The atmosphere in the arena gradually heated up. Yu Xiaoshan stood up, took a step forward to watch Cheng Mo and Hui Ji exchange blows and furrowed his brow. Ling Xiaolu followed him and asked: “Shixiong, why is that Ma Sheng so powerful? It seems like Leader Cheng can’t beat him?”
Xiaoshan said solemnly: “In the Jianghu, there is no one who can fight like this with Cheng Mo in our age group, I really can’t think of it.”
After speaking, Yu Xiaoshan said softly: “It’s not necessarily evenly matched, maybe compared to Cheng Mo this person…”
Ling Xiaolu shook his head: “There is no way anyone is more powerful than Leader Cheng!”
Yu Xiaoshan pushed his head and ignored him. Jiang Wanrou also stood up from her chair, she took two steps forward and looked at the two people in the arena, frowning. At that moment, Hui Ji tripped Cheng Mo so that he fell. He gripped his arm with one hand and made a fist with the other and aggressively threw a punch towards his chest. Cheng Mo’s heart skipped a beat and he kicked Hui Ji’s knee, sliding to the side. Hui Ji’s knee buckled as he punched down to the ground, debris flew everywhere as he broke the stone slabs and left a fist sized hole in the ground. Cheng Mo was terrified, if that punch had hit his chest, he would probably have suffered serious internal injuries even if he was protected by his internal energy. Apart from being terrified, there was a dull ache in his chest. He didn’t expect Hui Ji to be so cruel to him. Cheng Mo raised his head and met Hui Ji’s eyes under the bamboo hat. Those bright eyes seemed to be slightly absent-minded and they looked red. He didn’t know that Hui Ji was also frightened. At that moment, when his internal energy collided with Cheng Mo’s, Hui Ji was controlled by his own internal energy and impulsively wanted to tear Cheng Mo into pieces.

Hui Ji’s heart was beating rapidly and he reached out to touch Cheng Mo’s face, wanting to make sure that Cheng Mo was not hurt by him. Before his fingers could touch him though, there was a sharp sound in the air of a sword coming towards them. A silver light flashed and the sword energy was so intense that it forced Hui Ji to take two steps back. Hui Ji stood still and saw a young Taoist priest in white robes holding a silver sword in one hand while he pulled Cheng Mo behind him with the other hand. Hui Ji’s originally red eyes turned cold as his gaze fell on their intertwined hands. Cheng Mo, on the other hand, had not recovered from his surprise because of Zi Xiao’s sudden experience. He said in a daze: “Zi Xiao, when did you come back?”
Zi Xiao said softly: “I just rushed back. Are you okay?”
Cheng Mo couldn’t help but squeeze Zi Xiao’s hand and said: “I’m fine.”
Zi Xiao replied: “That’s good. Leave the rest to me.”
“You…” Before Cheng Mo finished his sentence, Zi Xiao suddenly let go of his hand. A gentle internal energy pushed Cheng Mo’s chest, causing him to take a few steps back and almost fall out of the arena. At the same time, Zi Xiao’s long sword moved horizontally and stabbed towards the side of Hui Ji’s neck. Hui Ji did not dodge his strike, instead he summoned his internal energy and let Zi Xiao’s long sword swipe across the skin on the side of his neck. He grabbed the sword with both hands, trying to break Zi Xiao’s sword with his internal energy. Zi Xiao shook his hand and drew a beautiful arc with his sword before retracting it back to his chest. Then he saw that in the area where he stabbed Hui Ji’s neck, there was only a slight red mark, but no blood. Zi Xiao asked doubtfully: “Shaolin Golden Bell Shield? Are you from Shaolin?”
Hui Ji sneered and struck Zi Xiao with his bare hands, using Shaolin’s Thousand-Armed Tathāgata Palm technique. Hui Ji had been famous in the Jianghu since he was a child, relying on his talent in martial arts. It couldn’t be said that he was proficient in all seventy two Shaolin techniques, but he did have them at his fingertips. Adding the forbidden Shaolin Brahma Killing Arts which was an internal energy technique of the Shaolin Sect; deep internal energy paired with skillful martial arts routines, the Hui Ji who used Shaolin martial arts, even if the Shaolin leader came in person, he may not be able to subdue him.

As soon as Zi Xiao fought with him, he immediately understood why this person was able to corner Cheng Mo to that point. Cheng Mo stood at the edge of the arena and saw that Zi Xiao’s moves were the famous Taiyi Yunyang Sword moves. He stepped on the seven star sword array, his white clothes were flowing and his body was agile, the sword shone with a silver light and thrusted towards Hui Ji. Hui Ji gathered his internal energy and turned sideways to avoid the sharp edge of the sword. At the same time, he used the Thousand-Armed Tathāgata Palm technique to strike back, hitting the body of the sword. The two of them were separated at the first encounter, their movements were so fast that no one present except Cheng Mo could clearly see their moves. Cheng Mo clenched his fists tightly and stood at the edge of the arena looking at the two of them. He wanted to tell them to stop, but he did not have the ability to interrupt. Seeing Zi Xiao use the second form of the Taiyi Yunyang Sword, the two of them fought harder and harder. The strong internal energy caused the arena to tremble with each collision. There was a lot of dust flying in the air and everyone in the audience could tell that something was wrong. Someone approached the arena and wanted to see the moves of the two men clearly, but he was hit by the internal energy released from their fight and he felt a pain in his chest. He took two steps backwards and coughed out blood. Ling Xiaolu wanted to get closer, but Yu Xiaoshan held him firmly by the collar: “Don’t go. You’ll get hurt.”
Ling Xiaolu said in surprise: “How could he be so powerful?”
Yu Xiaoshan shook his head, he was considered one of the most powerful people in martial arts. Those with high martial arts skills could recognise Hui Ji’s moves as Shaolin techniques. Why would the young leader of the Huangshama Gang use Shaolin martial arts? No, if Ma Sheng could really tie with Taoist Zi Xiao in a fight, he would have already become famous in the Jianghu.
