A youth with bloodied visage could be seen standing there with a dumbfounded expression on his bloody face. This youth is Ling Tian who was shocked beyond comparison at the turn of events that happened to him. Ling Tian, never in his wildest dreams thought that the system would leave him to fend for himself, soon after he arrived in this world which he was still pretty much unfamiliar with.
"Ah.."
Ling Tian stood there for a few seconds before screaming his lungs of.
" Noooooooooo!!!"
" Why!? Why did this happen to me!? Why!? What did I do wrong? I lived my life as a very good boy and when I thought my luck had finally turned for the better, this had to happen. Uuuu... Waah.!!"
Ling Tian complained in a loud voice. Ling Tian couldn't suppress his sorrow and started crying with tears streaming down his bloody face. His tears mixed with blood looked like transparent red rubies but his face was very unsightly.
While Ling Tian was whining about his sad fate , he suddenly felt a chill go in his spine. Ling Tian duck down and rolled to the side when a black shadow passed through the spot Ling was standing. Ling Tian stood up and shot look filled with hate and caution at the creature that just attempted to take pitiful life while he was in extreme sorrow.
When Ling Tian identified the black shadow, all the hate he had for the creature vanished without a trace, instead he was filled with fear.
The creature that ambushed Ling Tian was a Black Night cat. It is a rank 2 monster beast. And an extremely powerful beast among the rank 2 monster beasts. It is said that a Black Night Cat can kill monster beasts of a rank above itself.
Ling Tian knew that he will never be able escape from this predicament because his opponent's speed surpasses even that of a rank 3 monster beast, while his own speed was not even comparable to a peak rank 1 monster beast. So Ling Tian only had 2 choices he can make at the moment. First was to just become monster cat's meal and become the most tragic transmigrator. Second was to to fight and defeat the monster beast.
Ling Tian was very scared but he did not shiver or show any other form of fear. On the contrary, there was a sort of excitement coming from within him. Ling Tian knew that this was because of his Saiyan bloodline and him being a Saiyan. Ling Tian also understood that it was because of the extraordinary battle instincts of Saiyans that he managed to escape the ambush of the Black Night Cat.
The Black Night Cat didn't immediately attack Ling Tian, but was watching what it's prey is going to do. Cats are known for playing around with its prey before killing it and the Black Night Cat seemed like it planned to do the same thing with Ling Tian.
Ling Tian was also sizing up his opponent , thinking of how to defeat the cat before him. Ling Tian knew that there was 80 percent chance that he will die if he fights the Black Night Cat head on. But Ling didn't seem to realise that he was very calm when his life was at stake, which was very different from his usual self. This was the change brought by the Saiyan bloodline.
If it was Ling Tian before he got the Saiyan bloodline who was in this situation, he would have long passed out from fear and become the meal fo the Black Night Cat. But Ling Tian had no way of realising his change as he was racking his brain to think of a way to kill the Black Night Cat.
'looks like it's do or die '
" Hey cat, what's wrong, you scared?"
" looks like you really are a cat which bully the weak mouse and is afraid of a dog which is stronger than you."
' Damn, I should have learned some taunting techniques while I was on Earth '
" Are you really a pussycat?" When Ling Tian said this, he tried his best to make a smile full of mockery.
" Roar!!"
Whether Ling Tian's taunt worked or the Black Night Cat was done watching Ling Tian, It leapt at him with a roar which Ling Tian found weird as he expected a 'meow' from this big cat.
Ling Tian was calm as he took a step back bent down a little and aimed his fist at the throat of the Black Night Cat that was right above him. Ling Tian concentrated all his strength into his fist as he struck at the Black Night Cat's throat
But before his strike could reach the throat of Black Night Cat, a paw striked him with tremendous force which sent him flying as he smashed into a towering tree and spat out a mouthful of blood. A few ribs and organs were shattered as Ling Tian groaned in pain. After striking Ling Tian, the Black Night Cat intended to finish off Ling Tian as he leapt at him. But Ling Tian saw it coming and managed to dodge the attack by a thin margin.
After dodging the deadly attack of the Black Night Cat, Ling Tian got on the giant cat and used both his hands to choke it's neck.
" hehe , hehehe... I finally got you and I won't letting you go till you die."
Madness could seen in Ling Tian's face. The Black Night Cat kept on struggling vigorously and Ling Tian's choke on Black Night Cat was loosening bit by bit. Ling Tian was in a panic as he was trying to increase his grip on the choke, he saw a dagger tied to his right thigh which was probably the weapon used by the previous owner of his body.
Ling Tian hurriedly took the dagger and stabbed it into the throat of the Black Night Cat. The Black Night Cat screeched in pain and after a few seconds it's struggling receded as it started to lose signs of life and finally lying dead on the ground.
Ling Tian looked at the corpse of the Black Night Cat for a moment before laughing " Hahahaha!! I won, I really won. What if I won't have system guiding me for while, I'll still become the strongest in this world."
