After the premiere ended, the audience dispersed.

Rong Yuheng was still sitting in his seat, wiping away tears. He felt really upset, and it took him a long time to recover.

The scene of the bayonet piercing Wen Zhecheng’s body on the screen lingered in his mind. Also, the hand with which Wen Zhecheng tightly grasped the bayonet, the knuckles turning white, displaying a determination and courage to face death.

Wen Zhecheng remained seated beside him, not getting up. He just lowered his head, gazing at Rong Yuheng with a mix of heartache and affection in his eyes.

He knew that Rong Yuheng crying like this was partly his fault.

The character he portrayed met his end in a heroic, righteous, and resolute manner, sacrificing himself in the prime of his life. In the tumultuous currents of history, he created a splash of blood-red.

When Wen Zhecheng had invited Rong Yuheng to watch the premiere a long time ago, he had thought that Rong Yuheng might cry and that he could comfort him by hugging him. But on this day, he found himself unable to make any move.

Perhaps back then, his affection wasn’t deep enough, and he only thought about being close to someone intimately. Now that he had truly placed Rong Yuheng in his heart, he only wanted to ensure that Rong Yuheng wouldn’t be so distressed. He was afraid that any gesture from him would disturb Rong Yuheng.

There were still people taking pictures in their direction, and some media even used flashlights. A bright flash illuminated the area — Rong Yuheng wiped his tears and furrowed his brows slightly.

Wen Zhecheng, usually with a good temper, felt a burst of anger rising within him. His Rong Rong was crying, what was there to photograph! After taking the pictures, were they planning to create some kind of narrative?

Wen Zhecheng’s lips tightened into a straight line. He turned to scold the photographers, but his arm was pulled back by someone.

Rong Yuheng, with red eyes, sniffled and used his comforting catchphrase, “Don’t get angry, getting angry can make you sick~.”

Wen Zhecheng rolled his eyes and rubbed Rong Yuheng’s head, “I’ll handle it.”

Rong Yuheng nodded and didn’t ask how he planned to handle it. He just adjusted his mood slightly and praised, “The character you played is so handsome.”

However, before three seconds of strength could be established, he recalled the last “handsome” scene, and tears streamed down again.

Wen Zhecheng, feeling both amused and distressed, consoled him in a low voice, “Don’t cry, little one. Let’s go back to the hotel and rest.”

Rong Yuheng continued to sob.

Wen Zhecheng gently pulled him up by the arm. The action was intimate but not overly so, and even if captured in a photo, it couldn’t imply much.

Back at the hotel, Wen Zhecheng wiped the little hamster’s face with a wet cloth, dropped some milk to soothe the swelling around his eyes. Rong Yuheng tilted his head, enjoying Wen Zhecheng’s care, mumbling to himself, “I really shouldn’t watch movies set in the Republic of China era.”

Wen Zhecheng, feeling a bit regretful, had only shown a segment today, and the film hadn’t officially premiered. He had planned to wait until after the premiere to watch the complete version with Rong Yuheng.

“But since you acted in this one, I can still watch it,” Rong Yuheng continued.

Wen Zhecheng wiped the milk on the hamster’s face for a while, but couldn’t resist anymore. He buried his head and planted a series of kisses…

Finally, Wen Zhecheng, holding the hamster who was kissed until unable to respond, said, “No need to force yourself. We can watch something else.”

Rong Yuheng, in a daze, blurted out, “Are those little movies you acted in?”

Wen Zhecheng, “…”

Rong Yuheng, “…I’m dead again.”

Wen Zhecheng pressed the hamster into his arms, showing great affection, “I don’t mind. We can watch something we both acted in next time.”

Rong Yuheng, in panic, struggled, “Thanks for the invitation, but my schedule is full!”

Ignoring his protests, Wen Zhecheng, acting deaf and mute, had already started imagining a script with tens of thousands of words in his mind…

The two chatted in the room for a while, and when Rong Yuheng adjusted his mood, he prepared to return.

The STAR—T boy group’s performance was the day after tomorrow, and he needed to rest for a night today. Tomorrow, there would be rehearsals and training.

When Rong Yuheng left, Wen Zhecheng went to see him off. The two waited at the hotel lobby entrance for Qu Youhe to drive over. Rong Yuheng looked at the street scene outside the hotel, vehicles speeding by, and a bustling crowd.

Although happy or unfortunate events happened every day in every corner of the city, at least their world was filled with love and peace.

Rong Yuheng extended a small finger from the long sleeve cuff, discreetly hooking Wen Zhecheng’s palm under the cover of his robe.

Wen Zhecheng’s expression shifted, and he reached out, gripping Rong Yuheng’s hand. He turned his head to look at Rong Yuheng, remaining silent.

Rong Yuheng spoke, “Although love during wartime is passionate and unforgettable, I prefer to spend a lifetime with my caregiver, in a continuous and steady flow.”

After saying this, Rong Yuheng seemed a bit embarrassed. How long is a lifetime? Why did he say such cheesy words… but he genuinely felt that way, so he said it.

Wen Zhecheng seemed to be startled, looking at Rong Yuheng’s somewhat shy profile for a while without returning to his senses.

In his mind, there was a buzzing sound, blood flowed through his veins, merging into his heart, and the chest echoed with a series of loud thuds.

Wen Zhecheng felt that the phrase “a lifetime” was more touching to him than any other love words he had heard before.

“Little one…” Wen Zhecheng’s throat moved as he tried to say something in response, but the overwhelming emotions choked him.

After a while, he suddenly untied a knot from his own wrist, lifting Rong Yuheng’s hand and placing it in his palm.

“This wristband, I wear it every time I attend important events. Now, I’m giving it to you.”

Rong Yuheng’s palm opened, revealing a deep blue double-knotted rope with a pea-sized yellow jade in the middle. The color was warm, with a hint of purplish-red.

Rong Yuheng, who came from a well-off family, had some knowledge of jade. He knew that this type of jade was the most valuable among yellow jade. Aside from the intrinsic value of the jade itself, this wristband held a special meaning for Wen Zhecheng.

He touched his nose, “You better wear it… I won’t attend any important events, holding it would be a waste.”

Wen Zhecheng picked it up and directly put it on Rong Yuheng’s wrist. As he tied the knot, he said, “Since we’re going to spend a lifetime together, why be polite?”

After returning to the venue and resting for a night, Rong Yuheng got up the next day to train with the other members.

Having missed a day of training, he rose early, practicing alone in the dance studio for over an hour before the others gradually arrived.

Shan Qi and Tang Ji were the next to arrive after Rong Yuheng. The three of them practiced for a while before Huang Jianing and the others came in.

“Rong Bao, did you check Weibo?” Huang Jianing greeted Rong Yuheng as soon as she entered.

As a surfing enthusiast, she had started checking Weibo early in the morning. “You’re on two hot searches, but you’re positioned below in the rankings.”

Rong Yuheng continued dancing, “I attended the premiere of ‘Overseas Flowers’ yesterday; it was expected.”

Beside them, Bian Chen immediately cast a jealous glance: Damn, why is it so easy for this little idiot to get on hot searches!

Huang Jianing scrolled through the hot searches, saying, “One is indeed about you attending the premiere at the invitation of Teacher Wen. Fans are celebrating below… Oh, there’s also a GIF of you smiling at Teacher Wen on stage. Damn, it’s a bit sweet.”

Rong Yuheng once again made a tempting sound, “So, I told you that it’s profitable to join Zec City. It’s an investment that never loses, everlasting.”

“No, no, no, I can’t invest in it…” Huang Jianing politely declined, continuing, “The other hot search is even more amazing. It’s about a picture of you crying in your seat, and Teacher Wen showing no reaction beside you. There’s even an interview segment asking Teacher Wen if he would give up on love…”

Zou Yi was astonished by this move. “What’s the point of suggesting that Rong Ge has been abandoned?”

“Pretty much.” Huang Jianing continued, “But this post got heavily criticized because the complete interview footage was released quickly. After Teacher Wen answered, there’s a shot of Rong Bao smiling at him. There’s also a GIF of Rong Bao’s side profile illuminated by light, with tears shimmering in his eyes when Teacher Wen’s character sacrificed himself. Damn, what a beautiful love story!”

Zou Yi, “…”

Rong Yuheng didn’t want to talk anymore.

Huang Jianing was obviously having a lot of fun!

The insignificant gossip was soon forgotten as STAR-T members focused on their training.

Although they had performed the song and dance many times, each performance involved adjustments or improvements on the previous one, aiming to present the best stage to their fans.

The next day was the official performance.

Before going on stage, Rong Yuheng wore the bracelet that Wen Zhecheng had given him on his right wrist. His fair skin and the deep color of the bracelet, adorned with a jade, looked stunning against his beautiful wrist bones.

Upon seeing this, Zou Yi was quite curious and immediately pulled his wrist to take a look. “Where did this come from? I’ve never seen you wear it before. It looks pretty! Make me one too!”

Rong Yuheng, speechless, added a hint of playful pride, “It’s a token of love from Teacher Wen. What about you? Want one too?”

Zou Yi immediately retracted his hand as if it was scalded. “No, no, no… wishing you a hundred years of happiness.”

This time, the stage had a semi-circular shape, and STAR-T adjusted their formation to open up the center. This meant that Shan Qi and Rong Yuheng were in the dual center positions.

In the last few minutes before the performance, the audience erupted, and the starry lights on the light sticks filled the entire arena.

Only when the entire venue dimmed did the fans gradually quiet down, and countless glow sticks stopped moving in the darkness. Everyone was holding their breath, waiting for the performance to begin.

The blinding flash of a spotlight suddenly descended from above, yet the center of the stage was empty.

What’s going on? Fans were momentarily bewildered. Was it a performance mishap?

Just then, a shiny black coat suddenly swung out from the darkness, making a “whoosh” sound as it fell into the spotlight.

Following closely, a figure leaped into the light, revealing the heavily made-up Shan Qi.

The music erupted at that precise moment,

“We are stationed on this side!”

Shan Qi’s palms lined up in front of him, and with a sudden tilt of his upper body to the rhythm, he revealed Rong Yuheng, who had mysteriously appeared behind him.

Rong Yuheng’s bangs were half swept away, exposing a clean forehead and elegant eyebrows. A red mole adorned the corner of his eye, accentuating his fair skin. His eyes, under the lights, looked enchanting.

His voice, clear and powerful, proclaimed, “The abyss gazes beneath us!”

As the last note dropped, the two of them simultaneously turned away from each other, flipping their heads to reveal a large expanse of snowy white jawlines. Then, with a graceful slide of their feet, they separated.

At this point, the stage lights overhead fully illuminated, and the intense electronic music exploded throughout the venue as all members appeared on stage!

Shan Qi raised his arms high, pointing to the top. His melodious and husky voice echoed, “All eyes on us…”

The entire audience erupted in screams,

“Ahhhhhh!”

“Brothers, you’re so handsome! Ahhh, Rong Rong is going to slay me!”

“Shan Qi! Shan Qi! Shan Qi!!! The all-around prince, Shan Qi, ahhhh!”

“Ahhhh, abs! Abs, it’s abs!!!”

The six members faced the audience in groups of three on either side, with swirling movements, hip lifts, and pelvic thrusts in sync with the rhythm. The oversized coats flew high as they twirled, revealing slender waists, and the overwhelming hormones seemed to permeate through half the venue!

“Since then I have kept the crown——”

The entire performance unfolded amid explosive and high-energy atmosphere, accompanied by the hoarse screams of fans.

The six members regrouped in the center of the stage. Shan Qi kneeled on one knee, gazing into the camera, while Rong Yuheng stood behind him, holding the microphone and extending the final high note.

The rest of the teammates surrounded Rong Yuheng, freezing their poses as the music abruptly dropped, and Rong Yuheng finished the last high note, pulling the microphone away.

Silence enveloped the venue.

Rong Yuheng was still catching his breath. He looked down, glanced at the audience for two seconds, then suddenly raised his right hand, bringing the microphone to his lips and kissing the back of his hand.

Lips against flesh, a soft “smack” sound echoed through the silent arena via the microphone.

Then, with a wave toward the audience in front of him, Rong Yuheng raised his wrist — a fair wrist revealed from the sleeve, with a deep blue bracelet and a bright yellow jade shimmering under the spotlight.

The fans collectively froze for half a second.

Immediately after, screams that seemed to bypass the brain and erupt purely from instinct pierced through the venue, almost flipping the roof:

“Wow, ahhhh! Ahhhhh!”

Even after the six members descended backstage, the surging atmosphere inside the venue could still be felt. Shan Qi looked at Rong Yuheng somewhat helplessly, “Are you trying to blow up the arena?”

Rong Yuheng had calmed down by now and, at the words, he lowered his head, cupping his face and smiling shyly.

The bracelet peeked out between his wrist, catching the attention of Bian Chen, who was momentarily stunned. “What are you wearing on your hand?”

A casual remark, but it sent Zou Yi’s mind racing like lightning!

“Oh my God! Are you trying to show off this bracelet…” Zou Yi exclaimed.

“What, what!” Huang Jianing, ever the gossip enthusiast, immediately approached. “What’s wrong with this bracelet?”

Zou Yi explained, “That bracelet is a token of love from Teacher Wen to him!”

The rest of the group was instantly dumbfounded, “… What!??”

Shan Qi, who constantly worried about the younger members, pulled Rong Yuheng over and looked at him, giving a hopeful look, “This is a secret token, right? Others don’t know, right?”

Rong Yuheng, shyly, replied, “It’s a token of love that Teacher Wen always wears for important occasions~”

“… …”

All members, pupils shaking: You’re shy and bashful, aren’t you!!!

Author’s Note: Wen Zhecheng: Cupboard, knock knock knock, clang clang clang!!

Rong Yuheng: Cupboard, take off like a rocket!
