orphanage before being adopted by his foster parents, and celebrating a birthday was uncommon to him. The orphanage where he grew up was just a humble orphanage without a fixed donor, and it was already hard for the caretakers to cover the daily needs of the residents there.

That was why Michy was used to living in a humble environment. His fate only changed after he was adopted by a rich family under the surname Shelton. His foster parents let him buy and do anything he wanted, and his personality ended up changing as well. He was no longer a poor and skinny boy, but he was an arrogant idol now.

However, Michy still wasn't used to the culture to celebrate a birthday. Before his foster parent died two years ago, they indeed celebrated Michy's birthday every year. But, the parties were only attended by some close relatives, so Michy didn't really see them as real parties.

After his parents left the world, there was no birthday party for him anymore, and he also didn't hope for any party because he wasn't someone who loved partying. He went back to his old self who would pass his birthday without a party, and he was surprised when he heard his uncle suddenly bring up the topic about a party.

"I don't need a birthday party, Uncle," Michy mustered up the courage to argue with his uncle.

"Huh?" His uncle questioned confusedly. "I haven't even told you the details about your birthday party, but you already rejected my idea?"

His uncle was right. The man only mentioned the birthday party, but Michy directly rejected the idea without waiting for further explanation from his uncle.

"I didn't mean to reject your good intention, Uncle," Michy carefully explained. "I just don't want you to spend more money because I know that you've suffered a big loss after I caused a scandal."

Michy still remembered how Felice told him that the company had successfully dealt with his anti-fan. The company sent the man to study abroad, and Michy could guess how much money Willem had spent to solve the issue.

Not to mention the company's effort to force the media to cooperate with them by writing good articles about Michy. All of them were not free for sure.

That was already a big loss for Seventius, and Michy didn't want to add a burden on his uncle's shoulders again. Moreover, he was also not in the mood to celebrate his birthday, and he just wanted to let his birthday pass like any other day.

But, to his dismay, his uncle had a different opinion about this matter.

"Seventius is a big company, and spending that amount of money is not a big deal, Michy," Willem immediately argued. "You are an idol under Seventius, and it's my responsibility to give you a hand when you need it. You indeed did something wrong in the past, but it's all in the past now. You can see the party as a way to celebrate your comeback too."

Michy couldn't understand why Willem could say that spending that amount of money was not a big deal. He felt touched by his uncle's love towards him, but he still felt bad about that.

'We are not even related by blood, but my uncle was so nice to me and didn't leave me alone even when I was facing difficulty,' even if Michy faced a lot of hardship, he still thought that he was lucky because of the existence of his uncle.

"I know what you are thinking, Michy," Willem spoke again. "You are indeed my older brother's adoptive son, and we are not related by blood at all. But, I will still support you even if you're not my older brother's adoptive son. I support you because you have the potential to be the big star in the country, Michy. Please stop thinking that you're a bother for me."

Willem reprimanded him as if the man could read what he was thinking, and Michy was embarrassed because his uncle could see what was on his mind. Perhaps his face was too obvious that his uncle could see what was on his mind.

"And you still remember that Seventius is your adoptive parents' company, right?" Willem once again broke the silence, and Michy widened his blue eyes.

He was touched by his uncle's sincerity, but now he looked nervous after hearing his uncle's words.

"I know about that, Uncle," Michy replied in a darker tone. "However, that matter is not related to me, so we better not talk about that, Uncle."

Michy was no longer looking at his uncle, and he hoped his uncle could read his mood and stop talking about this matter.

"You always said that this matter was not related to you when you're your adoptive parents' only child, Michy," to his dismay, his uncle continued the topic even after he showed his rejection.

Michy decided to raise his head and face his uncle again. "Seventius is my adoptive parents' company, but it has nothing to do with me because I'm only their adoptive son, Uncle!"

Willem shook his head helplessly when he saw his nephew's stubbornness. "You are indeed their adoptive son, but don't you remember the content of your adoptive parents' letter, Michy? You should stop saying that you're unrelated to this company if you care about their last wish."

Willem's voice suddenly sounded grim, and Michy's breath hitched.

The young idol knew that his uncle was upset with him. They both knew the content of the letter left by Michy's adoptive parents, and they had discussed it several times.

However, Michy kept being so stubborn by saying that he wasn't related to that matter, and Willem looked tired when he heard the same response again and again.

Willem looked so bitter because of his nephew's stubbornness, but he chose to relent this time. "You can leave now to prepare for the showcase tomorrow, Michy. We will talk about it again after the showcase is over."

The older man didn't even look at the younger one when he spoke, and Michy felt a pang in his heart. His uncle was indeed angry, but he couldn't do anything about that.

Nodding his head, Michy then got up from his seat and headed to the door. Even if Willem said that they would talk about it again after the showcase was over, Michy knew that his decision would be the same. He wouldn't change his mind even if his uncle kept pressuring him.

Stepping past the door, the idol absentmindedly closed the door again before walking away from the polished wood. He almost bumped into someone because he was fixing his gaze on the floor, but thankfully, he could stop in time.

When he looked up, his azure eyes immediately met with the emerald ones. Those pair of green crystals were so familiar for him, and Michy subconsciously formed a small smile on his face.

"Huh? Why are you suddenly smiling at me? Did something good happen in your uncle's office, Michy?"

Stupid Azren and his innocent thought. Michy was trying to hide his dilemma, but his assistant saw his smile like a happy smile. Azren could be insensitive sometimes, but Michy wasn't annoyed by it today.

"You can call me 'Mich' if you want to," Michy replied in a low tone before starting to walk away from the taller man.

Azren blinked his eyes when he heard the almost whisper statement. The voice was barely audible, and he was worried if it was only his bad hearing's doing. Wanting to get confirmation from the idol, Azren immediately tried to catch up with the silver-haired idol.

"What did you say just now, Michy?" He questioned the idol when they both stopped in front of the elevator.

The left hand inside the pants pocket, the idol used his right hand to press the button beside the elevator door. "Forget it," he simply replied. "If you didn't hear what I just said, then I don't need to repeat myself."

What an arrogant human being! Azren wanted to curse, but he could only do that in his heart because he somehow felt happy because of the arrogant human.

When the elevator door gradually opened, the blonde demon asked the young idol again, "So, it's okay if I call you 'Mich,' right? You won't scold me because of that, right?"
