This book is still available to be picked up, if you’re interested.

Cheng Mo swallowed and reached for the clothes next to him. He turned his head and suddenly found the traces of himself on the books. He entire face turned red, and used the clothes on hand to wipe it. After wiping halfway, he realized that these clothes still needed to be worn out to meet others. He immediately stared at the ground, embarrassed and at a loss.

Zi Xiao lowered his gaze and said, “I’ll bring you a set of clothes.”

Cheng Mo whispered: “Thank you.”

Zi Xiao left to retrieve the clothes and quickly returned. Cheng Mo put on his clean clothes and tidied up his messy hair.

Zi Xiao said: “It didn’t work.”

Cheng Mo understood that he meant his internal strength could not break through his essence block. He also knew in his heart that the blood contract that the Old Man Qingsong could call insoluble could not be broken so easily. He didn’t feel too disappointed, he just felt he wasted Zi Xiao’s efforts. He said, “It doesn’t matter, thank you, Zi Xiao.” [tl: essence refers to the you-know-what]

He straightened his clothes and hair, looked at Zi Xiao and asked, “Anything wrong?” [tl: He’s asking if anything looks off about him, like making sure no one gets a hint about what they did based on appearance]

Zi Xiao shook his head, “Very good.” Except for his flushed cheeks and moist lips and eyes.

Cheng Mo said: “I should go out, Master Nian Bei is still waiting for me to make a decision.”

Zi Xiao said: “I’ll go with you. The martial arts practiced by those women described by Nian Bei, it seems to be derived from the same source in one chapter of the Desire Sutra.”

“Oh?” Cheng Mo frowned, “In other words, the origin of the Shuiyue demonic sect may be from the Yuxi tribe in the southwest?”

Zi Xiao said: “It’s not impossible.”

Eradicating a demonic cult, it’s easier said than done. The Shuiyue sect is still only known by name, and no one has really faced an actual person. The Shaolin Temple was a giant among the Wulin, and sent out so many disciples. They have yet to catch a demonic cultivator, let alone know where the demonic cult stronghold was located, and what kind of powerful exponents were there.

Ling Xiaolu asked Yu Xiaoshan: “What kind of result can come out of discussing it like this? Even the sort of enemy we’re facing isn’t even clear?”

Yu Xiaoshan touched his chin, “It is impossible to produce any results. Master Nian Bei is just taking this opportunity to announce it to the orthodox Wulin. If there is someone who encounters a demon woman who is harming others, they may have the opportunity to follow the vine to find the melon and find the demon sect stronghold. Catch everyone in one swoop.”

Ling Xiaolu felt this was reasonable, nodded and asked, “But didn’t those Shaolin monks find those demon women, or is it that they could not catch anyone? Even the Shaolin monks can’t capture them, how can we possibly do it?”

Yu Xiaoshan cast him a glance, “If you were changed for your Senior Martial Brother, then we definitely can do it. It is somewhat inconvenient for the monk to catch a woman, so Nian Bei asked Cheng Mo for help and wanted to mobilize the entire Central Plains Wulin to help them catch the demonic women.”

Ling Xiaolu stood up and looked at Zen Master Nian Bei, but saw Cheng Mo and ZiXiao. He was immediately happy and said: “Alliance Leader Cheng is back!” After a while, he wondered again, “Why did Alliance Leader change his clothes?”

Cheng Mo spoke to Nian Bei in a low voice, and Nian Bei said: “Amitabha, this humble monk has asked all the heroes present. No one has ever seen the whereabouts of the demon women. I am afraid this matter will be extremely difficult.”

Cheng Mo nodded, “We are in the light, and they are in the dark. It is impossible to eradicate them at the roots overnight. Master also does not have to worry. If you trust Cheng Mo, then leave the matter to me. First we will find the demonic girl, then investigate the location of the demon stronghold, and finally gather the forces of Jianghu to wipe them out.”

Zen Master Nian Bei put his palms together, “Amitabha, thanking Alliance Leader Cheng.”

When Cheng Mo was about to speak, but a Wulin disciple rushed in from the front yard and whispered a few words into Cheng Mo’s ear. Cheng Mo’s expression suddenly changed, and said, “Let him in!”

A short while later, a young man could be seen running from the front yard. He stood on the edge of the martial arts field, looking everyone in the field. For a while, he couldn’t find the person he was looking for, so he shouted anxiously: “Gang Leader!”

Everyone in the field looked at him. At this moment, a tall middle-aged man stood up and scolded: “What are you doing, making a fuss?”

Ling Xiaolu asked curiously: “Who is this?”

Yu Xiaoshan looked up, “The Haisha Gang’s leader, Zhang Guan. Haisha Gang is a small gang along the coast.” [tl: Haisha (海沙) means sea sand]

Seeing Zhang Guan stand up, the young man rushed towards him, and almost tripped over his feet. He reached Zhang Guan’s side, and whispered in Zhang Guan’s ear. Zhang Guan’s face instantly lost all color, only his eyes were bloodshot and had turned red.

Zhang Guan stood there blankly for a moment, then suddenly raised his head towards the sky and walked towards Cheng Mo. He walked in front of Cheng Mo, bent one leg and half-kneeled on the ground, cupping his hands and said, “May Alliance Leader help my son take revenge!”

Cheng Mo quickly helped him up, “Gang Leader Zhang, get up and talk. I only heard the disciple say that something happened to your esteemed son. Just what happened?” [tl: His son isn’t necessarily “esteemed”, it’s just polite]

Zhang Guan let out a long sigh, his usually fierce face was actually on the verge of tears.

Zhang Guan came from the Haisha Gang to Lin Yuan City to attend the Wulin Conference, and his only son Zhang Chengyu also came with him to see the world. Unlike the rugged Zhang Guan, Zhang Chengyu was a gentleman with a refined appearance and a distinguished personality, just like a nobleman. Because he had been rushing around for several days, Zhang Chengyu said his body was not feeling well when he arrived at Lin Yuan City, so he was reluctant to come to the Wulin Conference today. He laid down in the inn early in the morning to sleep and never got up.

Note found in raws: Is it really okay to have more plot than meat, or should this be moved to a different place….
