His human heart beating loudly behind his ribs. He had been a human for more than a week, but it was the first time he felt his human heart pounding this loudly.
When he was still in his demon form, he didn't even have a heart that would beat like this when he heard such unexpected information. He would still feel shocked, but never once did he feel something inside his chest pounding so hard as if it was partying inside.
"What... what do you mean by his demon and angel's side?" He was nervous, but he still managed to question the young girl.
His hands were still occupied by a bottle of water each, and he was still standing by Michy's sofa.
Elbow on the armrest, chin on the palm, and CM looked up at him lazily. "Why are you so surprised about that?" She questioned the blonde in her lazy tone. "I thought you also knew that Michy has both demon and angel's side in him?"
It didn't seem to be a big deal for CM as she casually questioned the blonde, but the said blonde felt so troubled by the question. He was about to ask for further explanation, but Michy butted in all of a sudden.
"Don't take her words too seriously, Ren. I have nothing inside my body. It's just myself in my body, so you don't have to listen to her joke."
'How can I take her words as a joke when you indeed look like a demon and an angel at the same time, Michy?' Azren cried inwardly.
Michy just acted like an angel after he kept terrorizing him with his devilish attitude, so how come he didn't take CM's words seriously?
"But you indeed have two personalities, Mich," CM chimed in. "You were so annoying before, but then you turned into a good boy all of a sudden. If it's not because there are a demon and an angel within your body, then what?"
Azren wanted to kowtow in front of the girl because she was so bold in voicing the question that had been bothering him for so long.
Michy was indeed weird, but the silver-haired youth didn't even realize that he was weird. That was a big problem.
"It's just my mood, maybe?" Michy asked the girl while blinking his blue eyes. "But there is nothing wrong with my body. There are no demons or angels in my body."
Michy and CM were both devoted to their argument, but Azren remained silent as a realization hit him.
Probably CM was indeed joking with her demon and angel theory, but Azren thought that the theory might be true.
'Gizach indeed couldn't see any angels around Michy, but what if there are angels in his heart? Is that even possible? I've never heard of such a thing before, but is it possible?'
"Ren, are you listening to me?"
Azren blinked his green eyes when a familiar voice slowly pulled him back from his reverie.
"Uh? What were you saying, Michy?"
The pair of blue eyes rolled immediately upon hearing the question. "Just call me Mich!" The owner of the eyes whined like a baby. "And I asked for a bottle of water. Can you give it to me? And you can drink yours if you are thirsty."
This one was indeed the nice Michy, or perhaps the angel Michy just like what CM said earlier. Azren still wasn't sure of anything related to Michy, but he would try to look for more information about it.
'Maybe I can ask Sir Orgonel about this matter,' he decided inwardly as he handed a bottle of water to the young idol.
Michy accepted the bottle while muttering a 'thank you,' and he drank the water hungrily. Azren unconsciously gulped when he looked at how Michy's adam apple moved up and down dangerously.
"I think you said that you were thirsty and not hungry, corn hair. Why are you looking at my Michy as if you want to eat him alive?"
The pair of green eyes widened, while the owner of the blue eyes choked on his water. Azren panicked while trying to rub Michy's back.
"Stop teasing him, CM!" Even the nice Michy had the power to scold someone too. "If you keep teasing him, then I'll report you to your father!"
"What? Why do you want to report me to my dad? If he finds out that I annoyed you, he will confiscate my sports bike!"
"That's why you should stop teasing him, Carmen Shelton!"
The two cousins were arguing with each other again, and Azren could only look at them like he was a robot that could only turn his head to the right and left stiffly.
"Excuse me," he decided to butt in because he couldn't stand it anymore. "Can you tell me more about your relationship? I heard that you two aren't blood-related, but yeah, I'm still curious."
The pair of cousins turned their heads to the one who just disturbed their debates. The pair of blue eyes blinked innocently, while the pair of dark obsidians stared at him lazily.
"You want to know more about my family, Ren?"
"You don't need to tell him more about our family, Mich."
"Huh? But why, CM? Azren is my friend, so I want to tell him more about myself."
"You told me earlier that he's only your assistant, so he doesn't need to know more about you, Mich."
Another bicker between the two cousins, and Azren could feel his head getting very dizzy. Why couldn't these two cousins have the same opinion even just once?
Azren just wanted to use the opportunity to seek more information about Michy because the idol was on his nice side now, but the two cousins ended up arguing again. It gave him a headache.
"Uh, maybe CM is right. I'm just a mere assistant, and I don't have the right to know more about Michy."
