Zeke was just about done with his task. In fact, if they finish all the troops that came for them, the elites and Zeke would have no trouble vanquishing the other fortresses because, not much could stand in their way.

And while Zeke massacred the enemies that remained for him, the elites also did the same. With all of the regular troops killed, all that was left for the elites to deal with were the generals who were already on their [Primal State].

At this time, Zeke explained to Heron that every incoming enemy has been dealt with. This amazed Heron once again who understood what this meant. And that is, his master went and accomplished this all on his own once again.

"You never fail to amaze me master." Heron said.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He replied, giving her further instructions to help out the elites.

"We need to make sure that they are safe and, judging by the number of generals they need to face, it would be within our best interest if you intervene." He said, cutting off the [Voice Chat].

Heron did as she was told, relaying the information to the elites and to Morpheus who was just itching to get some piece of action himself. And so, the fight continued this way: Both She and Morpheus handled 2 Generals all on their own. Leaving the remaining generals for the elites to handle.

"Don't break formation!" Quinn announced as they continued matching the pacing of the generals.

This would not be possible if Merlin was not present who took the [Secondary Job Class] of [Illusionist]. Although this couldn't deal much when it came to damage, the job class aided in disorienting the enemies, allowing the rest of the group to execute their attacks easier against the said generals.

"That's a lot easier said than done Quinn." Curio responded, creating two [Shadow Clones] of himself which tried slitting a general's throat.

The enemy caught up however but this didn't help him much as, the clones simply transformed into a shower of shuriken which continually hit him. Obviously, the [Assassin] took the [Secondary Job Class] of [Ninja] which has a unique feature. As time progresses, Curio's rank as a [Ninja] will also increase until he reaches the peak.

Going back to the battle, the general had had a bit of lag due to the number of shuriken that continued outpouring. He was just about to destroy all of them but, Eerie followed through with her barrage of crossbow shots – generating critical shots from time to time. While they focused on the general, Vorst ensured that no harm would come to his allies as he created a strong barrier that prevented any attack from coming through.

Of course, the other defenders helped him in doing so. Together, they were able to create invisible walls that divided the enemies, preventing them from creating any solid formation. This was, of course, at the command of Quinn who continued handing out orders despite facing one general himself.

The other generals were also in a pickle as Kaguya created [Oblivion] that kept five generals from moving out of place. This is doubled because of her [Secondary Job Class] as [Multiplier], one which is only available for tamers such as Horus and herself. What this basically does for her is that, whatever Kaguya summons can be multiplied to a number depending on the grade of the summon. And since [Oblivion] was of the highest tier, she can only create one duplicate of this.

The five generals were thus stuck in mid-air, continually pulled both up and down by the holes of [Oblivion] which Kaguya set above them and on the ground, they stepped on. She made the hole of her skill smaller but, at the same time, increased the force it generated.

Hence, all that the elites really needed to fight were the eight remaining generals. With four handled by Heron and Morpheus, one dealt with by Quinn and five kept in check by Kaguya, the remaining generals didn't have much to offer, although already on their [Primal States].

"Detonate." Zilg said, enjoying the continuous explosion of his traps. He was also one of the few who didn't need to think much on what he should get. During the small amount of time he spent as a [Trapper], Zilg realized that he has fallen in love with explosions. And thus, he chose the secondary job class of [Explosives Expert], allowing all his explosive traps to be both stronger and have other effects included.

Zilg took small marbles from his pocket, one which was also crafted by Zeke. Through some mechanism, Zilg was allowed to have an inventory which could house an infinite amount of a single item that could fit inside it and, the item he picked were marbles.

Zilg continued placing [Explosive Detonates] on these and, threw them at the generals with glee. Each individual explosion was not enough to take down the enemies but, it was enough to, once again, limit the movements of the remaining generals. Just like everyone else, Zilg was amazed by the craftsmanship of Zeke Elwood.

They all knew that none of this would've been feasible if they didn't have Zeke's equipment. The first set of items they had were so weak that, it didn't give much help to them. It was more like someone else owned the stuff and they just borrowed them for a while. With Zeke's forged items however, they had exactly what they needed. These were items personally made to suit their needs and, the elites felt ease and comfort in using these.

"Gale!" One general shouted, creating a slash of wind. This was met by one barrier shattering down but, as soon as it did Vorst was able to set another one right away. Aside from this, Zane rained fireballs on that general, preventing him from performing the same act.

Again, most of their tactics focused on disabling the enemies before they could make their move because, if they give even the slightest opening, the generals would utilize this to create a counterattack. And from Quinn's experience, he knew that the skills of a [Primal State] general are no joke.

"You think it would be that easy to take us down?" Another [Primal State] general said, breaking three barriers all at once before getting pinned down by Gawain who snipped him with a fully charged arrow.

"Of course were not taking you lightly." Jake said who was assisted by Mirio. The two of them attacked in unison, preventing the general from breaking more barriers.

Jake attacked with spikes that shot up from the ground and, with Mirio's exceptional reflexes, he was able to weave through all of these. The general wasn't as able and was pierced from time to time. Soon enough, Mirio was able to close the distance between them and, punched the general on the stomach.

A burst of wind went out of the General's back and his armor shattered altogether. But Mirio didn't stop there. He continued with a combination utilizing his feet that sent the general flying towards another spike that rose from the ground.

But the combination didn't end there. Jake summoned even more spikes that continued pouring down from the sky. Each was infused with [Pierce] making it a heavily mana draining skill but, all of this was worth it as they saw the general dying.

Yet, something unusual occurred. Instead of screaming in pain, the general bellowed in laughter. Jake and Mirio saw how the general was being stabbed to death but, his laugh was both unnerving and ominous.

"He's gone crazy." Jake said, deciding to give the general one last stab but, before he did, the general's true intention finally came into light.

His [Primal State] specialized on one thing and that was, explosion. Upon death, the general would create an explosion as massive as the amount of mana he had left. And because he wasn't able to do much in battle, he had a lot in reserve.

There was no time to dodge this. Both Jake and Mirio were blown away by the explosion, their flesh charred by the attack of the enemy. Unfortunately, they weren't the only ones affected as, because of this attack, most of the barriers created by the defenders got shattered and, the other generals took this chance to finally make a counter attack.

"Vorst!" Quinn said, making his intentions clear without having to say it.

"I'm trying! It'll take time to set the barriers up again!" The defender said in reply.

Chaos soon followed as, another general immediately summoned multiple [Shadow Wolves] which went after the elites. There were at least a hundred of them in total and their strength had been greatly increased by the amount of mana poured into summoning them. Hence, these were individually as strong as [Vice Generals].

Aside from her, two other generals went and aimed for Kaguya. They used ultimate level spells which two defenders blocked at the cost of being damaged themselves. The attack didn't end there however as another wave of these attacks came and, this time, Kaguya was left with no other option but to evade – breaking [Oblivion] and setting five more generals free.

"This is bad. Really bad." Lizzie thought to herself, seeing the situation turn in favor of the generals. Heron and Morpheus saw this and decided to finally get serious but, before they could even make their move, they heard a loud humming from the sky.

Even the generals paused to look at what it was that created the noise and, the generals rejoiced at the sight. Flying freely on the sky was a [Chaos Dragon] which began descending down.

"You're dead now!" One of the generals said as all of them laughed triumphant. But only horror came as the dragon stomped on the generals. It created [Chaos Flames] that burned the ground and ate the primal state generals one by one.

Soon, an army came out. Reanimated copies of the fallen soldiers surrounded the [Primal State] generals and, they even recognized two other generals who joined in its ranks. Then, out came Zeke, walking causally toward the elites as he gave the command for his [Conjures].

"Devour."
