Here we are again, three volumes and 90 chapters later.
It's been a while since I've talked directly through an afterword, but...
How was the previous chapter?
Chapter 90, surprisingly, didn't take me that long to write even though it was 3x the size of a normal chapter.
When I was writing it, the words effortlessly flew onto the page without me even having to think hard about it.
Perhaps it was due to my extensive knowledge of romance light novels...
Besides that, I had a lot of fun writing that chapter.
During the brainstorming process, I tried my best to think of a scenario that would leave them in a situation where they were alone together without any distraction or interference.
After some (not) meticulous planning, I decided on the Ferris wheel scene that you all witnessed yourselves.
In the end, it turned out surprisingly better than I thought.
My favorite part was when Takei mustered his resolve and took charge of his future with his own hand.
Instead of running away like he always did, he pushed forward and jumped straight into the abyss.
Akari chose a splendid guy, huh?
Guh, this idiot couple needs to hurry and blow up.
Jokes aside, there's some announcements I need to make.
I will be taking a 3 day break starting today (9/24/21) and ending on (9/26/21).
Therefore, the next chapter will be on (9/27/21).
Uploading everyday for the last 3 months tends to take a toll on someone, haha.
It's fine though, I'll come back refreshed and even more diabetic than ever before!
Another thing I want to mention is the new upload schedule I will be doing.
Daily uploads are a bit hard to balance when I'm in college, so I will be switching to every other day chapter uploads.
Please bear with me, the workload for an engineering major is not easy in the slightest.
Of course, I'll be uploading more once I get a break from classes (Fall break, winter break, etc).
If I manage to get any extra time during my busy schedule throughout the week, I'll definitely upload an extra chapter or two when time permits.
I hope you all will understand my circumstances.
Now that we're done with the serious news...
Serious-san: C'mon... I can't even have the spotlight for that long in only an afterword?!
There's something new that I hope to do for this upcoming volume.
I'm hoping to take a slightly different approach in the way the story is structured.
The content won't be radically different, but I will be doing longer and more fleshed out arcs along with the single chapter contained stories.
As for why... I wish to flesh out character interactions more and to ensure that there is a good balance of plot and fluff in each chapter.
I can't have the reader dying on me from fluff overdose, can I?
Now that I have covered everything that was on my agenda for today, I'll see you guys on Monday (9/27/21) with the new chapter of the fourth volume!
Don't worry, the fluff won't be going anywhere.
If anything, it'll be intensified since they're a love struck idiot couple now.
Also, one last thing.
If you were sad that Akari's affection meter had finished, don't be.
There will be a new meter replacing that, although it won't technically be just Akari's.
I guarantee you that you readers will enjoy the new meter just as you did the old one.
