Chapter 181: FIRE AND DARKNESS

[The place was dark and quiet, and it looked like it was the darkest place he had ever been in his life. He was afraid of darkness, and now when he couldn't even see the slightest light in the mysterious place, he could only stay alert as he tried to analyze where he was.

A man who dressed in clothes made of the finest silk instructed a woman who also dressed in the same finest material, "Go find our son and take him to hide in the underground bunker!"
That was the instruction from the man, but the woman didn't immediately comply with the orders.
"But what about you, Your Majesty?" Instead, the woman questioned the man's decision. "The enemy has entered the palace, and most of the buildings in the palace are on fire now!"
"I'm the king here, so I can't go hide and leave this palace! I will fight until my last breath!"
From the conversation, Michy assumed that the man was the king, and the woman probably was the queen of a kingdom.
The two people stared at each other before the queen relented, "I understand, Your Majesty. I will take our son to hide."
The king finally smiled before giving his last order, "Don't ever blame our son for what he has done. We are attacked today not because of him. Do you understand?"
That was the last order from the king, and the queen could only nod her head before heavily leaving the king alone.
The moving image changed again, and now Michy could see the queen with a teenage boy. He just realized one thing ever since he saw the moving images. He could see the clothes worn by the people in the moving images, but he couldn't see their faces at all.
Even when the queen was with the teenage boy now, he still couldn't see their faces at all.
"Let's go to the underground bunker now!" The woman instructed the boy, and the boy probably was the one who was mentioned by the king earlier.
"What about His Majesty? We can't leave him alone in the palace!"
SLAP!
The boy's statement was answered with a slap on his face. Michy was startled by the scene before his eyes, but when he turned to the woman again, he could see the woman crying after slapping the boy's face.
Michy couldn't see the woman's face, but strangely enough, he could see that the woman was crying.
"Your father told me not to blame you, but I can't stop blaming you! If you didn't reject the arranged marriage, then our palace wouldn't be attacked like this!"
The unknown teenager was stunned, and his face reflected the fire that burned down the palace little by little. The fire was terrifying, and the boy looked frightened all of a sudden. Before he could say anything, his thin hand was grabbed by the woman, and the scene in front of Michy changed once again.
Now the woman and the boy were in a dark place, and the flame didn't reflect on the teenager's face anymore. Michy still couldn't see their faces, but he could see that both of them were scared right now.
Michy assumed that the woman and the teenage boy were in the underground bunker now, and perhaps the place was the safest place chosen by the king. Michy didn't know why, but he hoped the mother and son pair would survive the disaster.
Unfortunately, the reality turned out to be different from what he wished. The queen and her son were hiding in the darkness, but then some torches started to drive the darkness away. The queen widened her eyes, and she shifted a little to embrace her son.
Perhaps the queen hoped that her embrace would be able to save her son from the torch thrown by the enemy troops, but of course, that was just a desperate last wish.
Little by little, Michy could see how the fire burned the queen and her son in the underground bunker.]
