When she stood at the entrance of the den and initially caught a glimpse of Anderson's shadow and smelled the scent of the blood coursing through his body, she was so ravenous that she could hardly speak.
Her head was spinning, and all she could think about was how to consume Anderson's blood.
And so, her fangs sank deeper and deeper.
The rich, full-bodied fresh blood flowed freely into Chloe's mouth, satisfying her body more and more.
As for Anderson, the crimson hue gradually faded from his eyes, and occasional muffled groans escaped his throat as he even folded his wings.
Not far away, Qin Huaibei and Daniel, one clutching their leg and the other their arm, stood up from the Ice field and stared blankly at Chloe pinning Anderson down and biting him.
After a while, Daniel nudged Qin Huaibei's elbow and whispered:
"You see, I told you Chloe is a little rascal."
Anderson came to rescue her, yet she was pressing him down and biting him.
Qin Huaibei glanced at him: "Don't talk nonsense, don't you know? Chloe was probably extremely hungry."
The scene fell eerily silent.
When starved, Chloe was utterly unrestrained, drinking blood until her belly was round and still refusing to let go.
Afraid that she would overindulge, Anderson quickly reached out and pinched her jaw, forcibly moving her fangs away, and gently coaxed her:
"Enough, your belly will burst if you drink more."
Chloe emitted a disgruntled rumbling sound from her throat, her lips still stained with vibrant blood.
She imperiously pushed Anderson's hand away and buried her head in the nook of his neck again, extending her tongue to lick the two round wounds.
Chloe was now completely in a daze, possessively clinging to Anderson, not letting him go, and occasionally nuzzling and rubbing against him.
So fragrant... so delicious, I want to eat.
Chloe's eyes shone brightly, and her throat moved suspiciously.
While it was not uncommon for Vampires to consume the blood of their own kind, it was still a rare occurrence.
Add to that Chloe's status as a cherished princess among Vampires, and no matter how honored Anderson felt, he could not allow Chloe to drink the blood of a mere Death Warrior like himself.
With no choice, he had to move Chloe's head away again.
A newly-fed Vampire infant was in a sensitive and fragile state of mind, and after Anderson pushed her away again, Chloe's nose tingled, and she burst into tears!
Her tears fell silently, with only glistening droplets perched on the edge of her eyes, looking pitiful and adorable.
Anderson panicked and immediately released his hold on Chloe, offering his own neck to her.
Seeing that crying actually worked, the disoriented Chloe realized this was an excellent tactic and continued to cry while licking and drinking Anderson's blood.
Although she appeared to be on the verge of tears, her entire being exuded a lively and joyful aura that was impossible to ignore.
Anderson was powerless against her, and could only indulge her completely.
It was unknown how much time had passed when a rustling sound came from nearby.
Chloe raised her glistening eyes and saw the faces of Qin Huaibei and Daniel.
She paused, then bared her fangs at them in a symbolic threat before continuing to lick Anderson's neck.
Witnessing this, Daniel marveled:
"I've always heard that Vampires lose all rationality when starved, and it turns out it's true."
Anderson paid no heed, hugging Chloe tightly to his chest with both arms until he was sure she had calmed down. Only then did he say softly:
"Let's go. My senses have found an exit. We can head there."
After all, he was still carrying Chloe, and could not fly while taking the other two with him.
Both Qin Huaibei and Daniel understood this well, so they raised no objections and followed Anderson.
In the original spot, the Unknown fierce beast that had been reduced to a pulp of flesh began writhing and twisting, quickly reforming - but this time, its size was much smaller.
The Unknown monster let out an angry roar from its body, then frantically scurried along the ground on its tentacles until it eventually latched onto Anderson's leg.
Anderson stopped in his tracks, and the other two halted as well when they saw him stop.
Qin Huaibei: "What's wrong?"

Anderson said nothing, simply using one hand to pry the small monster off his leg.
This Unknown monster was still covered in tentacles and slime all over its body, appearing filthy.
Daniel's eyes widened: "It's still not dead!"
Not only was it not dead, but upon hearing Daniel's words, the Unknown monster even wriggled its tentacles in apparent displeasure.
Seeing this, Qin Huaibei squinted: "This thing might be immortal."
"Huh?" Daniel looked at him bewildered.
Qin Huaibei tilted his chin, gesturing for Daniel to take a closer look at the small monster:
"Its regenerative abilities are too formidable. Even if it's crushed into a pulp, as long as a single nerve remains, it can continue to grow and spread endlessly until it regains its form."
At this moment, they could clearly see that while the monster still bore some lingering wounds, they were healing at an astonishingly rapid pace.
Daniel was even more perplexed: "Then why is it sticking around us? Is it trying to wait for a chance to seek..."
Before he could finish, they saw the monster swiftly climb up Anderson's arm and extend a tentacle to gently touch Chloe's body.
Chloe's mind was foggy, so she merely glared at it before clinging to Anderson again.
But the small monster seemed delighted, using its tentacles to envelop its spherical body as if... acting coy?
This thought horrified and disgusted everyone.
Daniel rubbed his arm with a shudder: "Chloe really has a way of attracting strange species' affections."
It was like this with the Fantasy Species before, and now it's the same with this Unknown monster.
Could this be a talent of Vampires?

As for the monster, since it had not shown any aggressive intent for the time being, and seemed impossible to shake off, they temporarily brought it along.
It was unknown how long they had walked when they finally encountered the rescue team just as they were about to collapse from exhaustion.
Ren Yunying and the people she brought with her had clearly been through a fierce battle, their bodies covered in wounds and traces of fresh blood.
