Chapter 217

Mel's POV

My name is Mel.

People call me "the world's strongest sage" or "the guardian feared even by the demon king," but I'm just a lonely "incredibly cute widow."

I'm so cute and amazing that normal humans aren't enough for me.

After all, my beloved husband was the "Hero (Yuusha) and King Zect," and the other person I loved was the "divine dragon Ceres."

I can't love anyone else... no one else can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me.

There is no one.

"Zect, don't die... don't leave me alone..." Lida pleaded.

Lida... you're not alone yet, everyone is still here.

"No, I don't want to say goodbye..." Maria cried out.

Maria... you know there's an afterlife, right?

We'll be able to meet again soon...

Marin-san, Luna-chan and I just watched the two of them, looking so sad.

We've aged... but maybe Ceres did something... even though everyone here is over 100 years old, they look like they're in their 50s.

"Everyone, it was really fun... thank you..." Zect said with a smile and so he died...

This is all just a farce... everyone knows that... there's no need to cry.

After all, we're just going to the world of the underworld dragon Bauer-sama...

Anyway, we're looking forward to getting younger and meeting Ceres, aren't we?

"I'm sorry... Mel," Maria apologized.

Knock knock knock.

"Mother, have you finished saying goodbye to Father... may I come in now?" the first child asked.

"Mother... I also want to say goodbye soon," another child chimed in.

"Mother, I understand that it's sad... please open the door," the third child added.

That's not nice.

All the kids are knocking on the door.

I feel like I've been deceived, and it makes me angry... But I won't leave it like this.

"I'll go first because it's lonely to be left alone... Lida, Maria, see you later!" I declared, determined to leave.

"Wait, Mel... it will cause trouble for the children... I'll leave the rest to you..." Lida pleaded.

"I don't want the kids to be in trouble... no... don't do this," Maria begged.

I don't care...

"I... I don't care..." I said stubbornly.

I pointed the short sword I had to my neck and pulled.

"Bye-bye."

"Mel, you're so sly..." Lida whispered.

"Mel... don't die before us..." Maria added, annoyed.

Don't try to push everything onto us... it's better to leave the kids to you.

Hahaha, we'll meet again soon anyway... if you complain to me, I'll take it out on you.The roots of this story extend from novell bìn origin.
