I’ve picked up this novel from Hanuchu! I’ve tried to keep the novel specific terms consistent with how they have translated it.

Cheng Mo nodded solemnly.

Cheng Mo hummed in acknowledgement and at the same time he heard two sets of footsteps approaching from the distance. In front of them were two women, Cheng Mo heard them come to a stop in front of them and loudly question Yu Qin: “Yu Qin! How dare you bring an outsider to our Sect? And a man at that!”
Yu Qin let go of Cheng Mo and knelt down on the ground. “I know I have committed a crime. This gentleman here is Cheng Mo, I have brought him back here to see the Sect Leader.”
