Cheng Mo already lacked the strength to rebute.

Shu Changhua came up to kiss his mouth again, Cheng Mo let him stir around in his mouth for a while, and finally heard him say: “Cheng Mo, you are too good, I will come back to find you, and then you and I can compare notes again. …”

Before he finished speaking, Cheng Mo felt that Shu Changhua stretch out his hand to strike the side of his neck, and immediately sunk into total darkness.

When Cheng Mo woke up, he only felt that his whole body was sore and weak, and unable to muster any strength for a long time. He opened his eyes and found that he had already returned to the Wulin Alliance, lying on his own bed, but his body did not have a single thread of clothing under the blanket.

He sat up abruptly, and felt a burst of pain in his waist and back cave. Upon recalling everything that happened before, Cheng Mo’s face became pale.

Cheng Mo lifted the quilt and got out of the bed. Suddenly he noticed a tingling pain at the back of his waist. He stretched out his hand and stroked it, only to feel as if it had been pierced by something there. He was shocked, walked to the table to pick up a bronze mirror, and pointed it at his lower back. He found that a twisted bug had been stabbed there. It had ten legs, five on each side, the body in the middle was slender and curled up, and there were two long antennae on the top of the head.

Cheng Mo had never seen an insect like this before, but what was even more frightening was that he knew in his heart that Shu Changhua was the one to stuff that thing inside him. He couldn’t help but think of the blood that Shu Changhua had fed him and when he told him (CM) that he would come back to look for him(CM). Cheng Mo only felt throbbing pain in his temples, and sat back on the bedside weakly.

At this moment, his head was filled with too many things, and they came up like a wave, crowding his mind. The demonic woman who was locked up escaped, and he didn’t know how to tell Zhang Guan. He himself actually moaned lasciviously under the demonic sect leader for most of the night. He knew that it was not because of his own debauchery, but because of the blood contract, yet he still served to Shu Changhua in a sober state.

Cheng Mo suddenly thought of Zi Xiao again. Zi Xiao was wholeheartedly helping him find a way to unlock the blood contract, yet he with another man… Thinking of this, Cheng Mo only felt a stuffy pain in the pit of his stomach, and his throat spat out a mouthful of sweet blood.

The door of the room was knocked on suddenly, and a disciple outside the door said: “Alliance Leader! Haisha Gang’s Leader Zhang and Zen Master Nian Bei are visiting again!”

Cheng Mo stood up, putting on his clothes while saying: “Invite them to go to Zhengqi Hall to wait a bit, I will come out soon.”

It turned out that Zhang Guan thought about it all night and couldn’t figure it out. This morning, he invited Zen Master Nian Bei and his party to come with him, wanting to verify the identity of the demonic girl.

Alongside Nianbei, there was Kongtong Sect Leader Lin Xuwang, as well as the Emei Mountain’s Elder Shan De and Mt. Hua’s leader Lu Shanqing. [tl: aaaahhh I made a small mistake in chapter 18. If you recall, I said Mt. Hua’s Leader was Yu Heng. I believe his title isn’t 派商, which I previously translated to leader. 派 means faction, while 商 is actually his family name. So his name is Shang Yuheng and he’s just someone who is aa member of Mt. Hua, and this Lu Shanqing person is the actual leader. I’ve corrected it in chapter 18.]

Cheng Mo hurried to Zhengqi Hall, greeted all of the Wulin experts, stood up straight and said directly: “I don’t know if you all came to the Wulin Alliance early this morning for the matter of the demonic girl yesterday?”

Zhang Guan said: “Yes, Alliance Leader Cheng, you take her out, we will investigate again.”

Cheng Mo lowered his gaze and said, “Gang Leader Zhang does not need to investigate, that woman is indeed the Shuiyue Sect’s demonic girl.”

“Oh?” Everyone present was surprised.

Nian Bei asked: “How did the leader know?”

Cheng Mo said: “Cheng Mo is ashamed, yesterday night we underestimated that demonic woman, but actually confused the guards with her soul-sucking technique and was released.”

Zhang Guan heard this and said anxiously: “Where is that person?”

Cheng Mo sighed and said, “The person is gone.”

Nian Bei said: “Amitabha.”

Elder Shan De thought carefully, “Alliance Leader Cheng, since the demonic girl is so powerful, why did she come to the Wulin Alliance before leaving? Was there some other scheme?”

Lu Shanqing also said: “Yes, it sounds a little strange.”

Cheng Mo didn’t respond at first, and after a long time, he said, “The woman was confused the guards and came to my room in the middle of the night and knocked on the door. Ashamed to say, Cheng Mo was caught off guard, and was also caught by her soul-sucking technique.”

Nian Bei said: “Alliance Leader Cheng, don’t have to blame yourself too much. The spirit-sucking technique you mentioned, my senior brother had also been affected. That sorcery is strange and difficult to guard against. If you have never seen it before, it is easy to be confused by the evil girl’s eyes. However, if you have seen it once, it will be difficult to confuse you next time.”

Cheng Mo nodded.

Zhang Guan asked: “That demonic girl confused you? What did you do to you?”

Everyone simultaneously thought of the condition of Zhang Chengyu’s death, and their gazes towards Cheng Mo became complicated. [tl: everyone thinks Cheng Mo got laid. They’re right, ofc, but they got the other party wrong lol]

Cheng Mo said: “The demonic girl’s skill seems to be able to absorb other people’s power. She mixed into the Wulin Alliance and appeared in the middle of the night to confuse my mind with the purpose of bringing me out of the Wulin Alliance to absorb my inner strength.”

He had been caught by the soul-sucking technique, yet Cheng Mo did not appear to have suffered any damage to his internal power, they could only think that Cheng Mo was able to sit back and calm his heart in the face of the demonic woman’s seduction.

Seeing everyone’s varying expressions, Cheng Mo laughed at himself, and said: “It is not that Cheng Mo is so powerful as to resist that enchantress by himself, but someone came out to stop her in the middle, and allowed Cheng Mo to escape.”

Lin Xuwang asked, “Who was it?”

Cheng Mo inwardly sighed, but firmly decided to speak out about that person, “Shuiyue Sect Leader — Shu Changhua.”

It was the first time they all heard the name “Shu Changhua”, and even Nian Bei had never heard it before.

A small translation note here: Before, Cheng Mo had referred to himself in 3rd person with his own name “程漠”. However in this chapter, Cheng Mo referred to himself as “程某” (Cheng Mou). 程 is his family name, while 某 is a word used to refer to yourself, meaning “self” or “someone”. It’s a polite (and ancient) way for men to refer to themselves. You can interpret it as “this surnamed ____”. For example: “Cheng Mo is ashamed” is probably more accurately “This surnamed Cheng is ashamed”. For the sake of simplicity, I just changed it to Cheng Mo’s full name, because it sounds and looks kinda similar anyway lol.
