Azren's hand still froze on top of Michy's head, and the idol froze as well.
That was such an intimate gesture. Azren was working for Michy, and it was not polite for him to touch the idol's head even if the idol was younger than him.
They looked like two ice sculptures right now, but surprisingly, the atmosphere around them turned warmer.
Realizing the weird position, Azren pulled his hand back before clearing his throat awkwardly. "Your left hand is not free because it still has the IV drip on it, so let me help you to eat your burger," he spoke without looking at the idol.
He couldn't even bring himself to eye the young idol, and he fixated his green eyes on the burger in his hands instead. The hands were slightly trembling, and Azren was puzzled.
'It's so weird. Why am I nervous all of a sudden?'
"I'm not a kid. I can feed myself even without my left hand," Michy's words interrupted his reverie, and Azren finally brought his eyes to look up at the pair of blue eyes again.
The idol just said that he was not a kid, but for Azren, the idol kept acting like a kid ever since the nice side of him made a comeback. But, at that moment, something weird suddenly flashed in his mind.
['I'm not a kid, and I can do anything by myself!']
Azren froze when the fragment of memory suddenly appeared in his mind. He could hear someone speaking in his mind, but he couldn't see the face of that person.
'Who is that? And whose memory is that?' Azren was puzzled, and he froze at his spot.
Something was not right with him today. He also saw a part of the puzzle in his memory earlier when he saved the drowning Michy, and he once again experienced the same thing.
The unfamiliar voice echoed in his head, and his heart pounded loudly all of a sudden. It caused his face to turn pale.
"Are you okay, Ren?"
Michy's question broke his reverie once again, and Azren just realized that he had not replied to Michy's childish statement earlier. Perhaps the memory meant nothing, and Azren chose to flash a smile at the idol.
"Do you think it's only a kid who can get fed by another person? A sick person deserves the treatment too. I've heard a story about a husband being so devoted to assisting his wife for more than 30 years because the wife was sick. Don't you know that story?"
Azren sounded like a human all of a sudden. He sure sounded like a human when he even knew about that kind of story in the human world. Sometimes he was indeed curious about the thing that was happening in the human world, and sometimes he went surfing on the internet to satisfy his curiosity.

Taking a deep breath, Azren then spoke again, "You are indeed not a wife, and I'm not your husband either. However, I can always feed you like a devoted husband. I'm your assistant, after all."
Azren could be said as the most patient demon in the demon world, and his patience remained the same when he was in the human world now. It was just a matter of eating, but Michy made it like a big deal. The nice Michy could be so annoying sometimes, but Azren was like a mother who could bear with her child's stubbornness.
"You are indeed my assistant, but I don't want to be fed by my assistant."
If Azren was not the most patient demon in the demon world, he surely would have chopped the silver head by now. How come the idol kept complaining about such a trivial matter?
"You don't want to be fed by your assistant, so what should I do to make you let me feed you, hm?"
Azren was like treating a baby now, and he silently praised his patience. To his surprise, he wasn't annoyed nor angry because of Michy's childish attitude, and he was still willing to do something the idol wished him to do.
On the other hand, Michy furrowed his silver brows, and he brought his gaze to look at the ceiling for a moment. The idol seemed to be thinking of an idea, and Azren could only stay patient in front of the young idol.
"What about we role-playing today?" The idol finally voiced out his idea as he stared at the blonde again. "You can play to be the devoted husband, and I can play to be the sick wife. That way, you can feed me as you wish."
The idea sounded foolish and childish at the same time, and the first response Azren gave to the idol was a gasping sound. Was Michy five or even three? How come he got such a childish idea in his head?
"You are not a kid anymore, but you want to play house, huh?" The demon teased the idol, but he didn't sound annoyed at all.
"If you don't want to play with me, then it's okay. You don't have to mock me like that, and you can't force me to eat either!"
The nice Michy was sulking again, and he even turned his head away from his assistant. The spoiled attitude made Azren chuckle.
"Ah, is my wife sulking now? Is it because of this husband's mistake?"
Azren's tease came again, but this time, it made the pair of blue eyes shine brightly.
"Yes! This wife is sulking because my husband is so naughty. I'm sick, and I think my husband doesn't want me anymore. Maybe he will leave me to look for a new wife."
Azren almost laughed out loud when he heard the idol's acting, but he maintained his cool as he returned the act.
"Who said that I will leave my beautiful wife, huh? As long as my wife is willing to eat the food from my hand, then I won't ever leave him."
Michy couldn't help but blush at Azren's tease. The 'beautiful' word came quite unexpectedly, and it stunned him for a moment before he decided to play along.
"Alright. I will let my husband feed me as long as he won't leave me."
The blonde finally received a green light, and he grinned joyfully before starting to feed Michy with the burger in his hands. The burger was big, and he fed Michy little by little.
His thumb and his forefinger even made contact with Michy's smooth lips, and it made his heart thump louder now and then.
