Chapter 43: I'm Impressed
Sera sat in a daze, until she heard Lucifer's footsteps. She felt a heartwrenching pain at the sight of him leaving her.
Sera hurriedly held onto Lucifer's hand stopping him in his tracks. Lucifer was shocked by her by her abrupt actions yet he didn't turn his head waiting for her to speak first.
Sera hugged his waist shocking him further, Lucifer's thin lips curved into a smile making him look heavenly. Sera snuggled closely, then spoke feeling nervous,
"I'm ready to take responsibility", her faint voice was soft but audible in the dead of the night.
Lucifer turned around to face her, Sera raised her head to look into his eyes. Lucifer's gaze was filled with warmth, he stroked her cheeks with his calloused fingers.
"I was just kidding, It's quite late. Sleep now", He kissed her lips briefly and went towards the balcony.
Sera followed after him, she was scared out of her wits when Lucifer jumped down from the height. He passed a fleeting glance at her, smiled reassuringly and walked away.
Sera was still shocked by the events that had occurred just now. From Lucifer's sudden appearance to his jump, It was all like a dream for Sera.
Sera clutched her chest, her heart beating wildly confirming that it was indeed real and not a dream. With a silly smile Sera pulled up her quilt and closed her eyes, within seconds she was in the la la land.
Next morning Ethan was in a pleasant mood today as Sera would visit his office for the first time. Assistant Chen was also affected by his boss's happy mood and was smiling from ear to ear.
Sera had already called Ethan, she was on the way. Ethan looked at the time it 10:30 now, after their discussion they could have lunch together.
As he was planning the door to his office opened and Sera walked in. She was looking quite different today, dressed in a white blouse with beige slacks, her hair tied in a loose ponytail she looked professional.
"Hi, may I?", Sera asked as she prepared to sit.
"Yes, why not! So what would you like to have?", Ethan asked.
"Just some tea please, I have the business plan with me", Sera passed a brown leather folder with meticulously arranged documents.
Ethan called assistant Chen to order two cups of tea with some other snacks, and continued to scan the documents in his hand.
Ethan was impressed, it was a perfectly presented business proposal he had seen.
Industry overview, Executive summary, the vision, mission and business structure, market trends, marketing strategy as well as the capital, the numbers were exactly what he had expected.
Everything was meticulously listed and a complete research was carried out on the venture. The possible locations for the art gallery were also listed.
Ethan placed the folder on his desk, a charming smile plastered on his face making him look extra handsome. Sera was waiting patiently for his opinion, she wanted an expert opinion to carryout her plans.
"It's perfect, I can see your capability and your vision as well. I'm impressed, let me help you find the perfect location and investors for this project ", Ethan spoke calming Sera's beating heart.
Sera happily shook the hand Ethan offered her as a confirmation of their deal. Assistant Chen walked in with a secretary carrying a tray when he saw them shaking hands.
It was close to two hours since Ethan and Sera were discussing the terms and conditions of the project, Ethan was guiding Sera and offering his opinions and suggestions wherever necessary.
Zhang Lili who wasn't aware of Sera's arrival was waiting at the lounge for Ethan from past half an hour.
She was told that Ethan was in a meeting so she didn't create a ruckus and waited patiently.
Just as the door to Ethan's office opened Zhang Lili was stunned to see Sera walking out looking very professional unlike her who was dressed in a short dress, clad scantily. Sera was exuding elegance and charm.
Ethan followed behind Sera smiling, both didn't notice a fuming Zhang Lili and strode towards the exit.
Assistant Chen came after a minute to see Zhang Lili sitting like a statue on the couch, glaring daggers at the door.
"Miss Zhang, The CEO had an important meeting and Is out for lunch.. I'm afraid you can't meet him", before he could finish Zhang Lili dashed out in tears.
