It was not until dinner that Cheng Mo saw Qin Fangchuan again. He thought Qin Fangchuan was quite interesting, it was obvious that he was unwell and it was difficult for him to move around, but he still had to drag himself to attend this martial arts competition. Moreover, his tone just now felt like he was on the brink of death, but when it was mealtime, he insisted on coming to the dining hall, occupying a large table to himself while he put on an appearance that deterred people from approaching him. Cheng Mo knew that Hui Ji was also present and he noticed Hui Ji’s figure from the moment he stepped into the dining hall. He didn’t dare to turn his head to look over and he didn’t know if Hui Ji noticed him. Cheng Mo walked to Qin Fangchuan and asked: “Is Mr Qin feeling better?”
Qin Fangchuan looked at him coldly and replied: “Thank you Leader Cheng for poking your nose into my business. I feel a lot better now.”
Cheng Mo smiled and said: “That’s good.”
After talking to Qin Fangchuan, Cheng Mo went towards the table where Xue Tinghua and Yu Xiaoshan were seated. Xue Tinghua asked: “Cheng Mo, why do you need to provoke someone like Qin Fangchuan?”
Cheng Mo chuckled and said: “I don’t think he’s a bad person.”
Yu Xiaoshan tapped his bowl with his chopsticks: “He has a kind side and an evil side. Not only that, he has a weird temper. But I have heard that his medical skills are excellent.”

Cheng Mo sighed: “Since he has this ability, it would be good if he was willing to do more for the Jianghu.”
Xue Tinghua heard this and questioned: “You want him to work for the Wulin Alliance? I’m afraid that’s impossible.”
Cheng Mo shook his head: “Not for the Wulin Alliance, but for everyone who practices martial arts. With his skills, he can bring people back from death’s door, if he had a kind heart that wants to help the living, there would probably be fewer people dying in vain in this world.”
As soon as Cheng Mo finished speaking, he saw many people enter the dining hall one after another. Walking in the middle of the group, was a graceful woman with a veil covering her face. The noisy hall suddenly became quiet, there was only the sound of Qin Fangchuan suppressing his coughs, but it was otherwise silent. Everyone’s gaze fell on Jiang Wanrou. She followed a middle-aged man to the front of the hall before turning around and facing the crowd. Jiang Wanrou remained silent while the middle-aged man beside her cupped his hands and said: “Dear heroes, my surname is Yue and my name is Chaosong. For this martial arts competition for the bride’s hand in marriage, the bride is the eldest daughter of the Jiang family. Her name is Wanrou and she is my niece. I will be representing the Jiang family in hosting this competition. I hope you can forgive me for any inattentiveness you’ve experienced thus far.”

Everyone present listened to him silently and no one spoke. Yue Chaosong continued: “The martial arts competition will be held tomorrow. For this competition, there are only two rules. The first rule is that you may not intentionally inflict fatal injuries on anyone; the second rule is that there will only be one winner. The final contestant standing will be Wanrou’s future husband. As for the rest, it will depend on your true ability.”
Cheng Mo suddenly stood up and said: “Senior Yue, Cheng Mo has a question that I would like to ask.”
Yue Chaosong replied: “Leader Cheng, please speak.”
Cheng Mo asked: “If everyone relies on their abilities, then concealed weapons and poisoning are not against the rules?”
Cheng Mo recalled Qin Fangchuan’s skills in stealthily poisoning people, the same skills he witnessed earlier that day. Perhaps if he was competing, his opponent might have already been poisoned the moment they stepped into the arena. Yue Chaosong did not expect Cheng Mo to ask this question. He leaned close to Jiang Wanrou and discussed it with her in a low tone before straightening up and saying to Cheng Mo: “Everyone will depend on their true ability. They are free to use whatever methods they like.”
Cheng Mo nodded and sat down. Cheng Mo suddenly thought of an idea, if Qin Fangchuan wanted to marry Jiang Wanrou, then he would definitely encounter Hui Ji. In terms of martial arts, Qin Fangchuan was powerless against Hui Ji, but was it possible for Hui Ji to underestimate the enemy and fall into Qin Fangchuan’s trap? If Hui Ji loses to Qin Fangchuan, it would be much better than him trying his best to fight Hui Ji. The only thing was that, Cheng Mo mused as he shook his head, he knew it already, the chances of Hui Ji losing to Qin Fangchuan were extremely slim. Thinking of this, Cheng Mo couldn’t help but look towards Hui Ji and Qin Fangchuan. That was when he realised that the two of them were already looking at him and he was startled.
